To start, since this place is pretty new, I want to point out what a nice and cozy little setting this is. Also absolutely exceptional service.

Location: 9⁄10 There’s plenty of parking, but it’s located in a plaza with other businesses, so it could be busy later in the day. My visit was in the afternoon! Interior: 9⁄10 clean, open, decorations and furnishings to look at Food: 9⁄10 Amazing. Gotta love those side dishes. Not as many dishes as what I’m used to though! Service: 9⁄10 The timing of food arriving at your table varies. If you’re there on your lunch, they might ask to see if you’re okay waiting 15 minutes. The waiters have always been professional and friendly.

The food was above average, the service was good and the prices were reasonable. It was let down by the weird mix of décor. Christmas decorations were still up a month later, skis on the wall and cello in a corner. However I enjoyed the home style kitchen cabinets near the kitchen which made me feel like I was in someone’s house.

I love the Korea house. Excellent customer service, inviting atmosphere, and most importantly, delicious food. Very authentic cuisine you just can’t find most other places. I happily recommend the Korea House to anyone looking for a great meal.

Delicious food and impeccable friendly service in a modern and comfortable setting. If you’re familiar with Korean food you’ll appreciate the delicious treatment of favorites and if you’re new to the cuisine you’re in for a real treat. The menu has pictures of all of the items, and while that isn’t usually a mark of quality, here it’s a great idea for all of the people new to the food. Great for groups too as they can take larger parties easily. New favorite Korean. Oh, they have a great dinner to be shared by two, or more, that gives and excellent sampling of the food. It’s a lot of food, and all delicious.

Adam L. is in the house! Korea House. And it’s good. We went for lunch and were happy to find a two page lunch menu with a wide variety of favorites — Soft tofu soup in all it’s permutations, bibimbap, bulgogi, gal bi ribs, bulgogi, jap chae. Whatever you like, they had it. They even had sushi, but that wasn’t on our minds. Ban chan are always fun, and sometimes a surprise. Today we were greeted with a fairly normal variety of napa cabbage kimchi, pickled daikon, tofu, bean sprouts, cucumbers, and potatoes. All very good, not too spicy, but well balanced. We settled on some soft tofu soup with kimchi and beef; mild please. It came out in the clay pot bubbly like a fiery caldron of hell broth, red faced and angry. Moderately spicy, with a little saltiness and texture from the kimchi, this is one delicious soup. Bibimbap was also well done, although I’ve usually had it in a stone bowl before, here it was served on a cast iron pan, kind of like a fajita pan. Purple rice was crispy on the bottom from the hot metal, and we got busy mixing the meat and veggies in with the rice and spicy sauce. It’s a tasty and fun dish. Gal bi beef short ribs came out sizzling on their own iron pan, onions caramelizing with the sauce and juices from the beef ribs. Go on Pavlov, I know you’re salivating, at least I was. I’ve had Korea house on my bookmark list for while now, and I’m glad I gave it a try. Their website advertises Korea House as Korean fusion, and they serve a wide variety of dishes Fusion could mean it’s not authentic, but I’ll let others judge that. My experience was being served good quality food that was well prepared, and to my thinking reasonably priced. Staff was friendly and they were doing a good lunch business, so that’s always a good sign. I know I’ll be back.

This place is good! I went with a group of friends of which one was Korean and his exact words were«this place was a good choice, very flavorful –almost the same level as LA Korean food standards» lol all of us loves our dishes and the awesome spread of sides they include with you order. I had the kimchi tofu vegetable soon doo boo. The way the serve it is awesome– bubbling hot! The flavor was delicious and the perfect comfort food I needed on a cold winter day. Even though this place is all the way in Bothell it’s worth the drive from Seattle. The service was great and the layout of the restaurant is nice too. Nice big tables, perfect for family style Korean food. Can’t wait to try other dishes #thevegmovement

Bottom Line — This place is A-OK for Korean. Though I think there is better Korean in Shoreline/Edmonds and Federal Way, but if you’re in Bothell, it’s a good alternative. I came here with a friend, and we ordered the following: A1.Kim-Chi Soon-Doo-Boo($ 10.95, kimchi soft tofu soup with beef or pork) — We got this with pork, and it was nice; not too spicy. B1. Gal-Bi($ 29.95, Korean BBQ short rib. Plain or spicy) — We got the plain. This was average as far as galbi is concerned. A little on the pricey side. B12. Maeun Dak-Gangjong($ 15.95, deep fried chicken pieces coated in a sweet and spicy glaze) — I have to say that this dish was a bit disappointing, and made us think of Panda Express. We would not order this again. Because we live in Seattle, we would not specifically make the trek out to Bothell for this restaurant; however, if we were in the area and really craving Korean, I would consider coming back. Service was really good; the owners are super friendly!

