Good but not great, we went when it was apparently seafood day and they didn’t have much of a selection for non seafood foods. Kids couldn’t find much to eat here. It was a typical buffet, the drink selection was awesome and dessert was good. Food was eh

Well it’s better than Golden Corral but for all the variety none of it is very good. Even the deserts leave something to be desired. It’s just subpar at best as far as flavor goes. They do have a great drink selection though. Also, they always are busy which makes it hard to get around to all the stations without constantly stepping in and out of people’s way. More hustle than it’s worth.

Never ever ever again!!! The food is average at best!!! The problem with this place plate the hordes of people that go and allow their kids to run loose and crazy throughout the place kicking screaming and yelling, not to mention jumping on the seats handling all the food on the buffet unsupervised and annoy the other customers know they’re trying to eat peacefully. It reached a head today when s group of 40 with at least 15 children under the ages of 12 allow the kids to not only invade other people spaces but the entire restaurant… I will never go back no matter how much my father begs me!!!

We’ve always enjoyed Chuck a Rama for our kids, everyone can find something they like. We recently moved to Davis County and will never visit the Bountiful location again. A group of teenagers covered in fake blood(injuries) were allowed into the restaurant and it made for a miserable eating atmosphere. In addition to that we pulled 6 different utensils out of the«clean» area only to find they had food caked to them. I guess we shouldn’t have expected much eating at a buffet but this one fell far below acceptable standards even for low class eating establishments.

The place is a little busy during dinner time. But the food is good and the stuff is very friendly. A good place to bring your family!

While Jeff was there this place was off the chain. Since my boy left, it’s started going down the tubes. Still aight though.

I am not a fan of buffet style restaurants. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the place was. No rating for service since it is all self service. A few people offered to get refills and removed finished plates from the table. The greens at the salad bar looked fresh. As far as the quality of the food there: it was good enough. They do offer an excellent variety of beverages to choose from including the Utah favorite — Apple Beer.

I let my kids talk me into going on a Saturday afternoon. Quickly remembered why I stay away. This place is a zoo! If you like crowds, then enjoy. It isn’t a pleasant experience for me to be packed in a booth next to a party of 12. It’s like Grand Central Station at rush hour. And it’s LOUD! Some of the food is good. Of course, my favorite item is always gone. If it’s that popular – they should make more! Isn’t that the point of the buffet? Seriously, they seem to keep everything else filled. On the flipside, my kids are happy. They can each get whatever they like. There is a big selection of food. It’s certainly family friendly.

Saw a sign while driving through SLC for the Chuck-A-Rama and thought… why not. I must say it was one of the cleanest buffets we have been to. They also had a lot of selection and the food was really good. The staff was attentive and seem to be ready to fill/clean the buffet at a moments notice.

OK, I must confess I have had a 10 year recurring thought about this place. I’m tempted to ditch my clothes, streak into the place with a pitchfork, jamm it into that huge roast beef sitting there then run out with the roast and speed away. It would be the felony that goes on my permanent record. Other than that, agreed a nice salad bar better than sizzlers. Experience is cafeteria food in steam tables with the usual assortment of starch and salt. People from out of town will get a chuckle from the sign and the name. Chuck… A… RAMA? Are you kidding me? Welcome to Utah.

I know, I know. Don’t even say it. But besides wanting another first on the books, I want to give you chunky buggers trying to drop a few a pointer here. Pay the $ 8 and get all you-can-eat rockin’ salad bar. I have tried all of the salad bars in the area… sizzler, cherry tomato, chinese buffet… this one is the best. Super fresh spinach and mixed greens and iceburg… they serve it all. I’m here to say, this place was key in helping me drop 30 lbs on Atkins. Lotsa salad, lotsa chicken, lotsa meat. Avoid everything else.
