West Boynton Beach Branch Library

Libraries usually remind me of well old used bookstores if you remember them growing up. If you have never been to a used bookstore well you are out of luck. I don’t think any exist at this point in time and most probably you were born not so long ago.
This library has almost everything you would be looking for. I usually only get travel related books and they have plenty of them.
Now if they don’t usually you can locate from another library within the region.
Libraries have become automated and this one has kept up with the times. They send you emails about when your books loaned out are up for return and options for renewal.
Guess Mr. Bookman must be more relaxed compared to a couple of decades ago

Great first impression! I recently moved here from another county, and this was my first visit to a county library in Palm Beach. Loved it! This location was pleasant in every way — clean, inviting, good selection, friendly/​knowledgeable staff. I look forward to returning.

2015, you say? Age of the digital world: books online in any format necessary etc. But, there is something amazing and simple as turning the pages of a book which makes me want to enjoy reading even more.
I love libraries and always have. This library is no exception except for the librarians can smile alittle. I have said hi and how are you to a few while checking out books and they give a sourpuss face and say fine. But are they really that sad working there?
Anyways, the point is this library is very conveniently located near my house, it has a great selection of books, if your book gets late it’s only 10 cents late charge every day (oh boy it will break my bank account), their children reading program and section looks adorable if you have kids, they have 10 computers if you need to use them, they have comfy chairs to sit on, they have 2 – 3 private group rooms if you want to meet with a few people for a school project and I really like the return machine which zaps up your book (video on my Unilocal account).
Overall great library! I go to get travel books when we are going somewhere. It’s always good to see where to go what to do. I usually just do the self check out so I don’t have to deal with the librarians.

This library has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! I had to print out some boarding passes and because I forgot my library card I was designated to 2 computers that were in use at the time. Had to wait 15 minutes. I wanted to check out a book and because I didn’t have my card, I wasn’t allowed to. With all the seniors in Florida, some of us
are forgetful, wouldn’t you think they would have a more lenient policy. Can’t you just look up my name and check out a book for me? Really? I did not leave happy.

We absolutely LOVE story time! The children’s area is full of puzzles, learning toys, and of course tons of books. It’s an excellent morning out with the little ones. Story time has singing, dancing, colors, numbers, reading and all the kids love to participate and socialize with each other.

I’ve been here three times so far. The first time was to vote. That was not fun standing in line for 3 hours and having the elderly people in front of me try to change my mind before putting in my vote. To each their own. The last two times were for story time. My son is growing like a weed and it’s a fun time for him to explore new things while checking out the other little ones as well. They have a separate room for the story time. It’s actually nice since little ones can be unpredictable and squeal when they have fun. It’s very clean and the staff is friendly. I plan to go here a lot when he gets older as well. Gotta build up those brain cells with books, books, and more books :)

This library has a decent kids’ section and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful!
