I have been taking piano lesson with Mizue for exactly one year now. I have nothing else but great things to say. I am an adult beginner. I have never imagined playing piano with both hands. But I’m happy to report that I can now. Mizue is patient and accommodate my learning interests. She also has a lot of young students. And I learned that Mizue used to be a professional performer. I would highly recommend her for piano learning for all ages and skill levels.

My 9 year-old has been taking piano lessons with Ms. Murakami since the beginning of the year. We are so happy that we found her! DD loves to play, is happy to practise(!) and is even happy to do her music theory. It is a joy to watch her blossom under Mizue’s teaching. When she found out I was writing this review, my daughter asked me to be sure to say that Mizue is «the most awesome piano teacher in the world!»

I have been learning piano playing with Ms. Mizue for over a year now. I’m grateful to Ms. Mizue for her patience and guidance not only during the lessons but also the help for picking a piano and answer any piano learning related questions offline. Lesson session with Ms. Mizue is always encouraging and comfortable; She is able to promptly identify the improvements I can make for each piece I play and give guidance for future improvements. She shows interests in my music taste and together we pick the next piece to work on for my level. As an adult learner, time flexibility and learning curve are the two main obstacles. For me, when I get busy at work, I don’t get much time to practice between weekly lessons, Ms. Mizue is ok with that and emphasize that the piano lesson could keep the momentum going. However, if you want to see a steady improvement, consistency is important, even 10 minutes per day is better than one-time 1 hour playing before each lesson. I took that advice and do notice the differences! Finally, Ms. Mizue is a great teacher with sophisticated piano skills and patience. After one year with her, I feel more motivated and learning more and more in piano playing(when you are an adult learner, there are too many distractions. Keeping the interest and motivation is so important! :)) I recommend Ms. Mizue for anyone who is interested in learning piano at any level.
