I bought a big chill studio size refrigerator in 2013 and just loved it! Then in 2014 I had some contractors do some work on my condo and they damaged the refrigerator. They ultimately ordered a new one for me and had it delivered to my house. The second studio size refrigerator is not working properly. It does not have a good seal on the refrigerator or freezer door. So I called Big Chill and spoke with Brain and initially he was very rude. I was trying to explain my situation but was not quite sure what was wrong with the appliance because I was having some difficulty using refrigeration language. His response to me was «do you want to get your thoughts together and call me back» in an extremely rude tone. Next step was they had a an appliance repair guy come out to look at my refrigerator and the guy took notes and sent them into big chill. Big chill never responded so I called back and they sent the appliance repair guy back out. They said that none of this damage could have come from their factory and that refrigerator damaged must have happened in route. Also during the process of the appliance repair company coming out, they decided not to work with big chill any longer because they were so difficult to deal with. So now I basically have a 3,000 dollar refrigerator that does not seal correctly The first line customer service does not let you speak with a manager or any one else they just keep you on the line until you get very upset. I was told today at noon that I would hear back from the customer service manager in about an hour at 5pm I still had not heard anything. So don’t buy anything from them unless you want a big run around when you try to use your warranty. I would give them less than one star if it was an option. cute product horrible service.
