We’re in town visiting family and they brought us here for dinner last night. The only GOOD thing about this restaurant is their 2 For 1 drinks during Happy Hour which is from 11am-6:30pm every day. The bartender made a decent Jack and Coke. I ordered the garlic parmesan sirloin(medium) with a side of fries and onion rings. The wife got a five piece boneless wing basket tossed in a piná colada sauce and an order of fried pickles. The food came out relatively quickly, the waitress was really nice, but the food was pretty bad. My steak was barely cooked let alone cooked to «medium», the knife they provided to cut it was so dull, it took quite a while to cut through it. It was also very fatty, but the flavor itself was good, had it been cooked properly, I think it would have been more enjoyable. The onion rings were clearly from the freezer, they were almost exactly what you’d get from Burger King, but not as good. The fries were ok, lacking salt or any seasoning, and they were all soggy from the garlic butter sauce they used on my steak. As for the wife’s meal, she got her food at the same time as the rest of us, as she was finishing her 5 boneless wings, they brought out another basket with 6 more wings in it! So weird, it wasn’t asked for, they just brought them out. The fried pickles were horrible, they were incredibly greasy and salty! Definitely would not go here again or recommend it to anyone unless they’re looking for cheap drinks and a decent bar atmosphere.

I have no sympathy for restaurants that can’t make decent food. Serving sizes were awkwardly small, even for the price. Shrimp skewers aren’t served over a bed of rice, and you can only pick one side for $ 11.99? Who made this menu? Not to mention the rice was hard and undercooked. I asked for fries in exchange. Like I said, I have no sympathy for the owner or the cooks or the management. The only people I felt bad for were the servers who had to deliver such poor quality food. No one cares about how many sauces your menu has if you can’t cook rice and season your food properly. I recommend you change your menu, increase portion sizes, relearn how to cook rice and actually taste the food you have been serving.

For those of you that haven’t been to hurricane, it’s a «Floribean» restaurant to its core, very tropical and beach themed with a menu that’s a little southern, a little latin, and a little Caribbean. I started off with the hurricane nachos, then had their Cuban sandwich. I enjoyed both very much, the bartender rob told me about how they get their bread from La Segunda bakery in Tampa, which is very cool to me because I used to live only 2 blocks from that place. The place was pretty quite because I came in toward the end of the night but this gave the manger(Mike or Matt I think) the chance to have a short conversation with me. I let him know i enjoyed my meal, though I did poke a little fun at their expense for not having Salami on the Cuban sandwich lol come on man! It’s not a Cuban without salami! Bradenton is right down the road from Tampa I’m surprised they got that wrong. All in all great experience, I’ll be back the next time I’m in manatee county.

Pecan Chicken salad had no pecans, very few cranberries, the lettuce very limp. Mahi, Mahi fish tacos not made with fresh fish, guacamole wasn’t fresh. Just terrible… again. No more chances. Chef Ramsey would be appalled! I recommend avoiding this restaurant although our waitress was great.

Went on a Wednesday. Ordered the flavor sampler wings for $ 20. The server failed to mention it was all you can eat wings Wednesday for $ 13 and charged me the full $ 20. Our appetizers and sides weren’t very good. The wings were good and my girlfriend had the pulled pork quesodilla which was also good. The service was extremely poor which was consistent from the first time we went there. Doubtful we will go back.

Service was horrendous. Simply put. Ended up leaving before they could bring the drinks. Many other options that will want to serve you. Not make you feel like they are doing you a favor by serving you. Saturday March 5th2016

Flavors for their wings are so diverse and they are good! They will give you samples of anything you want to try first, which is great. I love there«bowls», salads and boneless wings. There wait staff is friendly and efficient as well. The only thing I would criticize is the price. I think it’s a bit expensive for what it is.

First time here… I was not impressed at all by the food. French fries were cold and hard. The honey bbq wings didn’t really taste like honey bbq. The fried pickles were just so/so. BUT anyways… It’s 2:30 in the morning now and my husband and I are both SICK. I would not eat there again. Thanks Hurricanes. P. S the waitstaff was great though.

Well I see why the overall rating was 3 stars because that is almost correct. 3 stars being a C, but I think our overall food quality was a C minus. My wife ordered a steak and I didn’t try a bite until after I ate my fish and chips(which I thought was ok) and after eating a piece of her steak, I guess better than my wife’s order because her steak was very bland. Definitely not marinated and tasted freshly microwave defrosted. The waitress was very good though which contradicts the other reviewers. Overall, we were not impressed and not sure if we will return very soon or at all. Oh yeah we ordered wings appetizer and I liked the sauce but the wings were too crispy(overcooked) for a wing place. I originally gave this place 3 stars but after talking it over with my wife thought 3 stars was too high and lowered it down to 2 stars.

Finally made the trip way out Cortez to try this place. It was ok, had the blackened dry rub and also garlic parm. Also had the garlic parm fries. Service was good. If I’m in the area I would try it again but wouldn’t make the 10 mile drive from my house just for them.

