Vegas Off Road Experience- VORE

These guys are awesome! These trucks are amazing. Yesterday was my second visit in a month. My first visit i only did the 30 miles which was so fun it felt like 5 minutes. Yesterday i did the 120 mile trip which i highly recommend. It takes some time to get comfortable with these trucks because they have about two feet of suspension travel at each corner so it’s not like driving anything else i’ve ever driven. After the desert run we did some laps on their short track. Getting serious air was exhilarating. This should be everyone’s bucket list. Thanks Jason and team for an outstanding experience.

I took my pop for his 70^th and it was one of the best times I have ever had with him! The staff is super friendly. The operation end is the furthest thing from nickel and diming corporate America. The value they provide for their race packages will make you pinch yourself as you drink your $ 20.00 martini back on the strip :-) If you like speed and fun I highly recommend this experience. Top notch from booking to racing!!!

We had a great Time with VORE! They works with me to build a custom package of trucks Raptors me lunch that fit our budget and time and we couldn’t believe how much we were able to do. Hell Yeah!!! When we first looked this place up I thought, nah, your going to slowly drive around a truck over bumps, NO. You actually get off the ground and im talking 5 – 8′ off the ground. Yes the trucks only have 250 HP as another review stated but I assure you, its more than enough to have fun on the track. I have done exotics racing (twice) and dream racing once and I can say with 100% confidence that this is the best value for an automotive experience in Vegas. You can rent exotic cars anywhere, but where else can you slide around corners and catch 8′ of air while traveling around 40′ forward. The group of instructors/​guides were awesome, it was a very laid back experience and the guides did not ride in the trucks with us, so that meant that I got a bunch of laps riding with my friend and then he got a bunch of laps riding with me. Next time we come back we will definitely do a desert experience and more laps on the short course. DO NOT PASS THIS ONE UP, if your deciding between an exotic and this, do this, trust me.

If you’re looking for the ultimate adrenaline rush with a mix of dirt and wide open desert– this is the place for you. If you’re staying on the Vegas strip, they will come and pick you up/​drop you off. Robby and Mike were great instructors and fuckin killer drivers! They go through everything so you just get into the truck, pedal to the metal and GO! It’s a little pricey but it’s an experience like no other and will leave you with incredible memories! Oh did I mention if the trucks aren’t enough you can head over to the gun range after and fire anything from a pistol to a .50 CAL! Yeah these boys have the toys! Check em out, you won’t be disappointed!

Incredible, epic, and amazing time at VORE! The off roading was intense, especially the short track laps. The 40′ table top jump was just amazing to fly that truck. Must do event when in Vegas. The VORE staff was also very top notch and all super friendly. Highest recommendation!

Amazing time out on the track my boyfriend and I had with Jason! I bought 10 laps for my boyfriend’s 30^th birthday present, and his dream of driving these trucks came true! I highly recommend this over the racing cars. I got to ride along while he drove, and our helmets were equipped with radios to talk to one another and the instructor. Awesome, amazing time!

Just a ridiculously fun experience! Exceeded my expectations! Great instructors and learned a ton. Did the Raptor and sport truck racetrack events! Try it and you won’t be disappointed! Jason and Tony were first class!

This was a pretty great experience! The staff there was amazing! The guide driver was quick to make sure we all knew what obstacles were coming. We did the 60 mile desert trip and the laps around the track. It was a blast! We are from here and are off road drivers, so coming from someone who does this for fun on the weekends myself, it was still really great! My husband and I would recommend this for sure!

