Fantastic experience in this store. All staff are extremely knowledgeable and experienced so be sure to take the opportunity to listen to their advice and follow it. We went in to look at an Aero chair but upon learning a whole lot more, walked out with a Life Form Breeza and an adjustable footstool. My husband has had a lifelong weak back issue and works from home and sits at his computer 40 hours a week so wanted a chair that would be comfortable and offer excellent ergonomics. Total cost was about $ 1,000 but it has a 10 year warranty and he LOVES it. Two years later(now) we needed to replace he armrests as the leather was cracking and they did so, no cost and no questions asked. He no longer has pain and his need for chiropractor and massage visits has reduced. Initially we had sticker shock at the thought of spending a thousand bucks on a chair but it’s much more than that — it’s an investment in your health and wellbeing which also enhances productivity and comfort. It’s among the best $ 1,000 we’ve ever spent. We sat in chairs at Staples afterward out of curiosity and you can’t even begin to compare… This is a chair that will last you many years and the service and knowledge of the Better Back Store team are second to none. We wouldn’t think of going anywhere else to buy another or if/when the time eventually comes to replace this. Thank you for a fantastic experience and for educating us(not selling us!)

We bought our chairs a couple years ago when I was having terrible pain in my neck and shoulder area. We are tax preparers and I was dreading having to sit in my current chair for hours on end in the months of our busy season coming up. I was desperate for a solution. We worked with a male associate there who was super knowledgeable in ergonomics(which I knew nothing about). He really helped me! Especially the part about when your head is forward you are adding pounds of pressure to your neck! He helped me pick a chair and taught me how to sit ergonomically. He really took time with me and I appreciated that. We didn’t buy that day because it was such a commitment financially. But in the end we decided to get two chairs, one for me and one for my husband. It was the best decision and money we ever spent on a chair. We have used them for two tax seasons(going on our third) and don’t have the fatigue we use to have. I also taped the ergonomic position card on my computer screen to remind me of how to sit better. I also want to point out their warranty program, it is awesome! Last year my piston wasn’t working correctly. They told me to bring in the chair and they would fix it while I waited. I didn’t have to produce proof of purchase or anything they just took care of me because they remembered me! Yesterday I brought in my arms because the fabric was cracking. I thought it was leather but actually it was vinyl. The owner replaced them while I waited with beautiful leather arm covers and they did it while I waited! I love their product AND their customer service! As I was reading some of these reviews, I found it interesting that some people give glowing praise to the store and customer service, but lower their score because the chair didn’t work for them. That is a shame. If the store and service is grand, the store deserves a 5 star rating. Just sayin’

I love this place, the owner and staff. I have low back issues and went in to the store not knowing what I needed, just that I needed help. They spent over an hour with me finding the perfect chair for my body(I went with a Life Form and it continues to be the most comfortable chair in my entire house). I also purchased a foot stool and sit/stand desk. When I had to return the desk on account of a change in my office needs, Cynthia was unbelievable pleasant and totally understanding. I felt bad that I had to return the desk and she was the one who was totally fine about it. I highly recommend this store and will definitely be back in the future for additional needs. Also it should be said that everyone here really knows about ergonomics and body positioning. I felt like they sincerely cared and wanted to help me feel better — it was not just about making a sale. One final note: the products in this store are very high-end and expensive but they are the best on the market and it’s worth spending the money, especially for something you use daily.

Cynthia and her entire team know their stuff. I purchased a Life Form chair about 18 months ago. This is a high end chair that has definitely enabled me to sit many more hours comfortably. Lately however I noticed one arm was showing a small crack in the padding. I called Cynthia and she said about 18 months ago they had a manufacturing problem with the arms. She told me to remove both of them(an easy process) and they would replace them immediately at no charge. And they did! Service and customer satisfaction sets this store apart.

My experience was nothing but positive from start to finish, and I’m exceedingly pleased with the product(a Lifeform office chair and a tempurpedic pillow). The customer service was outstanding — perhaps the best I can ever remember receiving in a retail store. I was treated in a very authentic manner that made me feel comfortable and relaxed. It didn’t feel like I was making a major purchase, even though I spent at least an hour talking to the owner and one of her employees. They were both very professional and genuine. I would recommend this store to anyone with back issues because this chair has been wonderful and has aided in my recovery from a serious malady.

