I stopped in for a hot chocolate treat in the afternoon. It was $ 3 for what tasted like some water with a half packet of Swiss miss. Never again.

I’ll start with the good. They had a bunch of wonderful options available for everything actually. Terrific variety down to some less found coffee drinks at coffee shops. They had 4 brewed options! I tried all of them and some were good, some were okay. Most coffee shops have 1 – 2 brews per day but I was swept away by having 4 options. Major points there. The bad. I wasn’t overly excited by my customer service. I don’t know if there was miscommunication with me simply asking for a cup of coffee, but I seemed to get a tiny bit of attitude from my barista. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt, but it made my experience a little uncomfortable. The coffee itself, better than Boxcar. I’m not too familiar with Conscious Coffee roasters but their product offers some nice flavors. I’d love to do more of a sampling and fine one that I love. That being said, I’m glad I decided to skip Boxcar for this place. Definitely a more enjoyable experience.

I have been here a couple of times to study, and I am fairly impressed. There is a large selection available for coffee lovers, and they also have some good ice cream options available. The atmosphere is average, however, and can occasionally be too loud, which isn’t conducive to studying. This place does qualify as a decent location to just relax and meet up with friends. The service here is about average. This is a good place to enjoy if you have never been, and if you’re looking for a new coffee shop

I’ve only been to this coffee shop twice and I am in love with it. When I saw it on Unilocal,I thought It would be just a regular coffee place .one day, I walk in, and for my surprised I find out they have Honduran coffee(yes, I am from Honduras and our coffee is way better and different from others) .I immediately wanted to try /taste it. After I started drinking it, I felt like I was home drinking coffee. Excellent coffee and really cheap. It was only $ 2.25 for a medium cup. Hopefully, I will be returning soon to this place. Nice Job guys !!! Thanks :-)

I’ve been a regular to this coffee shop over the last few weeks, came in tonight at 7:45 to find the door locked(they close at 10). Three employees lazily stared at me and my friends until one finally started walking to the door. I figured he’s either opening it or coming out to say they close early, instead he just made sure the door was locked and then walked back. Guess I’ll just go to one of the other of the endless coffee shops on pearl street.

I stopped by early one morning on a coffee tour of Boulder. I ordered the Bhatki chai and was really pleased. I had no idea Bhatki was a local company as Ive been enjoying their drinks in Nashville for a while now. Along with the chai, I had their blueberry coffee cake. I have no idea if they bake in house or what but holy cow there were a lot of blueberries. It was fantastic! Price is pretty comparable to other coffee shops. About $ 3 for baked goods and $ 4.50 for custom drinks. There is definitely good people watching as they have a garage style establishment!

Very nice coffee shop in downtown Boulder. Hipster looking place, reminded me of PDX. I got the Cappucino which was great, better still was the complimentary biscotti with the coffee! Nice place to chill and hang out if you’re in the Boulder area.

Apparently I’m the most regular person at The Cup, according to Unilocal anyway, so I suppose a review is in order. Especially as the Curtado is on the menu and spread around Boulder thanks to me popularizing it here at The Cup. I’ve been coming to The Cup for about 6 years. I don’t live in Boulder much anymore, so it’s even nicer to drop in when I can. And I keep coming back here because it’s just the best damn coffee in all of Boulder. Many others try, and the Laughing Goat is a close second, and many new places have tried, but none have been able to take the crown of best of Boulder. And it’s not just the coffee. The atmosphere is not pretentious like many others. There’s no snobbery here, just amazing espresso. This is not a slice of Seattle, and be thankful for that. This is the child of Chris and Wendy Ball. A labor of love. The air conditioning in the summer sucks, the new awning only provides shade after 6:30 in the middle of summer, the wifi is terrible, but it’s all worth it. College students can be found here, but not like at Starbucks. It’s a mix of entrepreneurs, locals, espresso aficionados, and the college crowd. So come, relax, try to connect to the wifi, and try something new. You’ll like it.

Love this place for breakfast! Plenty of seating inside and several tables outside… service is always friendly and crisp! The lox bagel has a good portion of lox, the veggie bagel has fresh lettuce, tomato, avocado, cucumber, red onion, and I added spinach – soooo good! Prices are reasonable, the coffee is good, and we always sit and read – a good start to any day!

Coffee was delicious. The man taking our order recommended three different unique drinks that weren’t on the menu. While we waited the other man was very friendly and talked to us about the college we were going to tour. Great coffee and great service!

