Food flat out rocks. Was a reg. at former locations when we lived in Boynton but made trip down from Wellington tonight and it tasted like we were there yesterday. Pizza crust is the best… just like a NY bagel. crunchy, yet soft on inside. Wife had chicken parm. and enjoyed it. Diced garlic on the rolls were heavenly. Great seeing Basil & Mary again. Place was packed as always, but only a 10 – 12 min. wait, if that. Bottled beer was iced cold. paired well with the pie. We keep telling ourselves when we leave that we shouldn’t go so long in between visits. You will enjoy!

My frustrations with Massimo’s continue. If the pizza wasn’t significantly better than Papa Johns, I would not order from there. Staff are generally pretty stand-offish. They make a lot of mistakes on orders. Ordered half pepperoni and onion, the other half cheese — got pepperoni on one half, onion on the other half. My children loved neither the onions or pepperoni.

EPICFAIL! Shame on you for the food you served tonight. The portions were the same as the kids the pasta not AL dente but just plain under cooked. The scraps of veal and uncooked pasta were equivalent to a TV dinner from Jenny craig. I can’t tell you the level of disappointment I received coming here tonight especially after just getting of the plane from NY. The chicken marsala or so th ey called it … was mushroom stock water. just royally disappointed this evening. The bread was equivalent to… man I don’t know what but whomever is in the kitchen is NOT Italian and had never had decent Italian food that didn’t come from a diner in Oklahoma or a iowa cafeteria. BIGDISAPPOINTMENT ! Even the kids food was just embarrassing shame on you

We went with a large group; pre-paid & planned weeks in advance. The food was OK; nothing spectacular. There were several wait staff for the group, but it was still a little disorganized. There was poor timing getting the food out of the kitchen, with some people waiting almost a half hour after others received their food. There were none of the disasters I’ve seen in other reviews, but there was nothing to rave about either.

I’ve been ordering periodically from this restaurant for several years. I must admit, it is because they are local and they deliver. It is not unusual that they will mix up an order. You can get sausage and peppers instead of veal and peppers. My biggest pet peeve is the side salad for the subs, they never drain what goes into the salad; water from the cheese and/or roasted pepper, and you can get quite a puddle of water which water logs the bread. So, I always ask that the side salad NOT be included. Well, once again the order was wrong and the bread on the subs was squishy with water. I called to report this, and the owner answered the phone. I didn’t even get a few words out, I didn’t demand anything, I didn’t even ask for anything. Rude doesn’t even come close to describing his manner. He raised his voice and argued that it wasn’t on the order. And then he got the order and agreed that NOT including the salad was indeed listed on the order and amazingly continued to yell and argue. He was actually yelling that it was their mistake. I have to admit, arguing with someone who agrees with what you are saying, did have me baffled so, I hung up. Then he calls me back, to continue to yell and argue. WT??? So if you want ok food, about a 50⁄50 chance of getting your order correct, and water logged bread, topped with a rude owner; this would be the place to go. I’ll never go back.

I love this place for an easy dinner with my family or a date night. The ambiance is nice but still welcoming for families with young kids. We love the pizza and the price is great! Homemade garlic rolls included with your meal. All the pasta dishes are huge portions and some of the best Italian food you’ll find anywhere. Can’t beat the happy hour prices :) we will keep coming back for more!

Uch !!! This is not pizza. My 9yo said it tastes worse then ketchup on white bread. The cheese falls off the crust. Crappy cheese. Soggy gross mess. Go to mamma Mia express. In a pinch your better getting a frozen pizza at publix.

After moving to the area, we tried this place several times for take out pizza and twice for dine-in. Our repeat visits were only because the restaurant is a half mile from the house. We won’t be ordering more pizza as our teens vetoed the crust. When we dined in we tried baked ravioli, chicken Marsala, lasagna, etc. The food was mediocre and the service was awful. The garlic rolls are their best item and they ran out the last time we were there. We are giving up and now we drive 5 miles further to Delray marketplace when we want to eat out.

