Who knows if the food is any good because the service is so poor you never really get a chance to ask for anything. Hey chef, learn how to smile, maybe serve yourself up some manners when you’re done glaring at customers for asking for water. I guess the pitcher on the counter is not for patrons. Maybe you have to order a certain amount of food and beer first? The vacant stares of the staff complement the dreary depressed environment — I can only imagine what it’s like when things get busy. One star for the guy who was kind enough to get me some water.

Awesome place to have a bite and a couple drinks. A little awkward as you walk in, was unsure if it was table service or what. There is a bar and a couple tables in front and also some seating in the back. The back is where you order food fast food style and they bring it to you. I opted for a reuben because of the reviews on saw on her about it and a microbrew(you just walk up to the bar) Hot, fresh and speedy, as I may add. My fellow Unilocalers did not dissappoint, it was delicious!

Came in for a late lunch. Was awkward trying to figure out how to order food. Was ok and cheap but is probably more suited for late night bar time. Bar food.

My kind of bar! After an exhausting hike up Royal Arch trail, we chugged at least 2 gallons of water each before diving in to Colorado beer. The bartender was friendly, it was Happy Hour, and we were served attentively and given great recommendations. A local gem in a tourist area.

I went here a few years ago and tried their Reuben sandwich. It was a late night — I had far too many drinks. My blood sugar was about to hit an all-time low. Enter: Reuben sandwich. This Reuben was not just good, it was an almost literal lifesaver. I returned last night with some friends. I was a little apprehensive to try their Reuben — why ruin such a good memory of the perfect Reuben? Certainly that level of quality is not attainable twice. But alas; this Reuben was just as good. The fries were also fine, but holy shit, that Reuben sandwich gets me all tingly down there just thinking about it. I hear their burgers are also awesome but get the fucking Reuben.

Burgers are almost better than Reuben’s(and would be if they had pretzel buns). If you wanna turn up come here around 10PM.

I used to begin and end my weekend roaming of The Mall here, anchoring my forays into the surreality of Boulder with some solid beer and a smoke(back when you could smoke downstairs). I’m happy to report that as of last night nothing has changed, except smoking(and vaping) is now out, but the food has gotten absolutely amazing. When you first walk in it seems like a tiny neighborhood watering hole that sarcastic Boulder bastards would call«cozy», but there also is a downstairs with pool tables, darts, and more along with seating, and on the ground floor an area in the back by the kitchen order window with more games and seating. Eat it, hippies. The beer selection only includes a half dozen or so drafts, but they’re well chosen and served ice cold and they do have more in bottles. The bar staff is friendly and fun and the kitchen, as I mentioned, cranks out food that will have you coming back for more. The hot wings in particular are heavenly; don’t let the fact that they’re small-ish fool you, you know how they taste so much better if they came from deliriously happy chickens. I loved this place 19 years ago, and love it even more now.

Terrible place. Bouncers seem to pick at random who is too intoxicated solely to impress there boss. Saw a sober man not let In with no explanation while three of the drunkest people i have ever seen let right in. Like others have said this place is not worth the harassment from the bouncers.

Not sure this review will make a difference. But tonight I went to the Pub and was refused service. I’m not drunk, I’m not belligerent, and I’m not sure why I was denied a drink. Regardless, I will never go to this bar again. It’s unfortunate because I’m a local… I don’t expect special service, but I expect good and respectable service… Very sad.

I’ll never go back to this bar again. In fact, I would have to be paid to even consider going. The ‘bouncers’ are on a power trip– turning away business since they are college drop outs that can’t get a real job. The blond meat head door guy really thinks he’s superior as he sits on his cold metal chair outside in the weather, checking to make sure customers IDs are horizontal instead of vertical. Many years did you study that in college? Stay away from this awful bar.

Interesting spot. Love the food but skeptical of the crowd. Their bounces can be on the impolite side as well.

Whoa, the food here is seriously good! Like, really good. Not at all what you would expect from a little pub on Pearl Street, a pretty touristy area. The grilled cheese was bomb. Doesn’t come with fries though, although the cook did say he puts a few on the plate, «just for looks.» HA! The happy hour was great, I think it was from 10-close. Several pints to choose from for $ 3. Loved everything about this place, even though it was mostly filled with(young) college students late on a Thursday night.

This is a standard bar/pub. There’s a limited sandwich menu you can order from and they call your name out and you go get it. It’s very low-key. The grilled cheese I had was delicious and my boyfriend enjoyed his burger. It’s not health food by any means, but it was tasty. The bartenders were friendly and efficient too. There’s a cellar downstairs with games and screens with different games on. I enjoyed it. It’s low-key and has lots of regular customers.

Had a blast a couple weeks ago with my friends & fiancé. Great prices, cool crowd, & pool. Could switch it up on the music from time to time. But overall it’s a good place to kick it.

