Worth Checking Out! We stopped in to have lunch and were very surprised as to how good the food was. The Turkey Reuben had some very good sauerkraut(tasted like cabbage that had a quick pickling on it) and the fries were very hot & tasted great. Also had a Mocha Cobb Salad that was very good, fresh, and cold. They even used real bacon as opposed to bacon-bits. Had unsweet tea to drink and it was even good. We will go back.

Clean, fast, attentive staff, and uplifting attitudes – my husband and I went in for coffee(I can’t do dairy and they have almond milk!) but it looked like a great place for brunch! I wasn’t watching what I was doing and I spilled my large cappuccino all over our table and the barista, Trevor, totally diffused the situation(I felt horrible…) and he didn’t skip a beat in helping us clean our things up and whipping up a new delicious cappuccino. What a gent. All in all, great place, I’d make it a regular stop if we lived here.

Pretty good. They have a coffee place next door that makes good ice coffee. The food was really good, grits, not so much. But we love this place!

I used to live in Bradenton so I know the area. Worked as a chef for years so here goes. Don’t be fooled by the quiet strip mall location. This is a diamond in the rough. Joe marries his coffee/pastry skills with excellent fare in the restaurant. He served us the mocha coffee barista-style. Rich full coffee is essential for a good mocha and he has it! We ordered the Belgian waffle-crispy and hot! The sausage and bacon were perfect– meaty with not a trace of grisle. Talk about ambience? Foodie antiques, tin lunch boxes with vintage music playing bring you back to the good olé days. One of the best meals I’ve ever had.

An above-average, spot for locals and visitors who want to eat where locals do. Friendly and attentive servers and the manager frequently circulates to get feedback too. Tasty diner-style food is tasty, but not fancy. A good value. Pastries, sometimes as a free dessert, a real plus.

Joe’s has come a long way from a year ago. We frequently go for late breakfast or lunch with friends. Good salads and wraps, or better yet, omelets. Service is very good with a smile. My favorite is a decent size cappuccino.

Wonderful little café not too loud with lots of dining space. Wonderful staff and a delicious assortment of standard and specialized coffees. Purchased a Andys Mint Mocha Frappé. No overload of food coloring, you can actually taste the coffee and the Andys Mints! Radical! Better pricing than Starbucks, if I’m in the area will be back.

I was actually pleasantly surprised with this place. The staff was amazingly friendly. And the food was a solid home cooking type food for my breakfast. The reason I deducted the one star: corn beef hash from a can. If you are going to offer it make it. It is not that hard. I didn’t get it because I always ask. It is just a pet peeve of mine. If I wanted canned corn beef I could have stayed at home. I did get the country fried steak which was pretty good and the hash browns I added gravy and onions to were really good. All in all I will stop back. Free wifi no rush and a friendly staff. Please please get away from the canned corn beef hash

Really cool spot. I’ve lived in the area and never knew about it but it’s perfect. Lots of character and genuine staff. I personally want to give it a makeover but the aesthetics don’t take away from quality of food and service. I ordered the Blackstone Benedict(no bacon of course). It was delicious. Definitely recommend this place!

Really good place for dirty chai lattes and other coffee drinks. The benedicts are also great. I would give it 5 stars, but we have had a couple of experiences where things have been forgotten or orders have been messed up. The staff is so friendly though that it is hard to fault them on a mistake. Plus whatever they bring ends up being tasty so it would be a shame to waste. Recently we found that it has been discovered as a breakfast spot so we try and avoid peak hours.

This establishment is certainly a gem. We wish we had a few more days to try some of their other selections. Highly recommend for coffee and breakfast. Bakery items looked awesome and made in house. Entire staff was very welcoming.

I would give them a 2.5 if I could. This place doesn’t look like much from the outside or once you get inside. It could use a good cleaning. There is dust on the shelves(on the bottom) that looks like they took the knick-knacks out of a warehouse and never dusted them. Went here on a Monday morning and it wasn’t crowded. We had eggs, corned beef hash and Mama’s skillet. The food was good and came out as ordered. Should have asked for crispy hash browns because they came out barely browned. Servers were friendly and it looked like most of the folks here were local regulars. The food was better than the place looked and they had a good selection of items. We had already tried Peaches and wanted to try somewhere different for breakfast. Peaches was better and cleaner, but it is worth trying if you want a change of pace.

