I’ve been three times now, and each time was pretty bad. The food just kills me. The soups are super sweet — it almost tastes like they put corn syrup in them. Last time I went I got the cashew beef, and I think the beef was actually spoiled. It had a very pungent taste that conjured up a nauseating feeling. As if that weren’t enough, the sauce was also really quite bad(though we determined it may have been spoiled by the spoiled beef that was cooked in it). Either way, each time I left feeling the same way, and now I can say, without pause, that I will not be returning. Ever.

A year ago I went here to eat and the portions were decent size and it tasted pretty good. I just went there a few days ago and the size of the to-go container for fried rice is half of what it use to be. It’s was so small but still charging almost $ 15 for a fried rice. Tasted nothing like it used to be. Also every time I go there I see a different kid cooking. The owner doesn’t want to hire a consistent chef who knows how to cook instead she hires college kids who probably gets paid minimum wage and these kids knows next to nothing about cooking. No wonder the food had no taste at all. Wont be going here again.

Khow Thai is a cute little restaurant right off of Broadway that offers a wide selection of Thai food. I’m pretty picky about Thai and I’ve been spoiled by amazing restaurants like Thai Ave and Busaba. While Khow Thai did offer a pretty flavorful pad thai, I was a little disappointed in my meal. I’ve ordered pad thai at just about every Thai restaurant I go to and theirs was simply average and rated similarly to other average restaurants that I’ve tried. Service was very friendly and we had a great waitress! Hoping to try something different on the menu next time.

Visiting Boulder, Colorado from Chicago area. I’ve had Thai food from only a few different places, and this one tasted on par. I got a decent portion, but the price was a little steeper than I expected, at least in comparison to what I’ve had in the past. Overall, I’d get the Pad See Yew again.

Khow Thai is one of my favorite Thai restaurants in Boulder. Good service, big menu, and great food. I love the pad woon sen and the pad see-you. I have gotten both delivery(through Hungry Buffs) and dined in. My only complaint was that the food was brought out plate by plate as it was prepared rather than all at once.

I went to this place for dinner, because a friend of mine recommended it to me as the«best thai coconut soup he ever had». I have to disagree. I went to this place, and ordered the coconut soup, the red curry beaf and the pad thai. All dishes were average, not bad not good. The soup was more sour than expected, however probably was the best of all the dishes I had there. They put lemongrass in the soup. I was not able to bite the pieces of lemongrass, and this was a bit of annoying. The curry beaf, was like a red spicy water, not thick at all. The pad thai was not very tasty. I have to admit that serving a complimentary soup in the beginning is something that I liked it a lot. Additionally, the service was very good, and the people polite and fast. The environment casual. The prices were very low compared to the portions.

By far the worst Thai food we’ve ever had, anywhere in the world(and we’ve eaten it all over, including Thailand). We got takeout here for a change because it has won«Best of Boulder» on many occasions. Firstly, all food was pretty cold by the time if arrived — that which did even arrive(one dish was missing). The Pad Thai was white and flavorless. We also ordered beef massaman curry and duck red curry. These should be completely different, but both had exactly the same sauce — a pale and watery coconut milk with barely any spice or flavor. The beef was obviously not cooked in the sauce — it was dry and tasteless. The duck was just soggy congealed skin, and equally without flavor. They even messed up the brown rice which was stodgy. How this can win Best of Boulder, I have no idea. We’ve lived here 10 years and have eaten in every Thai restaurant. This should win the Worst of Boulder, hands down…

Really enjoyed the chicken pineapple rice, red curry and shrimp pad Thai. Restaurant is very casual, cheap ethnic food & good prices. I’d go back!

Cheap thai food at it’s best! The massaman curry had the right taste, but was watery and the beef was all gristle. The pad thai was passable with dry chicken. The tom yum soup was blah, full of stale mushrooms and two peices of tomato, it lacked taste and punch. The free appy soup is a nice touch, but what is that? Thickened soap water with sweet sauce and yesterday’s tofu. Sorry guys, blah! The star is for the servers, they were awesome.

