Visited Java Sweets for the first time this week and liked it so much I brought my husband a couple days later. Delightful little quiet immaculate place. Very friendly attentive service. Excellent pulled pork served with house-made«Wah-Sum» sauce. Yummy crispy pressed Cuban. They offer several choices for sides, including a tasty cucumber salad, which is an option you never see elsewhere. Today I opted for the fresh fruit. Most places you get day-old melon and pineapple with a couple grapes if you’re lucky. This fruit featured perfectly fresh melon and pineapple plus a sweet blackberry, blueberries and raspberries. Both visits I splurged on a heavenly apple turnover pastry for dessert. It was served atop a fine squiggly line of caramel. Little details like extra attention to presentation make Java Sweets a place I want to return to.

What a refreshing addition to Bradenton! I have enjoyed TK’s Java Sweets on several occasions and found the food to be fresh and delicious. The quiches are amazing, browned on the griddle and made even more special with a side of Chef Jimmie’s Wah-Sum sweet sauce. Jimmie and Gretta are known for their slow roasted pulled pork with black beans and rice. Breakfast is all-American…one of my favorites is the home-made waffle with fresh blueberries! I’m getting hungry just thinking about TK’s Java Sweets… I think a pressed Cuban sandwich is in my future.

I’m in love with this new spot for breakfast or lunch! Today I enjoyed their famous Cuban sandwich and it was AWESOME!!! The owners are so accommodating, I asked for extra pickles and they were happy to oblige! They further explained«no» isn’t in their vocabulary. Last week I was here for breakfast, also a great option for a great price. I had a delicious, huge, hot blueberry muffin, eggs and delicious perfectly cooked bacon. TK’s has my vote!

It’s a little hard to spot, but definitely worth seeking out! The staff is super friendly and the service is fast! Great place to stop on your lunch break or linger on the weekends! I had the TKs Wrap with fresh fruit! Very good! Will be making this a regular stop for sure!

First, let’s get the logistics squared away– this place is within a strip mall that is marked as 4105 Wildwood Plaza. It is directly across the street from the AMC Bowling Alley. It shares the plaza with a hair cutting place and a Habitat for Humanity Re-Source store and Java Sweets is tucked behind the Liberty Bank building within the strip mall. Now, on to the experience. This is a relatively new place that has a breakfast and lunch menu. Breakfast is served all day. The lunches included a pulled pork platter or bowl that sounded pretty good, as did the quiches. The soup of the day the day I visited was clam chowder. I opted for a breakfast plate because I was in the mood for bacon. At $ 6.95 for two eggs, toast, bacon(or you could have grits, sausage or fruit) and coffee it was pretty reasonable. Service was fast and friendly, food was cooked as ordered and bacon was nice and super crisp and still sizzling when it arrived. It wasn’t very crowded when I visited but I might have missed the lunch crowd. It is worth a visit– support the small local mom ‘n pop operations when you can! Good food and friendly service in a non-chain environment.
