I bought an online deal for a wrap. Then I started reading these reviews and realized that the cheap wrap would probably be the gateway for a huge sales pitch. I made my appointment anyway, and took my own measurements just prior to leaving the house. Stashed my measuring tape in my purse on the way out the door. The QuickFit facility is patently ridiculous. It doesn’t know what it wants to be, so it winds up looking and sounding like a tattoo parlor on steroids having a circus flashback. I was told on the way in that with my wrap comes a free week on the power plates. Yeah, no thanks. The person giving me the wrap was nice enough, though she did spend the whole time trying to sell me on the other services there. She took my measurements, wrapped me up, turned down the lights, and left the room. Picture this: You’re bound in saran wrap with a questionable paste on your body, under blankets, in a dark room. There’s soothing music playing. And there’s also THUMPINGLYLOUDBADROCK music playing at the same time, overtaking the gentle strains of the new age soundtrack. And then, layered on top of that discord, a girl in the next room starts screeching loudly on her phone. Lovely. I felt like a sucker. After an eternity, the wrapper came back in the room to cut me out of my plastic cocoon. She pretty gleefully took my measurements and told me I’d lost a few inches. Hurray! Except as soon as she left(making sure to put the tip envelope on the bench, which I did fill because hey, her job kind of sucks), I took my own measurements again and found that actually, I had lost not one centimeter. I got dressed and ran out the front door before she could stop me for an upsell. Yep, total scam.

I tried the herbal wrap that was supposed to induce fat loss. Now let me say up front, that I went into this not expecting miracles and figuring it was temporary(except they say it has lasting results if you do it several times). The person giving me the wrap was very nice and professional. She was great. The wrap however, was not. Mostly because it didn’t work at all. Not even the temporary result I was hoping for. I didn’t reduce even an inch — nada — nothing(and no, I’m not thin, I’m a moderate size 10 so there was definitely fat there to work with). By her reaction of surprise that I lost nothing, I’m assuming that other people actually get some results. I guess I felt that since it didn’t work(at all!) they could have offered me something: a free«try again», reduce the amount I had to pay, or something as a «consolation prize». But nope, I still had to pay the fee as it was. So, I’m thinking, no, I will not be back.

Really great machines! A little pricey but a great work out.

QuickFit’s response to my review is comical. Not once did they mention a nutritionist or dietitian during my visits. The method used to identify the«body symptoms» is to have the«patient» complete a generic survey, then they input the answers into a computer and it spits out a «diagnosis». Lab results alone may not be the most accurate way to diagnose a thyroid problem, neither is blindly accepting the numbers indicated on a survey. All Rachel wants is your money. There is no «quick-fix». If you want results save your money and work with a personal trainer and certified nutritionist.

I was excited to check this place out because 15 minutes a day, 3 times a week sounds great! They’re offering three workouts for free and I decided to check it out(I’m not sure if they still have the coupon for free workouts going on – it was in the Boulder Weekly). I walked in and this place seemed quite unprofessional/ungym-like from the framed cut and paste collages of celebrities that use the power plates to the strange jewel-colored fleur-de-lis décor. This coupled with the loud, wailing music choice made it seem more like a tanning salon than a place to work out. When I met with the sales person/fitness expert after filling out a bunch of forms, she tried to delve into my pain about wanting to get fit. I used to be in sales, I know that she was trying to be a shoulder to lean on in order to find my «hot buttons» which she’d later use as the reason why I have join and get fit now. Like another reviewer commented, the sales person insisted that my thyroid was low. «Have you had your thyroid checked?» she asked. «Most tests won’t show a low thyroid even though your thyroid is low,» she explained. It sounded like she was determined that my thyroid was low. I finally got to use the power plate machine doing simple exercises such as wall sits and planks for about 30 seconds each. I noticed that the inattentive«trainer» did not correct my form on any of the exercises. Now I’d like to think I have perfect form, but I know I don’t. The trainer seemed like she was only going through the motions, «push that button» she said dully and watched me as I stood on the high frequency plate which jars your teeth and tickles your nose. I didn’t have a wrap(and wouldn’t) because I know that any compression wrap will«shrink» your body through mere pressure, not actual fat loss — it’s a short-term effect. I’d bet that this place won’t last long, they’re obviously new in town and something tells me Boulderites won’t fall for the salesy tactics they use here.

Got a Weight Loss spa wrap here and it was a good experience. My tech was very nice and very professional. She explained to me that the Niacin cream removes toxins from your body and results in inches lost, but not necessarily pounds lost. I lost ~2 inches total after the first wrap. I’m not completely sold on the wrap itself, but the service here was great and the facility was comfortable. The main service this place offers is Power Plates, where you do a workout on a vibrating plank. It is the same idea as the shake weight, where you are fatiguing your muscles by holding movements, etc. Not particularly sold on that service either, but can’t say much since I didn’t try it out. I don’t think this place is a total scam, like Jessica S does. But, definitely have any diagnosis or recommendations double checked by a professional. This place is definitely a little gimicky and sales is the name of the game.
