Review #711 Considering that this is review 711, it is appropriate that I review 7-Eleven. This just aint any 7-Eleven; it is the Boulder City Historic Business District 7-Eleven. This review is long overdue. As far back as I’ve been visiting Boulder City, which goes back a decade I have been thanking heaven for this Seven Eleven. Okay, I don’t know about thanking heaven for this 7-Eleven, but I am thankful for the hydration they sold me that has kept me replenished. On a personal note, this is the first Southern Nevada 7-Eleven that I stopped in the very first time I drove a car in Las Vegas way back in the Fall of 2004 when I was on the way to a job interview in Phoenix. On a drive into Arizona, this is really the Last Stop in Southern Nevada. From 2005 I have frequently stopped here when I spend time in Boulder City enjoying a breakfast, strolling around the historic business district before a hike. I frequently pick up a cold beverage that will keep me replenished during the hike. Sometimes after the stars and moon have come out, and I am passing over dinner in Boulder City, I’ll buy a Big Gulp for the drive toward the neon lights of the Las Vegas Valley. Being that 7-Eleven is a convenience store, it is a convenient walk along Nevada Way from the historic business district and the Albertson’s-anchored shopping plaza. If I arrive here by car, there is sufficient parking. The store is bright and clean. Because gambling is illegal in Boulder City proper, the rings and bells of the slot machines are nonexistent. This might be one of the only two 7-Eleven stores in Southern Nevada without slot machines(the other one is off Utah Street). The layout is elongated with the checkout lane to the right and hydration along the back wall. It is usual for me to leave with a Big Gulp, a refreshing treat that I have enjoyed since elementary school. Although there is a want for a Coke Freestyle fountain, I have experienced zero issues with flat cola. Oftentimes they offer a nice deal on Gatorade where you can get two Gatorade for $ 3. If I stop here on the way home, I may pick up a competitively priced 25 ounce can of Bud Ice for home. I am thankful for this 7-Eleven. Beyond the city limits of Boulder City are miles of open desert. This is a last stop to load up on the beverages to keep you hydrated. When driving and hiking through the desert while sipping a refreshing beverage, you just might thank heaven for this 7-Eleven. *I have often rated convenience stores 3 stars. On account of the fact that this 7-Eleven is a clean and convenient retailer of hydration near miles of desert along US93 and hiking trails I am a fan.
