A hole in the wall on the outside and needs renovation on the inside, but the food was truly good. Well above the average. Typically, a mom and pop diner does one or two things on the plate well, but then ruins the whole experience with an awful side, salad or greens. That did not happen here. Everything presented was truly done well. The biscuits were so good, they should serve two. Order an extra one. It is worth it. Do not expect much in the way of scenery, or beautiful people, but if there for the food, you will be happy. Prices are also very reasonable. They had several specials running.

Multiple co-workers have approached me about Fiona’s, stating claims like, «they have the best soul food in the area.» Pppfffft! There are zero reviews out there about the place… but, for Oneco that is typical. So, I tricked another friend from work into going with me. We were the only people dining under the age of eighty. The food tasted like a Banquet frozen meal that had been taken apart and reheated. With the chicken re-fried. Canned everything, pre-fab side dishes and gravy. Canned collards greens? Seriously? A step below the Winn-Dixie hot bar, complete with roll. The only pluses are that the sweet tea is decent and they serve you REAL butter for your rolls. The prices are about $ 5.99 for lunch, but they seem to be more of a breakfast all day place. But, why go here when there are really good Mexican and Latin American restaurants to try in the area for the same price? Oh well, got that experience out of the way— on to better things. I ate at Fiona’s, so you don’t have to.

Fionas. What a shame. The food is good, if you can get served. The arrogance of the owners is shocking. Friends of ours went in one recent Saturday and waited 40 minutes for their coffee/water. Then they waited another 45 minutes for their food to be delivered. When one of the diners mentioned it to the owner she said(are you ready for THIS??) «we’re always busy, there are other restaurants». Seriously? He decided she was correct and won’t go back. We went in two weeks ago — sat down and got our coffee order quickly, the waitress was new and clearly nervous. We placed our order and waited and waited and waited. We asked about 20 minutes in and were told by «they’re working on it», another 15 minutes passed and she said she didn’t know what the problem was. Another 20 minutes and we were out the door — without breakfast. Arrogance of this magnitude will, I’m certain, ensure that Fiona’s isn’t «always busy» in the future.
