Moving from the East coast to Boulder has helped me put into perspective what is important for my health and well being. I am so thankful to have found Dr. Danowski within months of moving to Boulder(I had been receiving acupuncture prior to my move out from Boston). I found Dr. Danowski via a Groupon promotion around the same time that I was failing out of physical therapy for an injury. Although my road to recovery was slow I was so happy to work with a practitioner who cared enough to teach me how my diet and well-being affected my ability to heal and stave off harmful inflammation(which was amazing considering I was sick of taking so many medications that didn’t seem to be working). Even after my symptoms had subsided I have continued to meet with Dr. Danowski nearly every month and have even participated in a couple of detox cleanses under her supervision. I myself had never imagined myself to do a cleanse prior to this however I feel very safe under her care and really appreciate that she is happy to answer any and all questions I have for her both at my appointments and via email in-between appointments. Through these cleanses I have gained skills in preparing, and enjoying foods that I make myself as well as to identify items in my diet that my body has a sensitivity to. I do want to note that Dr. Danowski is much more than an acupuncturist. She is also an herbalist and naturopathic physician(which in the state of Colorado is considered a legal health care provider — sadly my current insurance does not allow for her to be my primary care physican). Within one year I safely came off of all my medications under her care(acne, inflammation, etc.). I don’t even carry/take Tylenol anymore. It has truly been a life changing experience for me. I have referred many friends to her care and some continue to see her if only for continuation of their overall well being. If you are interested in seeking alternate therapy or treatments, or would like to explore what acupuncture could do for you I highly recommend Dr. Danowski.
