I just ordered some apps, general gau, & the Singapore rice noodles for delivery. It was REALLY good! The crab rangoon was so fresh tasting… They do not skimp on the crab. The delivery was fast and the driver was very nice. I’m really looking forward to trying the sushi and some of the other seafood dishes. The red snapper sounds amazing. I would highly recommend this place.

Went there Sunday to get a Take Out «Lunch Special» since I was working acress the street. Only one booth was filled around the time I arrived (approx 12:25PM) yet it took them almost 25 minutes before I was given my order, by then my lunch was just about over. So much for lunch specials!

They really stepped up their dessert game! Just tried the EXOTIC BOMBA and boy oh boy, it was literally the BOMB. So light and delicious. The mango and raspberry sobert is lightly coated with white chocolate and drizzled over with dark chocolate. I am def coming back here. They had me licking the plate. Their sushi was beyond my expectation. Everything from the hamachi to the salmon were fresh.

ZC, formerly named Roka, is a solid place to eat. I live a couple blocks away but I still drive my lazy ass because there’s free parking in the garage.
Half of sushi on weekends is a great deal.
I like the seaweed salad with salmon, hamachi Kama, hottate kayaiki, dancing unagi roll, and for dessert the exotic bomba.
I’ve had a lot of other items but these stood out in recent memory.

I work nearby and come here for lunch often. Their sushi is delicious and so fresh– and also 100% consistent which is really important to me. I come here all the time and often order the same thing so it’s important to me to know that it’s always going to taste the way I like it.
Pro tips: Saturday they have half prices on sushi! Weekdays order off their special lunch menus and dine like a queen for a lot less money.
My favorite maki rolls, Una Avocado and Spicy Salmon are both offered in the $ 10 2 Maki Lunch Special — who could ask for anything more?

We got a few items on grubhub: We were not impressed. I disagree with many of these posts, the food did NOT taste fresh at all, in fact I would say the complete opposite. I will not be ordering from here again.

Overpriced for the the area, its across the Street from Boston Medical Center and the Methadone Clinic. Very shady area. That said the atmosphere is nice and the sushi is decent. Best to go on Saturday or Sunday when they run the half price Maki specials until 9 PM, otherwise look for the coupons that they mail out, then it is worth a visit.

First time here — reviewing for takeout:

–very clean
–fast service
–incredibly friendly (the owner asked me where I was from, what I do, and was keeping me engaged while I waited, giving me opinions on food)
–half priced sushi on weekends (according to the owner)

–weird location (kinda hard to find)
I would totally recommend it. I appreciate a clean establishment and this definitely met my standards.

Came here on a Saturday at lunch time for their half off sushi. Specifically the maki, nigiri, and sashimi are half off.
First impression on the restaurant is that it’s a big space with a modern feel.
The sushi was good but not great, the prices are a little on the higher side especially for their special rolls. Thank goodness for half off otherwise I would have felt severely disappointed. FYI some of the pictures showed 10 pieces for the rolls, when we ordered it was 8 pieces.
The service was fine however there was a few errors.
First we waited a long time for our order: 3 rolls 2 order sashimi (Ocean roll, Bomb bay, Amazing tuna, tuna and octopus sashimi) Around 30– 40mins of a wait for the food.
Secondly, when the waitress delivered the order, she casually mentioned that they didn’t have uni so our Ocean Roll (18.95) didn’t have uni on it. Now Uni is an major ingredient in why we ordered this roll, and it is also an EXPENSIVE ingredient which was probably why the roll was priced at 18.95. When I mentioned to her that uni is kinda a major ingredient in the roll, she just brushed me off and said it’s half off you know. I would have changed my order had we known they didn’t have uni. This particularly turned the experience sour for me. This is like ordering steak and crab legs and then the restaurant brings you a steak and say hey we don’t crab legs but here just eat the steak. This is my worst pet peeve in sushi places, where they try to do bait on switch on you with the ingredients.
In terms of food, the bomb bay maki had way too much cream cheese and probably was my least favorite roll. The other rolls, amazing tuna and ocean roll were pretty good but definitely not worth the regular price tag of 18.95 and 14.95 IMO. The octopus is chewier than I’ve had in other sushi places as well.
Overall the food is good, don’t expect to get everything that they list for ingredients. Service can be slow. For half priced, it’s okay but I definitely would not come back for a full price affair.

