I just love this business! I have been going to three of their stores for years now(I go to whichever is most convenient for me at the time) and I am so impressed by the following in particular: 1. the consistency and perfectionism of their work 2. the professionalism and courtesy of their employees(where DO they find such great people?!) and last but not least 3. their devotion to making YOU a satisfied customer. Worth every penny, every time! And if you want, you can always use the 25% off coupon from the local newspaper Green Light booklets. Won’t ever change dry cleaners!

I took two silk kimono jackets and two silk tops to John’s Cleaners, in Lafayette, to have cleaned and pressed. They were outfits for my sons wedding and rehearsal dinner. When I picked up my clothes I did not look at them until I got home and was shocked at what I saw. They used large, 1−½″ safety pins into the silk, on the outside. I had torn threads and holes from the safety pins. The one kimono jacket had creases down the front which will not come completely out without wetting it, which would spot it. One of the tops had the lining stretched down below the front, and a large crease in the center back. I had to take it home and repress it, but I am going to have to take the bottom apart to re-hem because of what they did. I returned the next day to have two of the pieces re-pressed, and complained about the job and the use of the safety pins. I have NEVER seen those size safety pins used, and they should never be used in fine silk! When I returned to pick up my pieces, I asked again about the use of the safety pins, and the girl working the front said she asked John and he said that those are what they use, however, in the future he would allow the pins to be put on the inside on my clothes. Since you cannot give less than one star, I will give that to the girl at the front because she was very nice, but I will not return!

I travel constantly for business, so I’ve used a lot of dry cleaners in many cities, and I’ve never found one that cleans and presses my clothes as perfectly as Johns Cleaners. Their quality is top-notch, and the owner, John, really goes out of his way to take care of customers. Plus, there are no pen-and-paper receipts… they have a fancy computer system that links all their stores and tracks every item of clothing through the process, basically eliminating lost items. They have four stores in Boulder County so there’s always one close by. Note that their 30th Street location has closed, but they have another one two minutes away. You can see their other locations at their website,
