FIFI’S Fine Resale Apparel and Furniture

I came to this place to find a dinning room table. I found some tall ceramics candle holders thAt I wanted to buy. I was waiting for the lady at the register to finish her phone call to ask her the price. I over heard her talking about the ceramic candle holders with the owner stating that they have been in the store since last January and still haven’t sold. She told her if she would like to come pick them up or donate them. After she finished her call I approached her and asked her how much they were that I was interested in buying them. In a mean ignorant tone she told me they were being donated now. I’m pretty sure the owner would have liked the lady to call her back and tell her she had someone interested in buying them. So rude and this place is expensive by the way.

I have been in my share of upscale establishments where general snobbery prevails… I wear many «hats» in my day to day life. Apparently you are immediately judged by appearance at Fifi’s. Being that I was on the go and dressed in a ballcap and sneakers rather than in heels and carrying a Coach, I was not acknowledged at all even though I entered the store before any other customers and stood right next to the clerk. (Lordy I hope this was not the owner) Just minutes after being ignored for a pianful legnth of time, two other customers entered at which time the sales associate leaped into action and proceeded to explain all of the sales for the day and followed them around the store assisting them intently. If you are the owner or manager of this store here is some advice for you. You are a complete fool for thinking you can guess my age and/​or intent to buy based on my casual attire. Shame on you for assuming you can. You missed out on a nice sale! I will never be back.

They have some decent items, but the staff leaves a lot to be desired! There are 2 stores at this strip mall location just a few doors apart from one another. I’ve been there 3 different times and the one store has not been open due to staffing issues, BUT the sister store had 3 staff members working two of the times I was there and 4 on the last time. I wanted to see an item in the other store but was told they couldn’t leave the current store to show me anything. Really? They had the ability to do so (I asked), but «can’t leave the current store understaffed». Seriously? I was the only one in the store, so after 3 TIMES of trying to get into the other store, I gave up. I did, however, find something in the store that was open, but wanted to bring my husband back that night to see it. I forgot to look at their hours, so I pulled it up on the Internet which said every day, except Sunday, until 6:00 pm. So, I/​we made the 32 mile round trip back for the 4^th time!!! Arrived at 5:05 pm. CLOSED!!! I was exasperated, but the piece was visible through the window and my husband really liked it. We spotted 2 employees inside who came to the door and who remembered me. I told them about the error in posted hours on the web and they rudely said that was only for their LWR store. I told them the stores were all listed separately with the hours and this store said 6:00 pm. They said I mis-​read it. Whatever… geez! (for the record, I did NOT mis-​read it and is still posted incorrectly today). I asked if they wanted to sell a $ 600 piece now since I had come back for the 4^th time, etc. etc., but they just said «no». No further commentary or explanation from them. I was shocked! We all know a store can make a sale after registers are closed if they want to. It’s very simple, but not these people. So, I guess 4 poor experiences IS their standard level of «service»…if you can call it that. I will NEVER shop at any of these stores again. I feel sorry for the individuals who are counting on Fi Fi’s to sell their goods!!!