I was so thankful that I found this store. I have an SI joint injury(i.e. lower back /hip pain), and I have been to every furniture store I could find, trying to find any kind of chair I could sit on for any length of time other than an office chair. I couldn’t find anything that worked for me until I came here. I dealt with 4 different sales people here over a long period of time, and I felt they were all very knowledgeable and helpful(yes, I do agree that one of them is very«enthusiastic» in a way that could be perceived as pushy, but at least he knows what the heck he’s talking about). Much of their furniture is not cheap, although I think they do have some less expensive options that just didn’t work for my case. But after going to about 20 furniture stores, trying different options, and taking them all back, I would have given a king’s ransom to find a chair that worked for me — and I found it at this store, FINALLY. The furniture will hopefully be worth the price, though, as it offers an excellent warranty and should last for a very long time. Part of the appeal of the store too is the loaner cushions they offer to help with your problem. They have 40-some of them for different types of problems, and you can borrow every single one of them to try them and see if it helps you — and I think I did try almost all of them. I took home many of them at a time, and they let me keep them for about a week since I live so far away. They are very accommodating and generous in this policy. So, I found a chair here that was fairly comfortable; and then augmented it with a support cushion that hit me just right. You get two full weeks in which you can take the chair back if you don’t like it(but I didn’t need to do that). I feel like this store can be very helpful for those of us who have back issues and are in pain. Perhaps it’s not the cheapest, I don’t know; but it certainly gives you a huge amount of things to choose from that could help with a back injury /problem. For me, it was definitely worth the money.

Unlike a few other reviewers, I had a reasonably pleasant experience in this store with about a half-hour of help from the(female) owner in selecting a chair. Unfortunately, my chair was not comfortable in extended periods of sitting and working at home, so I returned it within the 14-day evaluation window. No questions were asked, although I would have been happy to share feedback about why I didn’t think the chair worked for me. I got a credit back to my card on the spot. It’s hard to ask for more than that.(Okay, I wish the chair would have worked!)

I’m torn reviewing this place. On the one hand, when it comes to the trial period and«borrowing» items, these people were dead honest and honorable. I bought a chair, tried it at home for a few weeks and decided it wasn’t for me, and when I brought it back in, they didn’t bat an eye or object in the least, they just put the money back on the card and asked if they could help me with anything else. I’ve had a similar experience trying a few different pillows and eventually buying one. I’ve since bought other items through them, and have had no problems with their customer service or in their honoring their return/borrowing program. However, most of my experiences there have been somewhat tainted by a particular, rather omnipresent associate’s tendency towards a very hard sale. He certainly seemed to know his stuff, but given the strength and fury with which he was pushing his highest priced product, I quickly started to question whether any given answer was the most accurate answer or the one that pointed to the particular product he was trying to sell. So, that was very off-putting, and made me feel somewhat reluctant to trust him or buy a product from them. In the same way that a really slimy used car salesman can make you feel unsure about buying even a good car, most of my purchases there were a bit tainted. However, as I said, I suspect that that might just have been the particular salesman I was working with. Perhaps his relation to the owner(I think) pushes him to sell harder than necessary, and in this economy, who can blame him. But regardless, there’s a very nice woman working there who is far less pushy, and the dark haired man working there is more pleasant to work with as well. My only other gripe is that their prices are impressively high on items that you might find elsewhere(like exercise bands and balls). I can’t blame them for trying to cut a profit, but you’d certainly save some money buying those things at exercise stores instead of there. So, in short, they’re an honest business with a good return/demo policy, and they’re a great place to buy ergonomic furniture and accessories, but the pleasantness of shopping and getting information there is diminished significantly by a tendency towards a hard sell. But if you walk in there already knowing what it is that you’re wanting to buy or try, or if you make sure you grab one of the less pushy associates, you’ll have a wonderful experience.

If you are looking for a self fix, this store is for you. I particularly liked the staff as they knew a hard sale wasn’t necessary(the products spoke for themselves!). They only carry the best from customer feedback and they even let you borrow items, WOW! It makes sense why many of the«pushy» stores are going under but they continue to serve Boulder and most likely will for years to come.
