There are a few things on the buffet I do not care for but most of the buffet is awesome !!! Some of the things I do like are the fried flounder, fried chicken, slaw, french fries strawberry shortcake. I used to try and eat as much as I could hold but I don’t eat that much now. The Senior Buffet on Mondays is a great deal for $ 6.32 including tax if you drink water. I will be there most Mondays. The staff are very nice people from what I have seen since the reopening on February 3, 2016. You can also get some cheap gas if you are coming from North Carolina. That is another bonus !!!

Definitely not. Almost all the vegetables are canned. The service was okay. Otherwise, a huge disappointment.

There’s nothing like good southern cooking. And this was nothing like it. Very old food, miss-labelled; the staff was very nice, however. We ate them.

Nice atmosphere & old setting. A good attempt but it falls short in so many areas. Needs a food handlers and health course. Cold BBQ ribs & chicken. Warm macaroni & cheese, peas, cornbread, rolls. Crab cake was void of taste & seasonings. Too many flies & never ever sweep around the buffet table. A hit that really missed!

This is a really great place to eat at. Plenty of selections to choose from. You have a nice variety from chicken, ribs, shrimp, crab cakes and more in meats. You have macaroni, corn, greens etc. Plenty of deserts to choose from. You can’t find a better buffet for your dollar

This is not a great restaurant, but it endears itself to me. If you’re on I-85 you should go here. It’s good Carolina BBQ sandwiches.

Bad implementation of a really good idea. I’m pretty sure there’s no smoker in the back. This a buffet style restaurant. The pork barbecue was dry and barely over room temperature. The barbecue chicken was swimming in a tray of broth(ish) liquid, with little to no actual barbecue sauce on it. No sandwich sized buns were available to make a barbecue sandwich, but dinner rolls and cornbread were. Only two bottles of barbecue sauce were available, and they were on a shared table. No condiments to speak of on individual tables. There was a diverse selection of offerings, but none of it looked any good, and after tasting the barbecue and the barbecued chicken, I really wasn’t interested in any more experiments. Overall, the place appeared to be clean and sanitary. Staff was toothless and friendly.

My daughter was with visiting my MIL in VA. We always meet at Exit 4(halfway point for the both of us). She got there before me today and called me, asking if I was hungry because there was a new restaurant across from the gas station. I said sure! We went over there, and so glad we did. It was so delicious! The fried chicken, the best ever. There were so many choices to chose from. Everything we sampled seemed to be homemade, and so good! There was turkey and dressing, meatloag, Pulled pork, a great salad bar and so much more! They were super busy, but the wait staff was so nice and filled our drinks as needed. We will most definitely go there again when we are in the area.

I was in town and we decided to stop here for a quick bite to eat, since we were rushing we decided to take it to go. They have a buffet and you just take whatever you want to eat. Options anywhere from desserts, pasta, salad, BBQ, chicken, fish. Everyone was really nice and the price wasn’t so bad.

Awesome food. Everything you would want for a good southern meal. BBQ, Chicken, Ribs, Fish, and ALL the fixings!
