Dollar Tree

A very negative experience with an old rude discontent-​with-​life lady. Came in to spend money and it seems she must have thought I was asking for free merchandise with the way she treated customers. If I come to spend my money and I need help from an employee I should not be treated rudely. I can easily take my money elsewhere.

Great spot I came here got what I needed some wrapping paper to ship something in the mail and it was cheap and I left had no problems everyone was extremely nice and I love the area so shopping here is a bonus just because of the area and because the people are really nice this store is neat everything is pretty easy to find and they were well stocked and everything that I needed I would definitely come back here and definitely recommend anyone else to come here as well

I’m not sure why there are bad reviews for this place. The selection is great and there are a lot of great deals. Five Below sells some of the same items you can find here for $ 1, for $ 3 — $ 5, so good savings! A lot of stuff you wouldn’t expect. The customer service has been good on my past visits as well. The store is fairly organized as well.

I only reason I’ve gone into dollar stores is to get Christmas wrapping bags. Saves you a whole lot of money. I don’t buy the other stuff because it is cheap quality crap. What do you expect for a buck. However, today I came in because I just packed up my house so I can move and needed some cheap utensils/​plates that I can throw away eventually. Wala, this store came in handy.

3 stars for the store itself and 5 for the staff. This store employs some of the friendliest women in Bowie for sure.
As far as the Dollar Tree it’s always well stocked and usually clean (though that last aisle can be wrecked every now & again). I don’t care for this chain as much as the popular west coast version, but they do all right. I can usually get my mailing supplies for my eBay business, solar powered lights for my yard, freezer bags and party décor here. For just a dollar, can’t beat that.

Ok after years of wishing Bowie would have a LEGIT Dollar store, I return back to the DMV to see my wish was granted! Well that wish quickly turned into a «what the heck is this» when I entered the store on numerous occasions to be disappointed.
I mean sure I was able to snag some cookware when i needed to quickly bake and didn’t want to make an arm and leg for the supplies and wrapping paper the day before Christmas (Procrastinators unite!), but that is all overshadowed by the poor customer service. There were a few nice workers but I always get this very rude and unfriendly middle aged blonde hair white woman that either wants to get smart/​sarcastic with me or really just acts like bagging my items is such a pain to her.
I went to Dollar Tree’s all the time while in North Carolina (I mean a Dollar Store right next to my campus was a college students, beyond convenient) as well as other areas and never did I experience such sour attitudes as I did in the Bowie location. I might just bite the bullet and keep going to the original Dollar Tree in Largo. Twice the size as Bowie and nicer people.
