I’ve bought two tvs at this location in the past 2 months. 1^st was fine — a woman employee got a cart and helped me load the tv after purchase. 2^nd time some man employee said «carts are up front» when I asked for one and the suggested the 50 inch tv and holes in the box to carry it — didn’t help me at all… When I got to the front some other guy just stood there and watched as I struggled to get it out the door and into my car. The woman was great, but what I really remember is these lazy fools not helping me. I’d suppose this is a result of poor management. I really hate to see bad service at Best Buy bc I’ve always liked the business.

This is going to be a short review.
Did an appointment to install some sound stuff in my car almost «a month ago».
Today was my day finally!
Installation guy didn’t show up and my appointment was moved to their «next available»!! In two more weeks! Seriously?!?
The supervisor’s that «handle» this situation name was Zack. Best answerd he got was that his employee has the right to call in sick…
Best buy REALLY need to work a lot harder on their customer service skills and management.

Best Buy has been one of my go to stores over the years including when I bought my Samsung Smart tv 4 years ago. Yesterday my remote was not working, so I went there to replace it. Trip 1, a very nice sales rep sold me a universal remote that I took home, and it worked, but not for all the functions. I went back and spoke to a very uninterested man who is in charge of the tv department. He said we don’t sell replacement remotes, but you could go on Amazon. I tried to remember the last time I was on Amazon and they told me to get in my car and drive to Best Buy… Hmmm, that would be never. So I said thank-​you and went home and sold all my Best Buy stock and bought Amazon stock. Good bye, Best Buy!

I just had the worst customer experience ever with the auto tech at Best Buy in Boulder, Colorado. We dropped our car off last week for a previously scheduled appointment to look at the car radio. They did not even look at the car. We reschedule for this Friday after talking to the manager of the store. The tech insulted my wife tonight, ignored the appointment saying he refused to work late. Next he refused to look at the car and was purposefully ignoring our request to talk to the manager. We provided our order number with the car installation on it and he look it up incorrectly and rudely told my wife to come with the receipt next time and his time wouldn’t be wasted. I tried to talk to him on the phone because my wife was really frazzled and he rudely interrupted me each time I tried to answer his question. I just hung up from trying to contact the store manager after being on the phone for 20 minutes.

Lamar at Best Buy is an amazing sales person chock full of information, whether one is shopping MacBooks, routers, modems. You name it. He makes this location 5 star. And his follow through on available products is 150%! Best Buy should promote him.

This review is strictly for the phone department. I can’t say anything about the rest of the store’s services.
Today I spent over two hours in the store and still did not receive all the assistance I needed. I walked in and only spent about five minutes picking out my new phone and then proceeded to wait for someone to help me activate it. Two parties were already being helped so I waited patiently for about thirty minutes (not unusual at any busy Best Buy).
One couple seemed very unpleased with the services as well and the employees seemed to be pushing blame onto the phone company. This couple had iPhones and Sprint plans and there phones that they bought at that store hadn’t been working for days now. Also, this couple was at the store before I arrived and they were still there after I left (a huge red flag).
When I was finally helped the man who was assisting me didn’t know exactly what he was doing at times (also not unusual for most Best Buy locations). He was nice but by the time he finally set up my phone he simply handed it to me and asked me to turn it on and said he was going to help the other couple for a while. This is unusual because they typically activate the phone for you and make sure everything is running smoothly first. I sat there trying to figure out what to do on my phone for about another fifteen minutes with no luck. The original man never checked on me and another employee came over and asked me to move so he could help someone else. I stood up and stayed close by, not wanting to leave until my phone was ready for sure.
In short from here, I spent the next hour going back and forth between the phone section and regular customer service all the while getting little to no help from anyone. While I was waiting back by the phones the original employee who «helped» me asked if everything was alright and I told him it wasn’t. He continued helping the couple and when they finally left (also annoyed) he helped another man and ignored me. I waited and waited and waited and no one ever helped me again. I finally couldn’t wait there anymore so I had to leave the store with all kinds of questions and still none of my contacts synced.
This is not my first poor experience at this store but it will certainly be my last experience with them, period. I would not recommend this Best Buy to anyone. It’s small and the options are very limited and no one is very helpful at all. It’s worth driving out of Boulder to another store location.
I sincerely hope you take my advice seriously. They should shut down this store. It’s totally useless.

