My friend and I stopped in to get some breakfast and try out their new summer pancake menu. It was 1:30 in the morning and we were seated immediately. Our server was Carla and she made sure we had fresh coffee, creamer and ice water. We ordered and the food was perfect. Pineapple upside-down pancakes you’re amazing. Best IHOP experience.

Smiles were 100% real! Our sever, Smiley, made sure our needs were met! My 3 kids really liked it! The food quickly arrived and the food was very appealing! It is such a shame that it gets such mediocre reviews, because my experience was truly exceptional!

It was ok. Typical, one thing I didn’t like is the mandatory 15% gratuity because it was late. What if my waitress/waiter sucked? Anyway, if you’re looking for a late night meal. I guess you can check them out. They have security and he carries both a flashlight and firearm. I felt soooo safe.

IHOP in Bowie routinely provides good food, a friendly atmosphere, and excellent service at reasonable prices. Kids eat free every day of the week, from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. This really ups the«value» factor when my wife and I take our daughter. I am always trying out whatever their special of the month is — usually, some assortment of crème filled pancakes or fruit-topped crepes. My favorite on the regular menu is the white chocolate chip pancakes topped with raspberries. During the fall, they have pumpkin pancakes which are a great treat. My wife loves the omlettes(which she always customizes, to a degree) and she normally gets a side of harvest grain and nut pancakes. Most items can be ordered as a «meal» which, depending on what one you get, provides you with the main item you ordered along with a side of hash browns, eggs cooked however you want, bacon, and/or sausage. The only thing I don’t care for are the hash browns. They normally come out kind of crispy on the outside(which I like) but are almost moist and sometimes a little cold on the inside. It makes me think that they’re frozen which is fine if they are… but the cooks should figure out a way to cook them a little more thorough! My wife, her sister and I actually went here on Thanksgiving 2015 and got the«Thanksgiving Dinner» meal(turkey and mashed potatoes) and to our relative surprise, it was excellent. We’ve never went out to eat on Thanksgiving before, but our hand was forced because my mother-in-law is a brown-headed cowbird(though we still love her). Lucky for us, it was a satisfying meal. I do not recommend coming here on a Sunday in the morning or early afternoon. The place gets so busy that the service inevitably suffers, as it would at any establishment when packed to the brim. Conversely, I love coming here on random weeknights for dinner because there are so few fellow patrons.

DONOT!!! I repeat DONOT get take out from here. Called this morning to place a carry out order. They said 20 minutes, we live 10 minutes away so hubby left five minutes after I called. When he gets there two out of the three orders are ready, he proceeds to wait another 10 minutes for my simple order of eggs and hash browns. Meanwhile, his order and my sons order are sitting in their lobby(where it is cold from the windows and doors) the entire time getting colder and colder. He asked why they don’t keep the orders in the kitchen area where it is warmer while they wait for the entire order to be completed so good doesn’t get cold. «We don’t do it like that here». Really?! You don’t want your customers to be happy when they get home with their food? Thank goodness Bob Evans is right up the street, we will no longer be ordering carry out from here. And don’t even get me started on the mistakes they’ve made on prior orders. Lesson learned IHOP way to lose business.

I have always been a fan of IHOP so once again, i ordered the Garden Omelette with the side of pancakes. As usual, this location was extremely busy but were were seated relatively quickly. Once seated she took our orders and we had our food in no time. This was once again a great visit. There were three of us and all of us had a bank card. Even though the sign said No split checks on weekends, the girl was gracious enough to split our check for us.(while pointing to the sign of course. I will be back again… unless the Crofton location opens before then.

I always order the same thing when I come here, but! One night I ordered a Chicken Florentine Crêpe! It was the best piece of food I’ve ever tasted from IHOP. The service is always great and unless you’re coming in during a holiday, prom season, or a weekend afternoon it’s always pretty empty inside.

I used to come here. In short, wait staff are always friendly, food is prepared in a timely fashion and the restaurant, including the bathroom has always been clean.

