I called Teeter’s Service about two years ago for standard furnace cleaning. I found out about Teeter’s after a neighbor told me that her furnace had conked out and she was told by another company(don’t know who) that she needed a new furnace. She called Teeter’s for a 2nd opinion and Dan Teeter said that she needed a repair, not a replacement, and he fixed her furnace for about 90% less than a new one would have cost her. Sounded like my kind of honest guy, and I immediately liked Dan when he came shortly thereafter to clean my furnace. He was quick, professional, friendly, and his fees are very reasonable. Fast forward to a week ago when my own furnace was in need of repair. I called Dan and he told me he could come that day but it would be late afternoon/evening. That was fine with me because our recent cold snap wasn’t supposed to start until the next day, so I really appreciated him putting me on the list for that day. He called me that afternoon to let me know his other jobs had been running a bit long, but he would get to me asap. He called me again later to let me know he was on his way. I really appreciated that he kept me informed like that — very considerate. He arrived and within ½ hour had replaced the igniter, cleaned my furnace, and changed the filter. Also, as tired as he must have been on a busy day during his busiest season, he couldn’t have been more pleasant. He even had one more customer to visit after me, and he left me at about 7:00 or 7:30PM. I was pleasantly surprised by the fee, too. I didn’t know what to expect, but he charged me only a little more that what it cost to have standard maintenance performed. Bottom line: If you want a super-pleasant, hard-working, honest guy to maintain and/or repair your furnace, you should definitely call Teeter’s Service.