Decided to try a new coffee shop in Boulder and heard this one was pretty descent. And it is, the coffee is pretty good everything from a latte to iced coffee. Plus they have daily variations on their house coffee which is nice to see. I haven’t eaten any of the food however there are plenty of options to try and the bagels always seem super popular. They are playing the Tour de France in the mornings which is a big plus for me and my husband, we go for a ride in the morning and stop here for coffee and watch the tour. It’s always pretty busy but we have managed to get a table every time we have been, there is free wifi and lots of people working away in their laptops. The space could do with some sort of design but overall it’s not bad. Definitely worth a visit if you are in town!

Stopped here twice during our trip to boulder. LOVE the coffee and the staff was super friendly. It’s a busy spot so be prepared for that but otherwise the best on pearl street.

This place is great and the options are vast. From the beverages to the food, I have yet to try more items than I can count on both hands, but the few I have, have been topnotch. The Cup offers daily variations in their coffees, stemming from South America throughout Africa, and boasts good relations with their roots. The walls lined with photos of rural coffee farmers help portray an understanding of where your drink really came from. I personally am a fan of their Espresso which is deliciously served with a little biscotti: powerfully flavorful and life giving. I had the chance to give their Nitro coffee a try(nitrogenated coffee, just like a nitro stout), which tasted awesome and was totally new to me. What really makes this place in my opinion, minus the energy of it all, is the food. The cup is far more than a coffee shop. While they work to maintain close relations with their Boulder agricultural suppliers, they maintain fair priced and amazingly tasty food. Their smoked salmon cheesecake –imagine a quiche consisting of smoked salmon, cream cheese, and capers. Their baked goods are always fresh, the banana bread slices for two dollars are a killer deal: they’re massive and always moist. I’ve tried a few of the sandwiches, each of which has not let me down. I’m genuinely excited to plow gorge my way through the menu. There’s a front room with couches and tables for dining and coffeeshopping, as well as a back room for more quiet place to do your work, read, or hold a little meeting.

I stopped here because I was waiting on someone and the café was right next to my parking spot in front of Pearl Street, so I will say they have a phenomenal location. The place was pretty full and busy but everything seemed to be moving fairly quickly. The interior is really well set up with a mixture of chairs and high tops, and outdoor tables as well. The guys behind the counter were nice. I ordered a standard medium latte, it really isn’t much to brag about and was slightly overpriced for the quality. Generally, when the medium latte is over $ 4(with tax) I expect something flavorful and nice to the last sip, this one was a bit bland and not necessarily bitter but had a bit of an odd taste to me for some reason. I had a coupon at home and didn’t realize it until later, next time I will try another latte and bring the coupon.

The Cup is my favorite Boulder hang out! The roll up doors help to make the atmosphere awesome and is such a treat when the weather is nice. Also, the sidewalk seating is great for people watching. The bagels are fresh and come with a bunch of different cream cheese options. My favorite thing to eat is the turkey brie sandwich. And the nitro coffee is truly unique and tasty. The only gripes I have is that there seems to be no sense of urgency from the staff; even when it is slammed, they move very slowly. With that being said, I just make sure I only come here when I’m not pressed for time. Also the ice tea is vey weak; like water with an slight essence added to it. All in all, I will continue to come here and stick to ordering my favorites.

A great pit stop for coffee. My almond latte was tasty. Didn’t feel rushed. Place was popular with the rocker set.

East-end Pearl Street goodness. The good: genuinely excellent coffee, expertly prepared, by very hip young baristas sporting very interesting fashion choices. The not-great: $ 3 for an Americano dear god. Also the place is packed. Even the back room. On weekday afternoons when normal people are working. I will be back; the coffee is that good(even at that price), but only if I don’t have to walk three blocks again to find a place to sit.

I came here only because the burger spot next door wouldn’t allow dogs in their outdoor space. Thankfully the Cup was welcoming and even had doggy water bowls outdoors! YAY I came here and ordered a medium black toddy and also got a couple of sodas(blood orange and grapefruit Izze and San Pellegrino). I waited at the counter for a while with my items and was waiting on being served. It took a long time before the girl behind the counter spoke to me and said, «what are you waiting for?» Wasn’t it obvious? I am at the counter, I have sodas in my hand and I am standing there looking for someone to help me with my coffee order. The one feathered earring Toms wearing hippie worker who was asking the other worker when the next full moon was coming out was also too preoccupied to talk to me. It was unnatural how long it took my to get their attention. It wasn’t even that they were busy with orders. They just seemed to be really absorbed in something. The coffee tasted fine and sodas are obviously fine but I wish the service was more on point. This place is still a-ok in my book because of their dog allowing policy.
