Big Lots

I was shopping there Monday 12÷7÷15 and EVERYONE was so nice and helpful ! The manager went out of his way to help me find boxes and another young man helped me find Christmas lights .
I worked retail for 17 years and was a district sales manager for 13 stores in three states. If I was still in retail I would have tried to steal them away !

There a large selection of stuff that I don’t want to buy.

This place! Seriously the prices for some things are just wonderful. They have weekend sales on top of that!
It’s a little tricky to locate if you aren’t familiar with the Bowie area, don’t let it get the best of you! Wonderful staff friendly and helpful keep current with their sales they have an additional 20% off on these days…

It’s Big Lots, but seriously though, I was in the area and stopped by. Reminded of Dollar General with the setup but bigger. I scored some fruity snacks, some wafers, and Valentine window clings for under $ 10. All in all a good trip.

I think this location opened in 2012. The store is good sized, but not laid out like some of the other area locations. No matter, I go to Big Lots to hunt for interesting stuff for a deal anyway. As with all discount stores, you’ve got to know what is, and what isn’t, a deal… because they all have a few bad buys.
Big Lots is on my regular errand schedule because there are always deals to be found. I tend to buy my cleaning and laundry supplies plus some of my pantry items (pasta, canned vegetables, basic spices, herbal teas, salsa, European cookies, European chocolates, etc) and from time to time they have my favorite German and Italian coffees and I buy a heap!
My guy trolls the electronics and usually has a go at the small appliances for me… he grabbed an ice cream maker for me on this trip — Cuisinart for $ 30, sure it was a refurb, but I’ve had good luck with refurb stuff and as a result am usually willing to give it a go after a quick check of the contents of the box.
This location isn’t my favorite of the area locations simply because it’s in one of those stupid shopping centers that only have one way in and out, therefore it’s a traffic jam most of the time, but at least the store is near the mouth of the jam.
