I am not a gluten free guy but the new brewer is doing a great job with all the new beers. The new IPA and pale ale are very tasty. My wife really does not care for beer but she really enjoyed the raspberry ale. If you go you must try the vanilla salt stout it’s excellent!

First of all there is a tasting room and the directions were correct so don’t let that keep you. My friend was visiting and recently was diagnosed with Celiac disease. We came to try it out and I must say I was impressed. No weird after taste and many tasted very closely to beers made with gluten. While my friend was here we also went to a mega liquor store and bought all kinds of bottles of gluten free beer to taste test and I can tell you we found theirs to be most consistently the best. They were very friendly and gave us some popcorn. My friend is feeling much better and not like she has to give up beer which she loves. The pale ale, raspberry ale were our favorites. They also have an IPA that has just a touch of gluten that was really good.

The beer is quite yummy. The service was extremely good. We had a great time trying our beers. the stout was just as I expected, a coffee desert best saved for last. The trip was worth the drive and I recommend anyone to make the drive.

The Unilocal address is actually incorrect and just a business office, but Google maps will get you to their tasting room in Gunbarrel, east of Boulder. It was a great find! We can’t get their gluten free beers in Hawaii, so we were psyched to go to this when visiting family here in Colorado. Their beers, ales and stout have both gluten free and low gluten(for non Celiacs) selections. I had their stout which is low gluten, and it was on a par with Murphy’s or Guinness. My celiac husband had the Belgian Amber ale, which he enjoyed greatly. They have some gluten free food and snacks available, too. It was nice chatting with the owner, Pedro, too.

Best gluten free beer in my opinion! The raspberry ale rocks and I am so glad to live in Colorado where I have ample access and supply of New Planet beer!

Let it be known that New Planet does not have a tasting room or a brewery for the general public to go to. I found this out the hard way and going to the address here on Unilocal to find a shopping center with no indication of New Planet. I called the number which was also posted on Unilocal to find out that their operations is not open to the general public. At first I called the number and then hung up when it sounded like a personal telephone number with the greeting. The person called back whom was the owner of New Planet and explained this to me. I was very grateful for the gentlemans information! Even though you cant go to a New Planet brewery you can get their beer in many liqour stores and if you go to the Fort Collins Brewery they have a contract with New Planet where they distribute their gluten free beer there. Right around the corner for me. I live close to all the breweries here in town. While I found this information in Boulder from the guy I was speaking with I felt happy with what I learned, much unlike my partner who would have been raging and slapping the dashboard of the car. Sometimes he just wants his beer. A couple of weeks later we bought a New Planet beer, the Off Grid Pale Ale to be precise and enjoyed it quite a bit! The ale was very bitter and had brown rice in it which created a unique flavor! For any one that likes micro breweries I would definitely suggest trying New Planet beers. Again the best place to get it is at liquor stores or go to or call Fort Collins Brewery for more info. All of New Planets beer is gluten free which is another bonus!

Let me just say, yum!!! I love all beer and I do not have to drink gluten free beer but I wanted to give this one a try, hell its from here! I had the tread lightly ale, it is really good, not hard to drink at all. Light and smooth! I really enjoied it and I imagine for people that have to be gluten free this is something they are really going to love!

[Review for Tread Lightly Ale, not entire brewery.] Whoa! What a lovely surprise! Let me start by saying I love a variety of good beers. That said, now that I am avoiding gluten, I am a sad sad girl. With a grumble and huge resistance, I picked up a sixer of their Tread Lightly Ale. I cracked’er open with apprehension, but to my surprise, not only is this beer passable, but good! Light, fruity(but not in a fruit beer way), full bodied, quite delicious. They also make a raspberry ale, which i have not tried. I am hesitant as beers with prominent fruits are not my faves. I’d like to add that it’s made here in Colorado(Boulder), so yee haw to my fellow locavores out there. Would I pee in my pants if Great Divide or Oskar Blues made a few gluten frees, but this beer’s no slouch.
