In the past, we had noticed this place at the main lodge at Boyne Mountain. A little room off to the side with pre-made sandwiches. We had grabbed a quick lunch there when the main cafeteria had been closed. Over the summer, they’ve greatly expanded this place. Now there’s a grill, and freshly made sandwiches. There are tables and chairs out on the sidewalk. No indoor seating. The place was kinda smoky inside. They had burned something earlier(oops!) but the sandwiches coming out of the kitchen looked just fine. The service was very friendly, but slow. They’re just gearing up, so I expect that they’ll have their act together by the time the big crowds arrive for Christmas vacation. Our sandwich, a tuna panini with lettuce, was large enough to share. The bread had deep panini grill marks. Very good! The sandwiches are named after the ski runs at Boyne Mountain. Clever. This place also has wine, little booze bottles, and full-size booze bottles. You can get sliced lunch meat and cheese, crackers and trail mix. Picnic food. Headache pills & cough drops. I needed cough drops because of the smoke. They were also supplying Thanksgiving dinners out of this location. So this place is not just a lunch stop, it’s also a grocery store /deli for people staying in the condos. Glad to see this addition to the offerings at the Mountain. Look for it near the base of the big six-chair express lift at Boyne Mountain.
