The food was good, clean. Our delivery order was messed up and it took over an hour to get it delivered. The delivery driver was super nice even as we were frustrated with the situation. Will try again but maybe opt for pick up vs delivery.

This was a unique little place hidden inside an apartment complex. As I made my original order of a Ruben sandwich, the cashier/order taker informed me that they were out of corned beef. she then politely suggested that I try the pastrami. I did and it was surprisingly good, but a bit on the hot and spicy side. One thing to note is if you are going there for lunch be prepared to circle the block a few times as there is very limited parking spaces shared by other restaurants and the apartment residents.

Best latte I have had in years! I ordered a soy latte, and it was on par with some of the best lattes I’ve had in Europe. Great vibe too.

Was looking for something new for my late lunch today and this place popped up. One of the best I have been to. Reasonable price and good service.

Great food! A hidden gem! I really enjoyed the spicy turkey sandwich. I’m looking forward to tying the pastrami next time.

My favorite lunch spot in Boulder. The food here is top notch. Absolutely love the Banh Mi. I suggest getting half pork and half portabellos. An amazing combination. The soups are always fresh and delicious. My only complaint is that they put those amazing chocolate chip cookies next to the register and I can’t resist grabbing one. Trent

Good sandwich, dirty bathroom. I guess I always have a pet peeve with restaurants when their bathrooms are dirty. Kind of gives the impression that if this is how much they care about cleanliness, it’s probably the same level of care that’s going into handwashing, and food prep. Just saying Update: got a stomach ache from the sandwich

I am not a vegetarian but I absolutely love their avocado sandwich. I often eat here as I work nearby. The staff has always been extremely friendly and prompt. I enjoy the fresh ingredients as well. Definitely recommend for lunch.

The space itself is quiet, well-maintained, and enjoyable to eat lunch. It’s tucked away in an apartment complex so you sort of have to be meaning to go there to find it. Service was quick and friendly. They play good music and offer soda without High fructose corn syrup. The food is tasty, but I’ll mirror what a few others have said: for the price, you don’t get a lot of protein/meat/etc. I ordered the Brie and apple sandwich, and added turkey. I was glad I did otherwise I would have been hungry after lunch. The bread is delicious, and I’ve had a couple of their other sandwiches before and was just hoping that perhaps the lack of fixings was a one-off. The turkey/Brie/apple sandwich could use some spread(like a fig one?) to balance the flour-coated ciabatta. I’d skip the tortilla soup next time. The tortilla was chewy but otherwise it had good flavor.

Went there for the first time today, nice people and good service. I had the corned beef Reuben and my wife had the Bahn Mi with portabello in place of the pork. The Reuben was good, had a house made slaw in place of the sauerkraut. I was okay with it, and it was very good slaw. And the wife liked the Bahn Mi, too. Brought home a chocolate covered cookie dough ball for our son, he definitely enjoyed it. I will be back soon to try a couple other items on the men. Italian sandwich, a Reuben with pastrami, And they do breakfast, too.

The food is pretty good, there are a lot of vegan options here. They actually serve meat too. They are located in an apartment complex, which is pretty cool for the residents. I like the atmosphere. We sat and ate on the curb, just because we wanted to. We had the hummus sandwich, which was great. Also had their soup, it tasted like a vegan raw soup which was a bonus. Pastries were good.

I picked up Naked Lunch yesterday for my mother and I. I had the Reuben with corned beef and she had the Italian salad. The Reuben was a good size and filled me up by itself. I liked the addition of coleslaw and 1000 island on the sandwich versus your usual sauerkraut– this brought me back to the days of working at a BBQ restaurant in Illinois(we put slaw and 1000 island on our Reubens). It was tasty, tasty, tasty! My other enjoyed her salad as well. I got a chocolate chip cookie which was delicious. Only thing that could be improved upon would be pricing. It was about $ 20 for just the sandwich and salad. Service was quick. I called the order in and it was ready in 10 minutes.

This restaurant is in my friends complex so it was very easy to get to. The décor is very cute, and I enjoyed my Italian salad. They had smoothies pre-made and they had one I couldn’t resist. It was their pink smoothie with strawberry, banana and several other ingredients. It was kind of pricey for a small smoothie. Either 5 or 6 dollars I can’t remember. That would be ok if it was an amazing drink but it was absolutely tasteless. I’m not sure how many days that smoothie was sitting there, but I will never buy a pre-made smoothie again. I feel like that also defeats the purpose of having a fresh smoothie. Anyways the place was empty at 7, but I am thinking maybe a lot of people pick up their food. They also brought us out a cookie hot from the oven which was a nice touch. In general I think this place is good if you just want a quick bite and you don’t want to go too far, but I wouldn’t exactly go out of my way to come back. Overall a pleasant experience though!

