Dr. Cross is skilled and very caring. But the front desk staff seem to have an unfriendly chip on their shoulder every time I’ve visited, and the progressive glasses their optical staff made me were unusable and had to be remade. Then within three months, the coating began to fall off. Big waste of time and money. They also have the annoying policy of automatically putting your glasses benefit on their account, so if you want to take your prescription to another provider make them, you have to first undo their hold on your insurance company. I’m now seeking another provider.

–I gave them a three week lead time to order new contacts through my health insurance plan. –It took over a week just to get in touch with them and send them a copy of my prescription. –Then it was a game of phone tag to confirm that they could actually use my annual allowance for contact lenses. –They were extremely vague about when my lenses would arrive, despite repeatedly informing them that I needed them by 12÷18÷15 at the latest because i’m going out of the country on vacation. When the lenses finally arrived, I called to verify that they had them and then drove up during my lunch break. They asked for my last name and simply handed me the boxes – WITHOUTVERIFYINGMYIDENTITYATALL. I got home, put in the contacts, and immediately had a headache and blurry vision. It turns out my prescription is for a cylinder of –1.75, and the box they gave me had -.75!!! So no wonder it didnt fit. I called and asked what they could do for me, as I needed the contacts by friday at the latest. They claimed they couldn’t guarantee next day air, and initially refused to pay for it – until I demanded that it was their mistake. They also said they couldn’t refund my money, and that the best they could do was give me the next box for free. I went into their office to pick up a spare lens, after having to next day air a box of contacts from ezcontactsusa and wasting $ 90 on the order that I shouldn’t have had to spend, and the front desk rep had the nerve to blame the whole situation on me by stating: «We didn’t get time to check-in the order before you picked it up. so that’s why you got the wrong box». 1) that doesn’t make any sense, b/c if it was simply an order mix up, then they would’ve still had the correct box of contacts, which they didn’t, and 2) I called an hour before I drove up to their office, giving them plenty of time to «check-in» their order, which had already arrived an hour before I drove to their office. NEVER give any business to these morons. They refuse to OWNTHEIRMISTAKES, and cannot be relied upon, do not communicate with courtesy and are extremely rude and ill-informed.

Great doctor and staff. Went through all the procedures and frame selection. Was happy with my visit. :)
