As far as saloon’s go, it doesn’t get much better than the Hanging Tree. Please do not mistake this 5 star rating as an all-​around great place for everyone. The Hanging Tree is a saloon, metal roof, smoking allowed, live country music and swinging saloon doors.
I’ve been here a few times and everyone (staff and clientele) are friendly. The most recent visit, drinks are reasonable, bucket of 6 Lonestars was $ 14 and there was a $ 5 because there was a band, The Countrymen.
If you’re lucky enough to visit on a weekend they’re having any one of their cook-​offs (chili or BBQ) you’ve hit the jackpot.

Johnson City, TN
The beers are small but cheap and the bartender is friendly. A couple of TVs so you don’t miss the game, live music, and pool tables. The only drawback is that the cowboys are a little older and pudgier than what most single gals are looking for.
