My daughter took the Felt, Fabric and Fiber summer camp and it was the perfect summer day break for my daughter. Three hours was the perfect amount of time for her and enough time for me to get some errands done. She loved the many different arts and crafts. The teachers were all amazing and so engaged with my daughter. All of the other kids were so nice. And the camp had a nice mid class break for the kiddos to run around and get that extra energy out, which was perfect. The studio was sunny and clean – a very inviting and charming space that I felt very good about leaving my kiddo for a few hours. Every day when I picked her up, the teacher had all the kids on pillows listening to her read a book about art or famous artists. Perfection. I must say, I loved the art she bought home. The felt wrapped soap was used the night we brought it home! And the pillow is under her head right now as she sleeps. I would highly recommend any of the Tinker Art Studio classes to all!

Hey Tinker, while we haven’t been to your studio, we just wanted to give you the heads up on the negative review you’ve got on 1÷12÷2014 from Caron T.(if its even their real name). We are Sunflower Kids Art Studio and we got exactly the same(word for word) review 3 weeks ago. We’ve heard great things about you and we wanted to support our art community in Boulder. We love this place! We no longer live in the area but use to attend the homeschool programs and open studio and really enjoyed it. The open studio seemed to attract younger kids but the projects were fun and different. The homeschool art was awesome! My daughter came home with some amazing pieces of art work which now line our walls. The staff and owner are really nice. My daughter felt comfortable in the environment and the location is great. If we still lived near by we would attend more programs!

I had read about Tinker, people had told me about how great it was, I «liked» their FB page, but it was not until this past Wednesday that my boys and I finally stopped by for open studio time. We arrived at about 330pm and were greeted by Christie, one of the owners. She was SO welcoming and both boys were immediately engaged and ready to get out there and create some art! The interior of the space is beautiful — soft lighting, lots of colour, texture, and even though the space filled up with lots of parents and kids, there was a consistent mellow vibe that was very conducive to art-making. Open Studio time involves 5 or 6 stations with a variety of activities — on the day we were there we had the opportunity to experiment with clay, print-making, wire and bead art, chalk art, paint and found object stamping, and a general collage-making station. You pay by the hour and initially I wondered if we’d make it for a full hour, but the boys were hooked and I felt like I was dragging them away at the end! Tinker offers tons of interesting classes, birthday parties and of course open studio a few times a week. We bought a punch card pass and absolutely cannot wait to return! What an amazing thing to do with your kids!

My girls(5 and 8) are both in camp at Tinker Art Studio this week. The women who run it are so sweet and they’ve done great projects with the girls. They’ve also done a nice job with the space. I’ll definitely sign them up for camp there in the future.