Honestly, this place is amazing in every way. We got the bbq beef(definitely feeds two people but I think you can order a half size) and soft tofu soup with clams, mussels, beef and pork. The beef came with rice, and a bunch of sides kim chee, tofu, bean sprouts, potato and I forget what else. They refill the sides for you when you run out. The food was amazing, my boyfriend and I have a lot left over. What also stood out was the service. Everyone was so nice, friendly and accommodating. It seems like a family owned place, the décor is modern and cozy. Just the two of us took up a big table because there were no more small tables in which the server was super nice about! Thanks for the great meal and experience, we will definitely be back

Clean, nice décor, and family-like warm service? AND large portions? Look no further than Korea house for your bulgolgi and bibimbap cravings. Minor detail, but with all the small side dishes that you get with Korean cuisine, your table tends to fill up quickly; but at Korea house, the tables are big enough to accommodate all your delectable dishes with room to spare.

Korea House is a family-owned Korean restaurant with beautiful, modern décor. The wait staff is SO friendly and fun. :) I love how laid back everyone who works here seems. The side dishes are super fresh, probably some of the best sides I’ve had at a Korean restaurant. I had the tofu bibimbap. I’m a huge fan of the stone pot but elected for the regular bowl this time. While I love the purple rice and the ingredients were fresh, I was a little disappointed to have little strips of egg instead of a yolky egg I could pop. Honestly, that is the only thing that would keep me from frequenting the Korea House. I’m going to try the dol sot next time so I can see if maybe they only put the yolky egg in the hot pots? The spicy sauce is also some of the best I’ve had, though, it’s not as spicy as most. It’s got a sweet kick to it. It’s delicious though! I want to try some of their fish oriented selections and definitely something in a hot pot! I love some crispy rice.

I really like this place! I came here around 3 pm on a Saturday with my friend for a late lunch. There is no lunch special on the weekends so the items are a few dollars more expensive. I ordered the handmade noodles with claim. I was very pleasantly surprised by the texture of the noodles. They actually tasted like freshly made pasta. I thought the clams were nice and light and the broth was flavorful. Everything tasted fresh. I also enjoyed the ban chan which is your standard affair but I thought was nicely done. The service was friendly and fast. I would definitely come again if I am in the area.

**Review for take-out** One lazy day, I wasn’t in the mood to cook at all and I was craving Korean. This place was the only korean restaraunt(according to Unilocal) in Bothell so I gave it a try. I checked out their menu and saw that it was $ 25 for the bulgogi dish & $ 30 for Galbi. I was a bit surprised that Galbi was $ 30 since my favorite place up north in the Edmonds/Lynnwood area was $ 25. Anyways, I sucked it up because the craving was REAL. I figured I can give it a shot and see how much I get. I drove back home after picking it up before I opened the boxes. And maybe they give more for dine-in, but I was really disappointed how small it was :(Maybe I’m spoiled from the other restaurant I go to(that’s farther away) because I felt like what I got was not worth what I paid for at all. Again– this was only for take-out. From the looks of all the reviews, people enjoy their time inside. Maybe I’ll give it a shot… A positive– the guy who worked there was really nice.

Initially I was a bit thrown off when trying to locate this place because there was a sign in Chinese above the restaurant. The restaurant is located at the far left end of the Plaza and there’s plenty of parking spots even when busy. Although the exterior seems old, the interior has a fresh look. I think that the establishment has an upscale feel. The dishes here are well made with quality ingredients except for the free salad. The salad is the only outlier since it’s just a lettuce mix from a bag that barely has any dressing on it, so it’s practically flavorless. Do not let that deter you from having a positive experience. The dishes from soups to the Korean BBQ are all amazing. My all time favorite is spicy garlic pork belly. Also, the side dishes that they give complimentary are really good too. The only aspect of needed improvement is the service. Although friendly for the most part, they don’t seem to have enough staff to match the number of customers. I regularly have flag them down in order to just get a water refill. Aside from that, I think that food is great even though a bit over priced, but I think it’s definitely worth a try.

