We purchased approx. $ 14,000 worth(not including installation) of Marvin windows and a door for a home remodel. We were told they had a 20 year warranty. Within the first year I reported two minor problems to ours sales rep in person at the store. She said a technician would be in touch shortly. After two months of hearing nothing, I followed up with the owner/manager. This was the second time the salesperson had said she would provide customer service and failed to do so. The owner condescendingly told me I wasn’t being respectful because I was disparaging his unethical and incompetent sales rep and therefore he would not honor the store’s warranty. Evidently, this is a secret clause of the warranty. He was not at all concerned with his company’s lack of customer service or his lying sales staff. The Marvin products are superior; however, I recommend buying them elsewhere. Solar Glass is arrogant, only honor warranties as the mood strikes them, and have a serious lack of ethical business standards. This is a follow up: the problem turned out to be worse than I originally reported. The door’s hardware was broken internally, which means it was delivered that way and Solar Glass and Gwenael Hagan refused to fix it or honor their own warranty. They have defrauded me.

I’m mixed about these guys. Seems like they could use some better sales people. The one I had often didn’t give me the information I wanted in the manner I requested it. His quotes were not easy to understand for a lay person and he often didn’t get back to me for a week or more. After awhile and price checking, I ended up buying my windows from a different dealer. My doors I did get here because I wanted to give them some of my business, them being a local company and all. But price-wise, they weren’t very competitive. I wished I’d had more time to shop around the Denver area.
