Oasis Nails and Hair Salon

This store is relatively new in this long standing strip mall, it’s been a salon of sorts for awhile (used to be a Fantastic Sam’s or some such chain place).
The shop is clean, with your typical small waiting area with magazines and such.
Service is not that great. I was the only customer when I walked in. Two stylists and a friend just hanging out were the only people in the place. After greeting me and asking me what I would like to do, the stylists went back to finishing their own hair before seating me to get started.
It wasn’t a difficult request. A very simple trim and very simple quick style. I could and do easily do these things myself on a regular basis, but for the purposes of this day, I was willing to pay money to have it done for me and quickly.
I was direct, clear, concise in discussing what I would like done.
I was not listened to.
Other than my bangs now being the bastard child of a kindergarten teacher getting too close to safety scissors and the lost soul of Betty Paige the haircut itself is not bad…
But it’s not at all what I asked for, and it’s not at all worth the price I paid. (relatively cheap, but a $ 5 barber named Joe Bob could have done this)
It was my first visit, and it’s my last. A shame, because I know people who’ve gotten really good manicures there for a great deal.