I’ve been here a few times and every time has been great. The service is great and everyone is extremely friendly, always greeting us with a smile. Came here last night with my boyfriend and his family, as well as my family. I noticed they added something new to their menu, sushi! As a sushi fanatic, I was a bit skeptical about ordering sushi at a none sushi restaurant but I was wrong. The fish cut was not thin! Each role were deliciously made by the owner himself, who is very friendly. We ordered the 4 ft long sushi rolls(chefs choice) and we were not disappointed. The prices are in the high range but it makes up with the portion. Every time my boyfriend and I come here, we always ordered at least two dish to share but could never finish them. Just too much food. I will keep coming back here and highly recommend this to anyone.

I’ve been here several times — and i admit their dishes are quite delicious. Staff is generally welcoming and nice, but candidly speaking, not as attentive as I’d like for them to be. They will greet you, seat you to a table, but then kind of zip in and out throughout the course of your meal. I do like that they provide complimentary salad for everyone, which is a plus. Be aware that prices here are pretty steep compared to other korean restaurants. At the end of the day, I’m happy that this place is located in close proximity to my home and I’ll be a returning customer.

If you are a local who loves going to Korea House for your Korean food fix, skip this review, because it will probably piss you off. With Lynnwood and Edmonds full of more authentic and cheaper Korean food just a few miles up I-405/I-5, I do not understand how this place gets the reviews it does. My husband and I have been monitoring the Unilocal reviews on this new’ish Korean restaurant since it opened. We found ourselves running errands in Woodinville yesterday, so we decided to try Korea House for dinner. The space itself is lovely, and we were greeted by a friendly waiter and seated at a large table to accommodate our family. And let me say that the staff was courteous and service was good throughout our meal. As for the food… We ordered a Family Dinner meal that included smaller portions of grilled mackerel, marinated kalbi, pork katsu, fish jun and vegetable pancake. Of the lot, the grilled mackerel and pork katsu were fine — nothing great but passable. The vegetable pancake was crispy along the edges but raw in the middle. The fish jun(fish dipped in egg and pan-fried) tasted strongly of dirt — likely farmed tilapia. And the kalbi was very sweet — so much sugar, there was like a glaze on it. Oh, the meal came with dweng jang jigae, but they kindly subbed it for soft tofu stew for the kids — which was SUPER nice service-wise — but the tofu stew was bland. We also ordered an order of shrimp tempura. What do you envision when you think of shrimp tempura? Straightened shrimp that is coated in panko and deep fried, right? Look at my pictures — this was straight up frozen coconut shrimp from Costco, folks. My picky but shrimp tempura-loving kid took one bite and said, ‘What kind of shrimp tempura is this? Why is it so sweet?’ Sadly, this is what I ate most of, since it was the best thing on the table. There was also a spicy fried chicken dish we ordered last minute. Inedible. I literally spat it out. Freezer burnt chicken meat. My husband insisted if you ate the smaller pieces, it tasted better, since you got mainly fried coating. Really? And the sauce had no flavor that I could discern. We barely touched it — such a waste of $ 15.95. Finally, we ordered the mul neng myun and bulgogi combo. As far as the broth goes, the mul neng myun wins for coldness — nice pieces of frozen broth pieces floating around. However, it tasted like it was straight up from a seasoning packet, no beef detected in that broth at all. We think this is why they serve it with bulgogi rather than having sliced beef brisket in the neng myun. The broth was also very sweet. And the noodles were not homemade — they were the frozen noodles. For being frozen noodles, they did cook them well. However, you can find much better mul neng myun in Lynnwood and Bellevue with homemade buckwheat noodles and more savory, beefy broth. Oh and the kicker with this total fail of a meal? It was pricier than any other Korean restaurant we’ve tried from Lynnwood to Shoreline to Bellevue to Federal Way. Thumbs up for service, thumbs down for food and price.

I really wanted to give 5 stars because of the excellent service and fun atmosphere. The creative sake/soju infusions were a delight and the manager has so much charisma and energy, it’s a great experience. The environment is very clean and upkept. The architecture is open and yet private for your dinner needs. The timeliness of service was awesome and prompt. The food arrived and I was excited! The side dishes were various and abundant. Wait staff was always available and checking up on needs at a good interval given the type of food and needs that come with it. The unfortunate 1 star fault would be placed due to the undercooked chicken I found in the pile of ok tasting«spicy» chicken I ordered. The price is a little higher than most I have seen out of the Seattle general area. The kimchee soup was awesome. but the chicken once again, was not sautéed with much flavor and of course… rubbery undercooked pieces turned me away from the whole thing in the end. Lucky for us, the soup was good enough to live off of and had great pieces of non fatty beef in it as well. Love the place, the people, and the clean atmosphere. Overall, I am a fan. Thanks!