I’ve had extremely mixed experiences at this Best Buy, which I suppose I expect at big box retail stores.
Earlier this month my wife and I went in to look at projectors and sound bars and we were really pleasantly surprised by an employee named Gina who completely knew her stuff and didn’t push the sale. For that reason, we bought some audio equipment from Best Buy. It was refreshing to deal with a super competent, friendly, and genuinely personable staff, which Gina certainly was.
We purchased most of the items we wanted, but there was speaker that wasn’t in stock, so we ordered it. We were told that it would be in mid week and we would get a call.
Surprise, surprise, no call.
A week later I phoned to find out what was going on and it took 45 minutes to get someone on the phone. Her name was Isabelle and she said she would look into where the order was. 45 minutes later — so a total of an hour and a half — no Isabelle. I had called midway through the hold with my cell phone as well and after 30 minutes someone picked up and I was connected back to Isabelle. Stunningly, she couldn’t understand why it might have been good to maybe say «Hi, still looking, can I call you back?» or something to that effect.
So I spoke with the manager, Patrick, who’s first response was that I shouldn’t have bothered to wait on hold. Great advice and just the type of customer care I love to see.
So some of our experience has been great, but much of it is not so good to really really poor.
Again, it’s what we’ve come to expect.

I’ve been a Best Buy shopper for many years and shop here pretty often. You can usually catch a good deal if you watch for sales and if you move (I.e. change your address) you get an awesome 10% coupon in the mail that applies to everything in the store (it even worked on an iPad I bought last summer).
This summer we came in to purchase a car stereo and install after shopping around. We came in a found a good piece that was on sale but they weren’t able to install same day so we had to come back. When we purchased the equipment we specially asked the sales associate if we had everything we needed and they confirmed. Unfortunately, when we came back for install we had a surprise additional $ 70 costs for some pretty vital pieces.
When we asked why this wasn’t shared before we made the purchase (as these costs would have clearly affected our decision to buy here) we were told that the sales floor has no idea of what the workshop can do and is needed for an install, and that this happens often. You can imagine we were not thrilled with this «tough luck» answer having done our due diligence to assess the true costs. Fortunately, we were able to come to an agreement with the workshop and the manager to only pay $ 20 of the unforeseen costs.
I have no complaints with the work done on the vehicle. Now with all its vital parts it works well and my husband loves his Bluetooth ability to stream music and make calls from his car. I do think there is a cross training issue but it could have been a fluke, and, of course, is specific to this location.

A pretty horrible experience from beginning to end (and we’e not quit there yet). Ordered a camera online, returned it to the store for a new version. Was suppose to pick it up today but after the 3^rd call found out the order had never been placed, EVEN THOUGH I HAVE A RECEIPT. So I paid for the item and only after the 3^rd call where I insisted on finding out what was going on did I find out it was never ordered– even though as the manager said that can’t happen… But wait, it did happen. After spending 30 minutes (3^rd call) with an associate where I never once got an apology –he actually tried to shirk it on to someone else, even though he was the person who handled the sale originally!
The manager listened BUT really didn’t acknowledge what had happened, just pushed ahead about trying to get the 1k camera in – which I appreciate but I think some disaster management would have helped out. Sorry for the experience, the EGREGIOUS errorS, the hassle, the time and effort it has taken, ETC. A dose of acknowledgement would have gone a long way.

I placed an order on-​line and called to confirm the order. The salesperson went above and beyond to track down my order and even called me back to confirm the order. My daughter will be so excited when she gets her birthday present tonight! Thanks.

If you are looking to buy a computer and need some help deciding, ask for Dennis. He is VERY knowledgeable. He went above and beyond my expectations today.

I waited for an associate to help me out for about 20 minutes. The store was in no way busy or crowded, I just figured I’d wait there looking at things before I was assisted. Right before I was about to walk out the door I was approached by someone. I ended up trading a game in, but they almost lost my business. The guy who assisted me at customer service was friendly and really cool actually, that’s the only reason they get 3 stars.