I liked this location much more than others I’ve been to in the area. We went on a Wednesday evening, and it was nearly deserted. That meant our server was incredibly prompt, attentive, friendly, and all around amazing. The bathrooms were remarkably clean, too. That’s so rare in an IHOP, but it said a lot to me about their management and perhaps other cleaning practices. The manager was also incredibly friendly. She didn’t hover or anything like that, but it was clear that she paid attention to what was happening with customers and wanted them to have a good impression and experience. Again, this wasn’t my typical IHOP experience at all. The food was solid — you know what you’re getting with an IHOP, so I wasn’t disappointed. I also like that they have kids eat free in the evenings. I’m never against saving a few bucks!

Don’t go to a diner and eat breakfast and come here. You will realize that breakfasts are much better at a diner. Service was fast and friendly. Big Plus that they are 24⁄7. If you don’t have other options, then come on over. Nothing bad, mostly just plain.

The service was the worse. Well let me be more specific. The hostess was nice, greeted us when we came in, the restaurant wasn’t crowded so we were able to be seated right away. All of the waiters and waitresses seem to be college students. Our waitress came right over and took our order. It was 4 of us and we got utensils for 2. Finally I decide to get up and get us 2 more sets of utensils. My son looks at his knife and it’s dirty so that immediately grossed me out. I asked for a cup of boiling hot water and put my utensils in it because at the point I was going a little crazy about the dirty knife. Ok, now to the food. I get my caramel hot chocolate with no caramel syrup on top. I know this may not be a big deal to some but what enticed me to get the hot chocolate was 1) it was cold 2) it looked really good on the menu WITH whip cream and caramel so that is what I was expecting. I understand if they had ran out of caramel or whatever but of course my waitress paid no attention to that because she was busy playing with her co-workers. Food came out hot. My French toast was under cooked. It was mushy and soggy on the inside. The provolone was dropped on the top of my eggs either put in the microwave or under the heat lamp to melt. Not even mixed in my eggs SMH Needless to say my son and I barely ate the French toast. In the meantime our waitress has barely checked on us and we needed refills on our drinks that never came. Again she was too busy playing with her co-workers in front of the kitchen around the corner from where we were sitting. I originally gave this place 1 star but decided to give 2 because the hostess was like a «mom» kind of person and she was nice. The bathroom was clean and so was the restaurant. They really need to train there staff on being professional and mindful of there customers needs.

My favorite server is back from his 1 year hiatus and I’m oh so happy!!! David is the best server, hands down, that I’ve ever encountered. Everyone that comes into this IHOP knows him and he knows them. The customer service from him is extraordinary and my family and I love that he came back! Although, I will say that the majority of the servers that we’ve encountered have been pretty friendly. Besides David, I would come here for the music alone! I’m a big music lover, especially oldies R&B and Soul and the music here makes you want to get up and dance. They have Sirius Radio on the speakers throughout the restaurant, entrance and waiting area. Best music I’ve heard in a while in a restaurant. Now on to the food, what can you say, it’s an IHOP! Clearly the most popular is the pancakes and they are always piping hot and delicious. They also have awesome omelettes, creative beverages and a not too shabby cheese steak. I never come here on a Saturday or Sunday later than 9a.m. because it can get overly crowded. The best time to come is on the weekday or early in the morning on the weekend. It’s clean, you can usually get your food pretty quickly and the wait time for a table is slim to none. I would warn you to stay away from the chicken and waffles though. The chicken was so rock hard, the roof of my mouth was sore for an entire week. I almost thought I was going to chip a tooth while crunching on it. Plus the waffle was pretty bland. No bueno on that particular meal, but usually a good breakfast experience.

Didn’t eat here but visited with a friend that was in the area eating here and I really was glad I already ate. My friend’s friends that ate had issues with their food and the staff was more than lack luster.

I came here once with the Missus to eat breakfast after we realized the line for early voting was a mile long. Since we were out anyway and this place was close to the polling location, we stopped in. It’s OK. It’s an IHOP. It wasn’t very crowded at 8:00am and the service was decent, the food was good and I would definitely come here, again, if I was in the mood for IHOP.
