KFC

There a few times when I’ve been this completely and overall disappointed. you better really want some chicken and be willing to wait and willing to deal with bad service. The place burned down a few years back and they should have left it that way and not rebuilt.

I regularly dine at KFCs throughout Tampa, Brandon, and Orlando, but this was my first time here.
I always fill out the survey, and when I return, I usually order a $ 5 fill up meal, and add the free go cup, for later. As I was traveling this made for a perfect road snack.
The young lady at the register was new (and very polite) said that she thought I had to order a drink to get the go cup, and when I explained that the meal came with a drink, it shouldn’t be a problem as I have done this dozens of times, at a multitude of KFCs.
She asked the manager, who simply grunted a loud «No» followed by a «He still has to order another drink». Not once did he speak directly to me nor even make eye contact, even though he was standing directly in front of me.
Ny friend was ready to leave, but as we had tickets for a local event and our time was limited, we ordered anyway, forgoing the go cup.
During the confusion the young lady had accidentally entered the aforementioned drink and when she asked the manager to remove it, he walked over and glared at me and my friend, while voiding the drink.
He proceeded to glare at us for the remainder of our meal (we actually left after sooner than planned as my friend had become very uncomfortable).
Again, the young lady at the counter was very friendly, it was the male manager who was being unprofessional.
The food itself was not very good. The mashed potatoes were cold, and my friend’s popcorn chicken was cold, as well.
The chicken strips, in my 3 piece meal, were laughable, and about ½ of the size that I get from EVERY OTHER KFC I have gone to.
I’m not sure why the differnce. Perhaps they are cutting the strips in half, to save money.
I haave no idea, but I have never had this poor quality at a KFC before, so I was pretty shocked.
I would recommend avoiding this KDC at all cost.

Just had chicken strips… When did the king of chicken go so wrong? Mark this day, I will only eat Publix chicken from today forward. Sad to see a franchise reduce quality so much…