Now we are up to 4.5 stars and I am rounding up. Today I ordered a scrambled tofu sandwich and it was delightful… loaded with veggies and quite flavorful with just the right spices. Tofu is not easy to prepare in a flavorful and palatable way… I was impressed. I also enjoyed the coffee. What’s really cool is that the name of this restaurant is indeed an homage to William Burroughs who wrote«Naked Lunch«. I love that! Hidden away in the peloton condo complex, this place is very much worth finding. Great salads and plenty of meal choices for meat eaters or vegetarians.

Nice place for lunch and I would love to go back for breakfast. I had the banh mi and it was delicious. I was curious to see if it would have anything in common with the ones you can have in Vietnamese restaurants. The one I had at Naked lunch is definitively Americanized(ciabatta instead if the traditional baguette) but still delicious and a nice twist on its Vietnamese cousin. The bread was warm, crunchy and light, there was just the right amount of pickled veggies nicely balanced with the pork and sriracha mayo. My only complaint is that $ 10 for a sandwich with no sides is too expensive.

It’s usually worthwhile to give a place a second chance, especially if it is new. My first visit, last winter, was underwhelming, but the sample size I got to see of the menu was small and they were still perfecting their offerings, I am guessing. Today, the place was very busy and I was with a fun group of 7 that took over their largest table and I can now see how it has earned its good reputation. Even the item I had last time appears to have been upgraded a bit and got positive comments from the person who ordered it. And a friend of mine who eats here regularly had recommended something for me to try that I rarely try in «unknown territory» but I did and it was quite good. Everyone at the table had a beautiful looking choice and seemed to enjoy their meal. I had the pastrami sandwich. The meat was good, clearly home cooked and not that ubiquitous sliced prepackaged«deli» meat. It had the right balance of fat and pepper. Yes, pastrami has fat, that’s the point of the traditional flavor, so expect it. The meat is served on toasted rye and has a slice of swiss cheese, some pickled red cabbage and spicy mustard. The balance of flavors was almost perfect. A little more cheese would have been nice. They have bottled drinks available and I was thrilled to see my favorite to go with a sandwich of any sort, sparkling Pellegrino. No calories, no separate flavor but lots of thirst quenching zippy fizz. They were sampling some pieces of their gluten free cooke and it was tasty and crunchy, a coconut-y ginger-y flavor. The salads looked so good, I will be back to try one of those too. This café is a little off the beaten path but really not hard to find. Just remember there is a small street right through the center of the Peleton complex, accessible from side streets off of Arapahoe at both the east and west ends of the buildings, with parking along the sides right near this café and another restaurant. It’s very simple inside, order at the counter and staff delivers to the table, with seating choices from tiny tables to a really large one and an outdoor patio for weather that is not too hot or too cold. The prices seemed OK to me, considering pretty much everything is made from scratch, but probably a bit higher than average for quick serve places.

Wow definitely completely underwhelmed with their sandwiches. Mostly bread with a couple slices of meat. The giardiniera was the lowest of brows. Unimpressive flavor and it wasn’t pickled long enough to get the right texture. It was bland and lacked spice. Uninspiring. I ordered the Italian and I was really unimpressed The space is nice and so was the service. It’s modern and open. The location is in an apartment complex which was a big red flag. My suspicions were that this is the kind of easy place to grab food by the residents and local businesses because of how close and easy to get to it is. I don’t think I was wrong I also tried a $ 4(? Not sure on the price) cookie dough bite covered in chocolate. Overall for the $$ I spent this was a sub par experience. Way over priced but hey that’s Boulder, overpriced in most aspects.

Attention, Boulderites!!! Lunch(and Breakfast) Alert! At last, another lunch option for those of us who work in the ‘sticks(otherwise known as East Boulder). Naked Lunch has only been open for a few days, but I suspect it won’t be long before the lines are long and the tables crowded. My husband and I have been anticipating this opening for some time, looking longingly at the covered windows and locked door every time we dined at Basta. Finally… gratification! While I have only tried the Bahn Mi sandwich, I can say without reservation that this is one of the tastiest sandwiches I have had… ever! The ciabatta bread was light and airy without the unfortunate chewiness that is so often associated with ciabatta. The combination of the well-spiced slow cooked pork with the subtly pickled veggies and spicy sriracha mayo made our eyeballs pop and our taste buds sing. Can’t wait to try everything on the menu! I also appreciate that Naked Lunch isn’t just about lunch — they have a nice, compact breakfast menu(a little over $ 4 for a breakfast sandwich? Sold!) and what looks like a full coffee bar. Lots of tasty bakery treats, too. I spied a bag of «Muffin Mishaps» which the owner graciously offered up to us. If this is her idea of a mishap… can’t wait to try her idea of perfection!