It’s nice to find a good dive bar here and there. Yes, it’s loud. Yes, the tables have been carved by numerous guests. And yes, it smells like beer. But man, do fried mac and cheese wedges taste good at 1 a.m. Along with the fried mac(which came with hearty french fries), we sampled the sliders. Good bread, good beef, and really tasty and thick grilled onions. Pair those with a local IPA and you’ve got a successful late-night nosh.

Went here with my girlfriend and another couple around 4pm on Sunday. We wanted to play some darts and were pleasantly surprised to find a small room with two boards, designated to darts. Upon more inspection, we found two pool tables and two foosball tables. Wound up staying here till around 7pm and having a blast. We even ordered the Mac n’ Cheese bites and however unhealthy they are, there were pretty damn good! I have heard that at night the bar can get kinda sketchy with people fighting and some shady characters coming in. As far as I am concerned, this place is great and a nice stop while drinking on Pearl St.

I will rarely write a negative review, but on this circumstance I feel it’s necessary that I voice my opinion about The Pub after being there the other night. Upon ordering our very first drink of the night and asking for a couple dollars in quarters in order to play foosball the bartender(which we learned later that night was the manager, bald headed bearded dude) SLAMMED our change down and stormed away. Later in the night(an hour or so) I went back to order a jack and coke. When he came back with my drink he asked what my deal was, I responded, «honestly, I am appalled by your bad attitude». He immediately snatched my drink and slammed(glass) onto the floor followed by him calling me a b*tch and telling his security to have me removed. I do not go out much nor was intoxicated by any means. I was just honestly answering his question in which he obviously didn’t care to hear. I was completely thrown back by this and have never been treated so rudely in my life. I have been in the industry for many years prior and know that treating customers and guest this way is unacceptable. I do not condone this behavior hence my review for I have never written a negative review. He needs to be fired.

We were just walking the Pearl Street Mall, and decided we wanted a drink. We’d never been in here, but we decided the name of the place was good enough for us to give it a try. Inside, the place reminded me of many, many pubs I’ve been in in different cities. Brick walls, photos on the wall, TV’s, game tables, and a very narrow walkway. It’s thin. The service was very responsive, and immediate, even thought the place was not empty. We wanted Bloody Marys — spicy — and this place did not disappoint The Bloody Mary was as close to perfect as I’d every tasted, and it was actually spicy, the way I ordered it. I was particularly surprised that it only cost $ 5.00, and I was led to believe that’s the regular price, not a special price. Yeah, I’ll remember this place, and, when I come back to Boulder, I’ll make it a point to stop in for another Bloody Mary. We loved this place.

Found this place through a Unilocal search. My hubby and I are Baby-boomers always looking for a place to slip away for day off(typically Mondays) and we really like this place! Darts and pool tables in tucked away cubbies, lots of old brick creating an atmosphere conducive to the«ahhhhh-factor». And it’s Monday early evening so I’m sure this is a low key version of this pub’s normal night life. Fine with me! We can hear ourselves talk while listening to some great familiar 70’s rock +. Good food, best Philly we’ve had in CO. But don’t come on Mondays… we like the intimacy.

So glad we tried this place! Since it’s located on the touristy Pearl Street Mall, we never would have stopped in if we hadn’t seen the excellent reviews on Unilocal. This place is first and foremost a bar. Two dark shotgun levels, with minimal table seating, pool tables, dart boards, TVs, etc. Not a restaurant. However… the food is fantastic. Sweetie and I both got burgers and fries, and I’ve gotta tell you, I can’t remember ever having had a better burger. No exaggeration. Excellent quality beef, fresh tasty toppings, good bun, and bestill my heart, the patty was actually medium rare, exactly as I had ordered.(I always ask for medium rare when ordering a burger anywhere, more for the theoretical concept than for the actual enjoyment, because most places NEVER actually cook it correctly. But this place did. Woohoo!) Wow, I’ve got to say it again. Fantastic burger!!! And the fries were also wonderful– hot and fresh from the frier, seasoned with salt(but not too much) and black pepper. Didn’t need ketchup or any other enhancement. Must send our compliments to the cook(I think his name was Pat?). He did a fantastic job. Hope management appreciates him! We visited during Happy Hour(3p-6p daily), which has ridiculously good deals. An 8oz cheeseburger with fries, on Tuesdays? $ 6. No kidding.(Every weekday has a different HH food special.) And 12oz microbrews were $ 3.50. Again, not kidding. We paid $ 3.50 for 12oz Upslopes here, while Upslope at its own tasting room charges $ 5.50 for 10oz of the same brew. All other food is $ 1 off per, during HH. If the rest of the vittles are as good as the burgers, this place truly rocks.