HANDS DOWN the most fun a motorsports junkie can have in Vegas… I’ve done it twice now, once through the desert with short course after, and once 20 laps of the short course. I am an avid motorsports junkie and have driven everything from 1000hp street cars to an actual monster truck and VORE is still something I cannot get enough of.
A little about myself: I am a monster truck guy. Worked in the industry for several years. Now I work in oil as a field mechanic. I’ve driven everything, raced anything I could, and am overall a performance fanatic.
Unless you just absolutely want to drive an exotic car, VORE is the best driving experience I’ve ever paid for!
My friends and I meet up in Vegas every March for the Monster Jam world finals and if everyone has the spare cash we go to VORE.
Personally, I prefer the short course which is like a giant go kart track with ramps. The trucks have roughly 2 feet of suspension travel and I’ve yet to hurt myself flying as far as I could. We have photos of us 8+ feet off the ground and we estimate we were flying at least 80ft out on the big table top.
The group I go with consists of people ranging from professional monster truck drivers that you see on TV to photographers. Not one single person has EVER said it wasn’t worth the price, and some of the guys save up all year to afford it. It is THAT good.
When I finally decide to settle down, one of my tests to see if she’s the «one» will be a trip to VORE. If she can’t handle that, she can’t handle me.

The real deal. Not too many rules and regulations. The staff are very professional, yet they want to make sure you have the time of your life. Trucks are legit– the air is real! Total blast!

If you’re looking for a great time jumping off-​road trucks, this is the place to go!
The company I worked for had a management meeting here and we were all able to race through the course together. After that, BBQ lunch was catered.
The trucks you drive are the actual trucks the teams take racing in Baja and other places, so it’s all legit.
The driver’s training was great and every one of the employees treated us kindly. I would absolutely go back to jump those trucks again.

Awesome experience. Jason and the crew were very helpful and made the experience a fun time. Don’t wear your favorite shirts or jeans.

Epic time romping on the short track!
Jason picked us up from the hotel in the Raptor, took us to the compound (which has guns, trucks, and a bar, … heaven). Gave a short intro and we were off to the track. Each of us got our own truck and were spaced out perfectly on the track. Hardly even saw each other so made it way more fun and you could open it up without worrying about bumping anyone.
Jason and the guys were super helpful and taught us how to rip it offroad vs the tarmack. These trucks are constantly getting worked on to make sure they are in tip top shape. It’s unreal the amount of use these things get and they still are ready to race!
Can’t wait to get out there again and rip it out in the desert. Thanks again to Jason and the guys for a great time!

I was very very very excited about taking my friends to this off road experience. After saving up for months, and sleepless nights of excitement, the day had finally come and to the desert we were headed. Our experience began with our pick up that was running 20 minutes late, though she called a head and let us know which was very considerate. Upon arriving to the staging area, my concerns started to arise.
The baja ready race trucks advertised were low end knock offs. 250hp V6 with 3 speed trannies. Ok, did I want one of the ½ million dollar trophy trucks pumping out 750hp at the rear wheels, sure! Was I a little disappointed to get into a watered down version. Yeah, but i understood. there is liability, reliability, maintenance, etc that goes into those monster trucks that wouldn’t work as a viable business model. But its cool. we’re here, little over sold, but whatever, game on!
The team that greeted us, most of them were with the company for less than a month, despite the company being in business for over 6 years. (red flag) While sitting in idle in the truck that none of my instrumentation gauges were working. The oil pressure gauge was covered up with black tape, though the red warning light still glowed from underneath.
Not to be deterred, we waiting for the team to change a flat on another truck (super common, those guys had it swapped in under 5 min) and we were off. 4 to 5 miles into the adventure the first mechanical failure struck a truck in the head of our column. The throttle cable broke and a repair was made via duct tape and perseverance. (NOte: each truck is equipped with a GPS that gives you mileage down to the 100^th of a mile for navigation)
After 20 minutes we were off again and back on the trail. another 7 miles into the treck however my alternator light kept coming on and I repeatedly came to a halt as the truck stalled and refused to restart. I lost sight of the truck column, while i struggled to get my truck running again. After many start/​stops, the truck came back to life, and after only a 20 min delay we were back on the ride. After limping into a stop point, although I paid to drive, I was now riding shotgun on the tour with my friend and we had to take turns driving because the group was now down 2 trucks.
It wasn’t long there after (another 6 miles) that another truck in our convoy over heated or broke down (vapor lock, a common desert element prevented by cheap heat insulation on fuel lines and cloths pins) brought the column to a halt. We waiting in the sweltering heat of the desert for 30 minutes until the truck was ready to start again, and we pulled a 180 and headed back to the break down area. That little 5 mile run was the best of the day, giving me a taste as to what that experience could have been.
I did however almost roll over however when I went to press the brakes and found that… there wernt any! Getting a little rough drifting around a nice turn, we touched the berm and would it not have been for my previous off roading experience and luck, I’m not sure I would have kept the truck on all four wheels. Rule number 1 of any high octane vehicle. GOOD BREAKS. At this point I had completely lost confidence in the integrity of these trucks, and felt unsafe driving them.
Upon reaching the breakdown area, my truck did what it was supposed to do, and broke down itself. Before hearing the predictable that we’ll have to wait 30 min for the engines to cool down, my friends an I opted to call the tour already running 2.5 hours over from breakdowns and head back to the hotel to eat.
We heard a number of excuses on that this is racing and we should have expected mechanical failures. Though in my opinion, we paid a large sum of money for an experience with a company that had been doing this for over 6 years. My expectation was that the trucks would be safe, and in good working order. That we would complete the package as purchased and had many a fine story to tell.
What we got was mechanical failures and a customer service run around that began with being provided the wrong contact information to lodge a complaint, our complaint being competently ignored, and subsequent efforts to discuss our issues, deleted from voice mail. Of the 5 truck that left the starting line, 2 were running when we called it quits.
From what could have been a run of bad luck and chalked up to good faith, became shotty maintenance, and snake oil salesmen. I will not go back, and I will recommend you spend your bucks here. Go to one of the many other companies and rent quads or sand rails which are more reliable and better maintained.