Went back again last night to watch some baseball. Staff was friendly and attentive. $ 13.99 All You Can Eat Wings and $ 3 drafts — needless to say, I’m becoming a regular.

Wow. What a crap shoot. And I crapped out. Went there for lunch on a Friday. Should have known when I pulled in at 12:15 and the place was empty, that this was going to be bad. First they sat me in a secluded corner table not even a booth. Then the server was horrible. Rude and pushy. Never came back to fill up my drink. Now to the food. Nothing fresh. Everything was prepackaged and frozen. Had to basically beg for extra sauces. It’s a shame because this seems like a place with great potential but lacks direction and proper management. The manager actually walked around but didn’t performs table touch at my table. I did notice that he keeps a cigarette behind his ear though. Nasty. But once the waitress dropped the check she hovered over my table like a buzzard. She should probably do that before hand. Will never return. Service sucked. Food was a disappointment.

Too bad Leeroy Selmans shut down. this place is only worth going to for a beer and watching the game. I got a burger which was average to say the least, and a side salad that came out with the burger instead of befor. The service was pretty horrible and I won’t go back. I don’t recommend this place.

Wow. Passing through Bradenton on a regular business trip route and saw a shiny new sign on a new place. Bored of the regular routine, I stopped in. It was late for lunch hour on a Thursday, but the joint was jumping. Which is usually a good sign. Friendly staff showed our group to our table right behind the fishing boat transom feature in the front of the restaurant. Very cool menu with a wide range of interesting choices and, of course, chicken wings. Who knew anyone could think up so many freakin’ different sauces?! We broke up our orders so that we could try about 20 different sauces. Very cool to customize your wings like this. Also ordered loaded nachos, fried pickles and a very good grilled fish sandwich. All food came quickly and the server was very attentive(forgot her name, but she had a great smile). Will definitely come back. Planning to bring my fantasy football and bowling buddies to watch games on the many flat screen TVs all over the place. Will definitely be back soon.

Skip it. Not sure where to go for wings, but this isn’t it. They were over-done, chips were as close to burnt as they could be without actually being blackened. Fish tacos were tough and lacking the actual fish. But hey, the water was cold! Friends said they had a good experience here already, so I’ll give them another shot — but I won’t like having to go back.

This new restaurant had me excited. When you walk in the place looks nice and pretty clean over all. A look over the menu, and I am even more excited. The see the beer taps… yep they have Guinness on tap! Oh yes my new regular place! Unfortunately this is where the great times stop. Pros: Nice menu Clean dining area Nice waitress Cons: All of the fried foods were super greasy obviously the temps are off in the fryer. The Guinness was poured wrong so it ended being flat. They brought out the chicken sandwich it had mayo… No biggy, ask them to correct it. When it comes back they have swapped out the bottom bun, but guess what? That’s right, still mayo on the bottom of the piece of chicken. The fish, aside from being greasy was completely unseasoned. It claimed to be beer battered but it had absolutely no flavor. The bartender was eating at the bar while talking to customers with her mouth full. Gross in addition she had her purse sitting on the back of the bar the whole time we were there. The hostess came over to the bar and got a couple of olives to eat at the front door. Obviously the management has a lot of work to do. In summation, don’t waste your time. The dinner was $ 40 for less than average food. Skip it and head anywhere else.

Wait staff are attentive and sweet. This use to be a Lee Roy Selmon restaurant and the seating hasn’t changed-which is fine because it’s good booths and tables. Food is probably worse than when it was a Selmon restaurant. We had fried pickles and didn’t realize the pickles would be the smallest pickle chips ever made. Since they were so small, I can’t tell you if they tasted good. We, also, had the mahi mahi fish dip. The fish dip was tasty. It was served with tortilla chips, jarred jalapeños, chopped tomatoes and lettuce. While the fish dip was good, I thought the presentation with these items weird. I had grilled skewered shrimp and it arrived looking like it was partly raw and cooked in the microwave. The salted caramel cheesecake was very, very good. I can’t recommend.

So disappointing. Newly opened you’d think staff would briefly explain menu or at least give us a menu and why is it so bright in here… is anyone in charge no manager presence hope things improve

I wanted to like this place, I really did. I love wings. These were meh. BUT! They have Guinness on tap, so that’s a plus. The worst part of the experience though, was the server. She was completely out of it. Forgot my friends drink, then brought the complete wrong one. After that we didn’t see her for a long time. Another friend ordered some specialty drink made with beer and bloody mary mix that was godawful… the whole table tried it and agreed. Both times, a manager remedied it. I’ll try again cuz I’m hoping its just new opening growing pains. But not great so far.

Food was acceptable. Service was lacking, the wait staff seemed young and aggressive. One server actually pulled our server away from our table while we were ordering our food. Unacceptable. Had the garlic parm hot wings. Great garlic flavor, not hot, at all. Burger was good and sides were decent. Overall not too impressed, sure do miss Lee Roy Selmons.
