Rain City Wines is fabulous. The owner is outstanding and he really knows his wines. Timothy M. is misguided in his harsh review. Rain City is all about fine wines from outside the US because American wines can easily be found elsewhere in the Seattle area. Rain City has a deep and fantastic inventory of hard to find/never seen wines because stock sells so quickly here. The owner genuinly cares about helping everyone who comes into the shop and has never steered me wrong. If you want US-sourced wines, go elsewhere. If you want knowledgeable wine advice from a caring and thoughtful owner, go to Rain City Wines. You will not be disappointed.

The owner was rude and strongly uninformed in many of wines basic knowledge. He has dunked his head in pure European wines while rejecting American wines and all they have done. This is a one sided wine shop with a wine owner who does not care nor know his clients as they walk in the door as to what they like or where they come from. He should spend more time knowing them instead of trying to insult them and impress them! In short don’t waste your time going to this store… you would be better served at any local grocery store! Sad but true!

I finally stopped by this hidden gem in of all places Bothell! Excellent French & Italian wine selections among many others in a kitch setting. The owner Santo seems very knowledgeable and was very happy to help select my wines. Ill be bak for sure!

I happened to find this store on a recent trip. The owner introduced me to some new wines, which were all good and a great value. Hopefully I will be in town when they do a tasting!

Rain City Wines is really quite the find. Friendly service focused on quality wines of all prices. Santo hasn’t steered me wrong yet when it has come to his recommendations and all have been quite fairly priced.

A great experience, Santo was helpful in answering our questions and he made it fun to learn about the options available to us. We wanted a Pinot and Santo recommended a bottle of the Syncline. It was amazing. Really enjoyed the shopping experience and customer service and am looking forward to going back again. Their blog has a full list of events and there are tastings on the weekend.

What a fantastic and much-needed addition to downtown Bothell. The proprietor, Santo was extremely knowledgable, and made some great recommendations. I had three tasty drops, all three were delightful, and took home a few bottles from their ecclectic selection from around the world. This is not your father’s wine shop. There is a very welcome1:100 approximate ratio of local vintages to imports, enitcing you into desire to explore your global palate with unique vintages from Spain, Portugal, and many a destination often missed in the ubiquitous local vintage wine scene. You REALLY must stop in for a visit and sample a drop, and I can guarantee you will go home with a few bottles you’ve never tried before. It is going to be really difficult to bother with the extra 100 yards to get to Woodinville anymore…
