Bradenton’s best kept secret located in the Desoto Square Mall. Anytime we’re in the mood for sushi, this is where we roll. You will NOT be disappointed!

This is a new dine-in or carry-out Vietnamese and sushi restaurant in the Desoto Mall food court. For Desoto Mall, the dining area inside the restaurant is fairly decent, new, and clean. Which provides a sanitary barrier between the diner and the usual Brandenton Riff Raff. The sushi is made at the island stall in the middle of the food court, and the Vietnamese dishes and seating are in the restaurant portion. The space was originally a starbucks, so that might help visualize the space. You can also sit at the sushi bar island, which also has ice cream. The entire set-up is a little odd, but really adds to the novelty of even having sush food in Bradenton. The Goi Cuon(fresh spring rolls) are only served up one way; chocked full of shrimp and fatty pork. I asked for tofu and was shot down. Next time, I will ask for no meat filling at all and see if that is possible. There are also rice plates with your choice of meat, and Phở Ga or Phở Bo. All entrée prices are around the $ 6.50 range and can hold you over until the next trip to Tampa or St Pete. They also serve Banh Mi sandwiches. Most customers are ordering sushi, but I stay with the Vietnamese dishes. The owners are friends with the other Vietnamese restaurant location over on SR70 near Woody’s BBQ. However, the Phở broth at Lee’s location is better. Lee’s has beer and wine folks. So locals are starting to just come by to sit at the bar and drink. They do not have bubble tea. I am sad.