Update: After several weeks of trying to get a resolution, we requested 50% refund for only getting half of our experience. The owners continued to play games and dodge any responsibility to their customers. After filing a dispute with Amex, amex ruled in Vore’s favor.

The staff was great! We had a delightfully dusty and dirty olé time :)
For someone who has had a fair amount of off-​roading experience, I would say this would definitely be for beginners. In no way shape or form am I tooting any horns, but it was just a single circular track that you ride around. It has a few whoops, one in particular that’s pretty cool, gives you good air.
The trucks do not have doors, just be aware of that.
And it’s located right inside Boulder City.

This was one of the most fun experiences I’ve had in Las Vegas. And luckily, it is only about 15 minutes south of my house in Henderson. I can’t wait to go back!
VORE has their own drivers. I decided after my ride with a professional that I think I would prefer to have someone else drive. I drove a Lambo out at Exotics Racing at the Speedway, and I felt like a Granny! It’s just not in my blood to try and go that fast. So, having the professional driver was a big plus. He didn’t hold back and really put the pedal to the metal on the track.
The trucks are $ 160,000 each and the dirt course is in great condition. The track is sponsored by Ford Racing. I will admit, it was tough to get in and out of the truck — you have to go Dukes of Hazard style! Then they help strap you in and get your helmet on. The helmet gets attached to oxygen, which I was told is supposed to enlighten your experience (?).
I can not explain what a blast this was! We raced around the track at full speed, fish tailing and hitting the hills running — flying about 40 feet into the air. It was so exhilirating, but at no time scary. The adrenaline was really pumping by the end of my 5 laps.
The guys who run VORE are also super friendly and professional and you can tell that they are very passionate about the company. The course is located on the property with the Pro Gun Club in Boulder City (on the mountain). If you follow the directions on their website, it is super easy to find. Apparently a lot of people get lost when following GPS and end up near the Lake.
The only reason they are not getting 5 stars is because of the general cost of the experiences. They have packages ranging from $ 795-​$ 1495 per person. And you have to pay $ 50 extra if you want a driver (normally the guest drives themselves). This is pretty pricey, IMO.