I found this café through Unilocal.I read reviews that hinted this café was expensive, but I was very pleased to find that this food was very affordable and at amazing quality. When I requested the flavors a for the frappes the waitress said it was free range: create your own. I had a mocha cinnamon, and it was the most delicious thing I’ve ever tasted. It was the size of a medium Orange juice at mc Donald’s and only 3 dollars! The owner delivered the drink to me himself, started a conversation, and ever helped the wonderful waitress suzie bus tables. It was so refreshing to find such good quality, homey, hospitable service right under my nose! I ordered a gyro to eat and it was delectable. Would recommend 10 times over!

Not sure why so many raves but we were disappointed. The sausage in the breakfast special was grilled which is ok, except that it was more charred than we liked. The wrap did not have much flavor and the line vinaigrette was more of an oil, no vinegar to give it a kick. Watermelon in fruit side looked old and dry do I did not eat it. Lastly the service was slow.

This is a really nice little place. The sliders taste home made and the fresh fruit is actually fresh! Our waitress was really kind and the barista came to the table to take a coffee order. The owner came by and said hello. There appears to be lots of regularswhich is always a good sign! I got an iced chai with a shot of espresso. I don’t know what the other reviewer meant saying the coffee is like Folgers… no way! Starbucks is terrible coffee. This is great! Watching people line up at the McDonald’s across the parking lot is appalling when you have lovely adorable food right here. Support local small businesses!!! It’s worthwhile!

This is one of my Go to places for breakfast or lunch. I regularly get breakfast to go for my mom who loves it also. I have eaten here about 30 times and they are very consistent. The breakfast is always exactly as expected and the sandwiches are really good. The owners and staff are very friendly although it can get super busy making them a little more stressed. Take a minute to try their little bakery /coffee shop which is attached to the main restaurant. The turnovers are wonderful. My only minor negative is the general décor. It really needs an updating and redecorating(a little old and dumpy). Since I really come here for the food, I will definitely be back !

I’ve only had 1 experience here so far and of the 2 dishes that came to our table, one was great, the other wasn’t very good. The Cuban sandwich was the best I’ve had in town. The accompanying homemade chips were really thin and crispy. The bread was perfect. The down side was the chicken caeser salad. It was small and the lettuce was dark around the edges to the point where it shouldn’t have been served. I’m pretty sure the dressing wasn’t homemade. The big key to a good caeser salad is the dressing. I would return for the Cuban sandwich but would probably do take out. The restaurant itself isn’t really someplace i want to spend much time in, old and a bit dingy.

This is an incredible place for down-home cooking. The owners have done a great job of creating an inviting environment and the staff is more than willing to go the extra mile to make you happy. The coffee shop rivals all the big brands and has the best chai latte I have ever had. Try some of their fresh baked goods as well, you won’t be disappointed.

One side is a typical eatery while the other side is a trendy coffee shop. Coffees and food are available throughout. Great menu, great coffee and absolutely outstanding service. I can’t say more about the guy who made our coffees and our friendly waitress. Both were awesome! We will back to try some pastries.

Unfortunately, based on our experience, there isn’t much to say about this place. We were vacationing in the area and looking for a local coffee shop. We walked in, looked around and waited for someone to greet us. No one did and we wandered over to the side with a coffee menu and pastry cases and stood for a few minutes, but no one was available to help us. We left and hit Starbucks for our dose of caffeine.

This is the 3rd name & owner of this place and they’ve all been good. But this time they raised the bar. The 1st owner added additional seating and started to add a bakery. Unfortunately she sold it before that happened and it sat empty until now. This place is always busy now and rightly so and they have added dinner too. And the bakery is also a coffee shop with gourmet coffees and scrumptious baked items. This really is a good old fashioned home cooking Café and coffee shop and you won’t be disappointed if you like that kind of fid.
