What an amazing under discovered Venue. Doug Deming band played tonight and were amazing! Where on earth is the packed house? We love ACES!

This place is absolutely awesome for live bands, check their schedule often. Service at the bar is good, service on the floor is often horrible. So go to the bar and get your drink and sit down for some great music. Enjoy

New restaurant inside aces, Cucina Pazzo, Chef Joe has brought the flavor of Italy back. He uses only fresh ingredients and a made from scratch kitchen approach. Unbelievable approach to Italian cuisine in its finest form, he’s hit a home run, fantastic best Italian in town by far, also has has burgers, wings and hand tossed pizzas, the spot to eat, live music 6 days a week

this place is our fav bradenton bar !!! friendly staff and crowd. food is to die for mmmm !!! baked beans(getting my shoes on!) unique! and the smoked dry rubbed ribs omg!(compliments to the chef! well done) awesome atmosphere! i heard it was a old barn that was hauled down some where a lil north of here not sure, still in the south. still have yet to check out the bands, some times i guess there is cover, sometimes not. bar tenders are so on it they always have a calandar to assist us with for the following events. relaxed tiki barout side, like margarita ville… coconut head carved pirates and shipwrecked décor. inside is a dark smoky blues feel & country rockin rollish flavor to it ! with a decent sized stage, lots of seating, pool tabels, upstairs and downstairs. the upstairs over looks the entire down stairs, for a great over view of the playing bands and crowd! cant go wrong even on a slow night. ! check it out !

They have a new menu, I think Ron(cook) is no more there .no more meatballs, eggplant parm. or grouper. I had a Chesse steak, was nothing special, my Wifa a salad, was ok. probablywont go there anymore to eat. music shows still good.

The Selwyn Birchwood band played fantastic. Unfortunately our waitress Cindy was not very attentive and seemed to be hard of hearing and suffering from tunnel vision. It was almost impossible to get her attention. The food was mediocre. We were told that their chef had retired a few days ago so perhaps the new chef was still figuring things out. One person of our party send their pizza back because it was doughy while another person in our party got undercooked pasta. Next to that we did not get the food at the same time and one person had to eat by himself since he got the food 45 minutes after everybody was done. Don’t go there for the food but just go there for drinks and music and order at the bar so you won’t be disappointed.

Wow — the food here is absolutely ridiculous. Started with a house salad and knew from that point on that there was something going on here that belied the smoky, dilapidated interior — how about some great Italian food. We had Shrimp in a white garlic sauce and a Pizza — both were fabulous. A cannoli to finish was also very good. Can’t say enough about the food, this from an Italian couple from Boston accustomed to eating in the North End. The service from our Bartender was also great. Chilled Captains came out perfectly, and she certainly looked after us nicely. This is a great find for those that love really good Italian.

Aces Lounge is the premier Bradenton music venue. Now I know that’s like saying the tallest midget in the room, but hey it’s local and they do get good bands often. I always have a good time there and the music is always good.(Well maybe not Wednesday from what I heard). Whether I like the music(which I almost always do) or if I don’t(like maybe on that Wed?) Aces delivers. I give the venue 5 stars for it’s sake, not if I enjoyed the music a certain night. Aces is aces with me.

Good blues bar. Tip for n00bs. Look at the Calendar, then youtube the bands playing ahead of time. That way, you’ll watch a blues band you enjoy!

*NOTE* Review is for Wednesday night Open Blues Jam only, not anything else concerning the bar, food or staff. DONOTGOIFYOUWANTTOSEE/HEAR GOODBLUESMUSICWEDNESDAYNIGHTS First off I’ve been hitting this supposedly ‘open’ blues jam two times a year for the past 5 years on my vacation and every time is the same lame experience. I only give it the benefit of the doubt due to my family’s desire to see me perform. Now, as for the paltry amateurs that run this«jam». The night is run by a different knucklehead every other Wednesday, that’s 2 knuckleheads if you’re counting, and as a very seasoned professional musician, this may work on some level but it leaves a lot to be desired as the formula for an open jam is actually pretty regimented and requires a certain amount of rules and discipline. Ok I’m still not on point yet, here goes. Every time I go, keep in mind my schedule, I see the same lame players. There are a couple of them that are good but their pretentious self centered approach is tasteless. There is a very bad smell of cronyism here so much so it should be called a circle jerk and not an open jam. Start with ‘closed jam’ than go from there. They have a list for you to put your name on, normal, but they never call you! Hello? Are you kidding? This is the serious nature of their mistake. They have a list, you put your name down, and they NEVER call your name! Do you get it? What will happen is the same deal with this rude crew and will end up bringing up each of their friends to play crappy hour long jams of 1−4−5 trad hack blues. Insanely boring unless you’re one of the completely inebriated locals that seem to be the norm in this stuck between two wealthy jewels of FLA powhunk town. Here’s the bottom line, either they suck completely on all levels(my theory) or it’s a scam to get unknowingly, good musicians in there hoping to play, drink a bunch of drinks while waiting(thinking) their name will be called and their turn will come. From what I’ve heard from some of the drunk locals is exactly what you’ll realize, this blues Jam sucks, holds the bottom of the barrel down pat and the others that populate the other weekdays around town are much, much better. Aces Wednesday Night Blues Jam… dead to me.

Usually get good bands there. It can be hit or miss. But I would say 7 out of 10 times entertainment is good.