I don’t shop here often but occasionally I need some item that a competitor in this category does not carry at all or perhaps is just not in stock locally. Best Buy has a somewhat different part of the market, a bit more tech oriented rather than general office supplies and accessories though in this category there is much overlap from store to store. And of course they do have a significant entertainment department.
Sometimes it is difficult to find the item or help on the floor as is common with the pared down version of all of these stores but in my last visit I did run into an extremely helpful sales person. He knew his stock and where to find more of the item as the only one I found appeared to have been out of the box already, whether returned or just mangled on the floor was unclear. I wanted fresh factory stock. As it turns out this item is displayed in two different departments, so ask staff. I bought the item I needed and it seems to work fine.

This review pertains to the Geek Squad on January 31^st — particularly Jon and Adam; I won’t use their last names for their own privacy. My wife and I recently contracted with Best Buy to place 2 TV’s on the wall. Initially, this seemed like a pretty straight forward installation, but, it has been fraught with starts and stops as I think the previous installer — although a very professional person — did not seem to be able to do the installation to our liking in the living room for whatever reason. That said, we had Jon and Adam in to install the bedroom TV and they also completed the installation in the living room. Talk about 2 of the nicest, professional, caring, and competent people! These guys made us forget that this thing has dragged on for a few weeks.
That said, I would not hesitate to give The Geek Squad my highest reference; especially if you can get these 2 guys.

I had to buy a new tv. While my expectations were pretty low for Best Buy, the sales staff, management and corporate management (in Richfield, MN) took it to a whole new level of low. First off, no knowledge of different tv brands, their sizes, advantages/​disadvantages, etc from adolescent sales staff. Management misinformed me of delivery date — I had to take off work, wait for four hours, and was told delivery was the following day. Management seemed disinterested and unapologetic. Called Corporate offices, demanded monetary compensation, was told they don’t do this, but instead would send gifts «to show their gratitude,» which, of course, I cared nothing about. All in all, a terrible experience, and waste of $ 700. DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANY REASON, unless you want to give yourself an anxiety attack.

My wife and I went in today to look at new smartphones for purchase. A pair of phones of the model we were interested in were not set up correctly for demo (one at 0% battery and one stuck in a firmware update). We attempted to get help from the woman at the cell phone service counter who said there wasn’t anything she could do. We then tried to get a pack of 6 associates and 1 security guard to help us, but they were too busy goofing off to raise a finger to help us. We gave up, walked out, and went to another store. For a company that is struggling to compete with online sales you’d think that they’d have their staff focus on customer service.

Awful, awful, awful. They promised us delivery yesterday between 12:00 and 2:00. We waited past 3:00, then they finally called to say their truck broke down. After hassling us about the rescheduled delivery, they said they would make it today between 10:00 and 12:00, and call my cell phone 30 minutes before arrival. At 11:45 they called the house to say they were running about 40 minutes late. We waited longer. At 12:40 they called yet again to say delivery would be at 1:20.
So, a total of over six hours we waited for the delivery over two days. Even when we provided a cell phone number for them to call to give us updates, they continued to call the house number.
Completely useless. With the way they don’t show up when promised, these guys should go work doing installations for Comcast.

I’ve been into this Best Buy a few times to purchase apple accessories. recently, i purchased an apple router and found they had a big selection of wireless routers. The location of this Best Buy is a bit odd and the store is much smaller than most that I’ve been to but the staff is friendly and I’ve always found what I was looking for here.

I bought a computer, and it worked. Working right now, so, i guess they did a good job? But I didn’t really talk to anyone, the lines were short.
Return policy is a joke. Figure if you buy something, you wont be bringing it back. Pretty much the same everywhere I guess, as far as computers. Amazons policy might be better? I buy from New Egg when I can, but I was in a bind and got this machine.

Warning! Best Buy (Corporate) has changed its return policy and now you only have 15 days to return something that you bought!
Their signage is posted on their registers around the location of your naval and unless you are a «little Person», you won’t notice it. The manager listened to my complaint politely and then coldly said, «this this is our policy, sorry». I got a gift card for the amount and luckily sold it to my neighbor. But I won’t set foot in their store again.
Let’s stop giving these big box stores our business and shop else where!