Maybe I ordered the wrong thing? This place was packed for lunch and they have a ton of awards on the walls, but it was such a disappointment! I ordered the chicken pad see ew and it was terrible. It tasted like someone just mixed soy sauce and maple syrup and mixed in noodles, soggy freezer-burned broccoli, and weirdly-textured chicken. I don’t understand why this place is packed and how they keep getting awards. This is the worst Thai food I’ve ever had.

Taste: 4 Service: 3 Distinctness: 4.5 I was about to give this place three stars, but the unique taste that they served made me reconsider. The whole dining experience here is pretty unique in relation to other thai places. They start you off with a cup of soup and a couple of eggrolls. They are complimentary, so don’t feel obligated to get appetizers. This little bit of food was enough to hold off my appetite until the main course. I had the fried rice with sriracha sauce. Although quite a small dish, I have no regrets. It was a delicious and unique taste. There was just a slight kick, so it’s not too spicy. Also, it felt pretty light, and didn’t make my stomach upset like some other greasy fried rices do. Lastly, don’t expect excellent service. They do what they have to and that’s all. They are also heavily focused on efficiency, so don’t be surprised if they force you to move tables so that they can fit in a bigger party. **my recommendation is to go during lunch, since the food is a bit expensive for the smaller sized servings.

I have been coming here for years and the food was always good. Recently they have raised prices and skimped on their portions. Well the meal still tasted good and the service was alright, the value proposition is no longer that good.

Wow! The Thai food here was the best we have had since our travels in Thailand. Our dinners were The Vegetarian Red Curry and Masaman Curry. The flavors were explosive and the serving portions were very generous. Bonus: Thai spring rolls and Tom Yam soup were complimentary with the dinner.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. We went for dinner for Mother’s Day, I’ve never even seen it before(kind of joke on the wall, not fancy from the outside). Our waitress was awesome, so fun and inviting! Our meals were delicious. Also, I am a spicy food lover! Whenever I go to Thai places they say it will be spicy and it never is. But my boyfriend and I split one American hot which was hot but not too hot, still full flavor. And then we got Thai hot and it was SPICY and so good! Woah! This is very spicy. We loved it! The pad Thai with chicken was my favorite. Also we got drunken noodles, the flavor of the sauce was fantastic! We will be back!

I’ve been going here since they opened in 2002. It is not close to where I work, but I have been willing to make the trek to enjoy great Thai food for lunch regularly at a friendly family-run family restaurant. Unfortunately, things have changed. Since they introduced the lunch buffet in January, it’s not the same. Went this week and was very disappointed. Different soup(not good). New recipe for green curry(bland). Service was chaotic and basically terrible. Food arrived out of order. I was served a meal that was for another table. After awhile, it was taken away and my real meal appeared. It was at least 5 minutes for the meal for the person I was dining with arrived. A person at another table had ordered from the menu and never received his meal. At the end of my meal this week, I concluded that I will give them one more chance and if it hasn’t improved, then they will be scratched from my list of «go to» places. I really hope that they turn it around.

This place is a great example of how students hype up the reviews because they like cheap food that is close by. This food is, indeed the dictionary definition of cheap: 1 purchasable below the going price or the real value 2 gained or done with little effort 3 of inferior quality or worth Worst Pad Thai I’ve ever had!

Great prices, great food, efficiency at its best. Had the pad Thai, delicious! And spring rolls with a free soup for starter. My wife had the pad wonn sen, with green tea for a beverage. The total price was 37 dollars. We splurged!

3 stars seems low for this charming place right on Broadway. Their red and coconut curries are delicious on a cold winter day and the staff here is extra attentive. It’s usually fairly noisy here for dinner and it’s a good place for the kids. I really like that they add bamboo shoots to a lot of their dishes and their ingredients are above average.

I’m not sure how this restaurant got rated best Thai so often. The pad thai was pretty run-of-the-mill and adding vegetables made it a confusing dish. Basically, the veggies(bitter cabbage, broccoli, chunks of carrots and cucumbers) did not compliment the traditional pad thai dish at all. The majority of the ingredients are typically smooth like bean sprouts and thinly sliced carrots and cucumbers. I took out all the cabbage. :\. My friend’s dish was also pretty disappointing and plain. Just fried rice minus the egg. A handful of shrimp randomly in the dish and pieces of chunky sliced cucumbers. Meh. Sorry Boulder, you don’t know what good Thai food is.
