Richard is the absolute best. I had a nightmare of a resizing job to be done and he handled it flawlessly, along with placing a diamond. He designed how to place the diamond in a way I hadn’t thought of that improved the ring’s overall appearance and highlighted the diamond better. It looks incredible. I’ve had it back for about a month now and I still find myself staring at it every single day. He does an outstanding, honest, fairly priced job, and is a joy to work with on top of it. I haven’t trusted anyone else with my jewelry in the two years since I discovered Olson Design and don’t plan on doing so until he retires!

I wanted to make a Mother’s Ring out of gold bracelets that were given to me as a child, by my grandma w/​my family’s birthstones. Richard was the only local shop around that would reuse & repurpose my gold to be used in my ring, which other than being sentimental, helped with the overall $$. He was awesome to work with, & really knows his stones! The piece he created is exactly what I envisioned. It was a pleasure working with Richard & and I am so happy & proud of my new ring.

I can’t speak highly enough about Richard and his company, Olson Design. I brought him my wife’s wedding band that had broken in half (!) for repair. Richard said that it was the strangest thing that he had ever seen, but that he would be able to weld the two halves back together. I also gave him my wedding band and had him restore both rings to «like new» condition. Well, they were both better than new. He redid an extensive Florentine finish on both rings and carefully polished the surrounding areas. On top of it all, he got the rings ready in time for my wedding anniversary and his charge for the work was exceptionally reasonable.
What a delight to have such a skilled craftsman here in Bothell! Richard will be seeing me again!

We just moved to the area and my husband’s band was damaged in the move. Through Unilocal,I found Olson Design. The owner graciously repaired the band at no cost and even made it look like new!!! Great service, very friendly, beautiful original jewelry… And even tips for nearby restaurants!

Richard is a true artist. He re-​designed my grandmothers wedding set for me, and it is perfect. He is a character, a beer lover and an avid rock hunter! He is an old school jeweler that loves what he does and it shows!

I had Richard Olson (owner) of Olson design, designed, and manufacture my wife’s and my wedding bands and matching ear rings for her. The whole ring sets are completely custom, and nickle free. They are beautiful and a work of art. All the stones match very well. Richard is extremely courteous, very friendly and exceptionally passionate about what he does. This results in an exceptional products. Richard worked with me on the design of the rings, the rings are truly unique, one of a kind, and designed to last a life time.
Prior to employing Richard to make our rings I went to all of the big name jewelry stores, received quote after quote, all were much higher than Richard for something far less. There is incredible value in the rings and ear rings I bought from him.

The owner Richard is a true artist and is really ‘all about the customer’. I think what makes this place so special is the owner’s obvious love of rocks & gems mixed with real artistic vision. In addition to incredible and unique jewelry, he also takes these amazing macro photos of rocks and frames them along with the stone. They wow! It’s well worth a stop — especially if you want something truly unique or one-​of-​a-​kind. It may not look as fancy as these big jewelry stores, but they pale in comparison to the artistry you’ll find at this place.