It has been several years since we ate at Massimos. We had been to two previous locations in Boynton Beach over the years; but went to other Italian restaurants that were closer. This Massimos is in a very nice location and is good looking restaurant. The parking in this shopping center can be a challenge; but it is worth it. After reading some of the reviews on Unilocal,I was concerned about trying Massimos again; but I am glad I did. The garlic rolls and salad were very good, especially the thick blue cheese dressing. My wife had the best Veal Francese she has had in a long time. She normally needs to ask for lemons, since most places don’t have enough in the dish. She was thrilled with it and we will be back, if for nothing else, more Francese dishes. When I go to a new restaurant, I like to try the staples to see how they do, so I got Chicken Parm. It was very good and a huge portion, so I will have chicken parm again tonight. The service from everyone was very prompt and friendly. We have found another Italian restaurant that we will be going to regularly.

Awful awful awful. The food is so bland. The owner is rude, and they had zero clue on what service is. Avoid it at all costs. This place is so bad

Best pizza around. Family run and very reasonable prices. Their new location is much better and service is fine despite the rude New Yorkers who complain.

The garlic rolls are amazing. They use REAL pepperoni(not dyed) on their pizzas. The cannolies are freshly made to order. Prices are reasonable and sitting at the bar, service was great not sure why all the bad reviews, must be the customers attitudes. The owners are always there if you have a problem, talk with them!!! Ps we are from Michigan and usually eat at home because we like fresh ingredients not from Cisco or Gordons foods.

I’m very conflicted over this place. The food is amazing. Superb. Best garlic rolls I may have ever had. However, the service is slower than molasses. Even for take out, it takes forever and a day to get your food. If you want good food and you have over an hour and a half to kill on your meal, then go here, the food will not disappoint! If you are in somewhat of a rush, move on, you will never get your food in a reasonable amount of time.

I find them very nice to order from and I enjoy their delivery service. Their food is good quality, well spiced, and always comes hot.

Food would be tolerable if the management was more professional. Horrible service and worse customer service.

I had two bad experiences at their old location between the turnpike and Chevron, east of where they are now. So I have not eaten at the Canyon location. It would be convenient, but I don’t want to deal with that woman who used to take the take out orders. I think she was an owner. Poor customer service. I was a regular costumer placing the same order on the same day of the week every week. She gives me someone else’s order and tells me that’s what I ordered. I always order the same thing and she was arguing with me TELLINGME what I ORDERED. She would not correct the order and I went home empty handed and in shock. Prior to the No Pizza for You finale. We dined in and signed the credit card bill without reviewing it. Once home we realized it was a lot more than it should have been. We called and they read what we had been billed for. They claimed we had been sitting at the bar and had eaten and drank things we did not have. We listed what we did have in a booth They said they would call us back. In the mean time we called the credit card company. Massimos claimed they accidentaly charged the wrong check to our card. I can understand mistakes happen, but we found out from the credit card company that both checks had been billed to our card. I was surprised with their lack of customer service they were able to open a bigger place. I found multiple better places so I don’t miss them.

Let’s start by: The place is well decorated. Unfortunately that’s the best we can say. The food is not quality Italian anf you’ve ever been to any part of NYC, this isn’t what you’re looking for… by far. The service is HORRIBLE! We went with another couple and not one of us liked our meal. My friend ordered one dish and got something else. When he told the server«I didn’t order parm, I ordered marsalla» he was told that he was wrong, that he did order marsalla. The owner came over and told my friend he wasn’t welcome back because he lied to the server. What an idiot!!! A. We all heard him order & B. He’s an Audiologist and professor at a well known University. He can order Italian, in Italian! Our suggestion, find a real Italian resturant with a friendly staff and an owner with a good business sense and pleasant attitude..

Massimo’s is a family-style Italian pizzeria/restaurant that caters to both families and seniors. The owners proudly originate from Brooklyn, NY and if you miss NY-style pizza, this is the place to go! Massimo’s is on the south side of Boynto Beach Blvd just east of Florida’s Turnpike. Once you figure out how to get in,(turn onto Enterprise Center Way(at the Chevron Station), turn left onto Enterprise Center Blvd(behind the Chevron Station) make a right just past TJ Gators(which is closed) and then a left to get to the restaurant. We’ve been there for lunch(once) and dinner several times and have not been disappointd by eiher the food or service.
