My family has been going to Gunbarrel Optometry for over 17 years. The previous owners were like family to us. Recently they sold the business which I was said to see happen. Surprisingly the new owners are just as nice and have continued to treat us like family. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. The interior has been updated which now has a much more modern look to it. I would highly recommend them! Our family will continue coming here for as long as we live here.

Gunbarrel Optometry is a nice space with a great staff. Dr. Wren has a wealth of experience and is extremely knowledgable. He really does care about his patience. He explained the prescription eye drop treatment I needed in a clear and understandable way that made it easy. Do not hesitate to make an appointment if you’re looking for an all around great experience.

I just moved from out of state and bought a house in Gun Barrel. I was in need of a new pair of eye frames and I wanted to shop local so I visited nearby Gunbarrel Optometry. I arrived with a print-out of the frames I wanted with a current eye prescription from my former optometrist. First the receptionist said she couldn’t order the frames because she had never heard of the manufacturer, Shuron, in business since 1865. Then she said she didn’t know how to order from Shuron, so I showed her the web address on my print-out. Then I was told they were not taking any new business. The office was empty and the optometrist was standing idly by the receptionist for most of the exchange. It was a confusing and creepy experience. Was I economically undesirable because I wear Carhartt on days I don’t have meetings? I own my business and paid cash for my house. There is something inherently dishonest about this shop. I would avoid it at all costs.
