Floor Crafters Hardwood Floor Company

I’m updating my previous 1 star to 3 stars. Although Shawn was unpleasant at best and unwilling to accept responsibility for the situation with our flooring, he eventually came around when my husband spoke with him. He sent Stephan to redo the entire job by himself for all of Memorial Day weekend (he’s a veteran… not appropriate for Shawn to have done in my opinion). Let me just say, the floors look fantastic now. He folded back the carpets, removed the toilet and pedestal sink (which wasn’t done with the first refinishing), pulled out all of the damaged trim and replaced with new trim, Stephan is the only saving grace for this company under this new ownership. Today is the last day of the job so once everything’s finished, I will upload updated photos.

We just used Floor Crafters to refinish our main floor, and they also installed a little bit of new flooring. On the positive side, the install went really smoothly and they accomodated our schedule. Then, it was time for the refinishing. Ugggg! After the refinishing was complete, we had what the industry calls «boogers» all over our floors. They agreed that the work was not to their standard so they would fix the issues. Welll… it is better, but not to the quality that is expected when you pay thousands of dollars. My recommendation would be to use Wood Wise intead. I certainly wish we had.

We could not have been happier with the service and quality provided by FloorCrafters. They put in 1,250 square feet of new floors for us to match 90– year old existing hardwood and did a beautiful job. The material was 1 ½ inch white oak, and no other company in town could even find it to give us a bid. (Two other companies bid the job using other materials.) They made a beautiful removable hatch in a hall closet (space we needed to access). They also refinished several old floors for us. Again, excellent. Our dining room needed patching, and all the other companies wanted to rip out the existing wood; Floorcrafters meticulously laced in the new to join with the old. Their estimate was accurate, they always came when they said they would and were very flexible when we needed to change the schedule more than once. (We needed more time for optimally dry conditions in a basement location; instead of moving forward, they did the right thing and waited until the subfloor was dry enough. Otherwise, warping of the new floor could have occurred.) They also answered all of our questions and each worker was friendly, polite, skilled and accommodating. We would absolutely use them again and recommend them to our friends.

We just had our 10 year old floors refinished by Floor Crafters and we are thoroughly impressed with their work. Tom, the estimator, was very knowledgeable, professional and clean. And this is important as I did not have the same experience with some other floor companies. We had 3 wooden vents installed to match our floor and the installer was quick and efficient. This allowed for the floor crew to come in later that day. Jacob & Mark did a thorough job and stayed late in the day to get the job done. Overall, we are very impressed with the work and the experience. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone in need of refinishing services.