Love there Sushi! So delicious. Nice atmosphere except my waitress disappeared for too long between orders and I watched my sushi sit on the bar counter from my table for 15 minutes. Speed it up wait staff!

This restaurant is formally known as Roka and although the name has changed, the quality has not. I work in the building so I’m here at least once a week for lunch.
This time I got the lunch bento box, salmon teriyaki. It was my first time getting the salmon bento box and it did not disappoint, it was cooked perfectly and dressed nicely. It comes with white rice. Salmon, salad w/​their house dressing, a few pieces of the Cali maki roll, tempura veggies and a couple of dumplings for $ 10, such a great deal for the amount of food and deliciousness that you get.
After a long and stressful day, I know I can always grab a drink and a few appetizers during happy hour. Most apps are 50% off, you can’t beat that deal!
Bonus– there is a parking garage across the street and hey validate for parking! Make sure you mention it to them and have your ticket with you.

Not bad, ordered their Gyoza and Mini Dumpling Soup as take out. Portions were very small, there were only 6 gyoza dumplings and the soup came in a very small container. Although the soup was tasty, the broth itself was pretty salty. This review is only based off the two things I tried, sounds like Unilocalers enjoyed many other dishes on their menu!

Good food options, choice from Sushi & Chinese. Large portions and reasonable prices. Kid friendly, the owner made sure we were comfortable. Will be back!

I loved ZC when they were Roka and I still love them. By far the best and freshest Chinese food and sushi. Great food, friendly staff and super fun cocktails. Sit at the sushi bar and and Tony will make you a fun bonus sushi treat. I recommend the Godzilla maki
P.S they have a parking lot in the back and they validate parking so it’s free!

Decent place, with a variety of Asian food… I’ve been here a couple times, since it is conveniently by BU School of Medicine. Their lunch menu is pretty reasonable and comes with a large portion. I was really craving sashimi so I got the 7-​piece sashimi lunch for $ 10.95. WAY overpriced. You can get teriyaki salmon, salad, tempura, gyoza, rice, and a few sushi pieces for $ 9.50. Haha.
They also have some pretty awesome sushi boats — great for large groups.

After being contacted by a customer from the same night, I found out that the «manager /​owner» said to the bartender of that night that me and my girls was «pmsing» infront of everybody. Knowing what happened, i contacted rokas and requested to spesk to the people in charge. After speaking out my concerns, i was offered a «complementary dinner, but after I mentioned about how uncomfortable it is to eat at a place where the bartender will give me dirty looks, and that we’re not trying to score a free meal, the management ssid «oh, you’ll still pay for some of the food» and gave me the excuse that the customer didn’t hear the whole story cause it was loud.
1. It wasn’t busy that night.
2. There’s no excuses why the management would speak behind the customers back instead of correcting the bartenders behavior.
3. Is anybody planning to resolve this issue or should I take actions in my own hands?

I thought I was going to stop Unilocaling, at least for a while, but this place has brought me back. I was just totally surprised by how good the food was.
We were just rolling through the area and pulled a Groupon for them. They have free parking in the garage next door, which is a rarity in this city!
The Sushi was amazing. All the vegetables were crisp and fresh. And the dessert was INCREDIBLE!
The environment is pretty fun too. It’s renovated and has a nice feel to it. There is a large bar with some HD tv’s, but it actually comes across as pretty elegant all things considering.
I don’t usually like fusion places, but this restaurant pulled it off!
