Honestly… this is my ‘go to’ restaurant when I am in the area. The food is REALLY really really good! Home made-comfort food taste. Their soups are seriously better than your mom makes and my mom makes pretty good soup. The short rib dinner… OMG! I have not had the fish but hear it is amazing. STUFFEDPEPPERS! OMG! I want to give it a 4 because sometimes the service is a bit slow but honestly they are always so busy that it would not be fair to deduct for this as they deserve how busy they are. The prices are very reasonable… If you get tired of trying to find good food… Tired of Unilocaling and trying to find a good restaurant in the area… stop looking and go here!

My family and I go to this restaurant often. It has great food, friendly staff and the Greek burger is my favorite! We highly recommend this restaurant.

Was in Florida on vacation and came across this jewel. During the week we were there we enjoyed a breakfast and lunch at this location. Overall great food for the price. Staff was super to deal with.

I just returned from the Olympic Café — and I am full and satisfied! To me, it seems that it’s not that easy to find really good restaurants in Bradenton/Sarasota. Being a foodie and a former food service professional, I might have higher standards than the average diner. Taste, quality and quantity(at least a decent-sized portion, NOT small food) are my requirements. And, let me say that Olympic Café meets all three standards! It’s a «diner-style» restaurant with a heavy«Greek look.» The restaurant appears very clean and staff members aren’t just standing around doing nothing. In terms of food, there’s what you would expect at a good diner — breakfast items, sandwiches, burgers, etc. The specials board offered a nice variety of dishes for dinner, including quite a few seafood entrees. I was just dying for a good gyro, though and that’s what I ordered, along with an order of French fries. It was possibly the BEST gyro I’ve ever had, and I’ve had quite a few in my days. Not only was it delicious(sliced gyro meat — the usual lamb and beef combination, tomatoes, onions and fresh, excellent tzatziki sauce, all wrapped in a warm flatbread), but it was HUGE! The sandwich was bulging with sliced gyro meat. The French fries were perfect, too. Nice and crispy on the outside and tender inside. My only complaint would be that the portion of fries seemed kind of small to me. I will be back — it is now on my list of great restaurants to visit when I’m in town. In fact, I might just go back for dinner! Wouldn’t be the first time I’ve gone to a restaurant twice in one day. There’s plenty of traditional Greek items on the menu and I feel like I have to try them all, based on my first experience at the Olympic Café. They’ve been in business for 20 years for a reason — -IT’S GREAT!

Have driven by this place on my way home from work every day for 6 years now. I was craving french onion soup today for some reason so I googled«french onion soup manatee ave bradenton» and Olympic Café came up so I decided to order some to take out on my way home from work. I also ordered a chicken caesar salad. Both were delicious! The service was great too — it was ready by the time I got there(only 5 minutes after I called) and the people at the drive up window were very pleasant.

First thing i’m going to say is their Baklavah is the best– if you like Baklavah you MUST have it here. Best diner in Bradenton. We love this place. It feels like home every time I walk in the door and I personally love their onion rings as well as their chicken florentine soup when they have it! Other great dishes include their ribs and beef dishes– delicious. Service is always great their employees make you feel at home and comfortable. All around amazing food. They have a great selection from traditional Greek food to general«Diner» food– burgers are superb too. Not a chain so this is the real deal! Prices are excellent for the food you’re getting. They also run periodical promotional days– for example recently did a customer appreciation day where they were providing free meals while suggesting donations to an Alzheimer’s research/care charity. Of course we still tipped and donated. Anyhow they’re great! Definitely worth supporting(spending money at) on taste alone!

First off I love the décor and atmosphere, some might call it dated but I say that it definitely has the greek diner aesthetic down pat. Second, the service was excellent, my waitress was quick to refresh drinks and very attentive. Third, The food was delicious. I had the chicken kabob platter along with some baklava and I couldn’t be happier. Lastly, the price couldn’t be beat. If you’re looking for somewhere low key to grab a bite then Olympic café is the place for you!

My family and I love this place. The staff is super friendly and accommodating, we have called several times for a large party and they get our table ready for us. We all love the food so much to choose from it’s like a diner menu endless possibilities.

Very good gyros from tough grader. The pita was a little dry. Time on the griddle with a dab of oil would have helped. Could have used a little more white sauce. Great ripe tomatoes. Nice thinly sliced onions. A good amount of meat. Should have had a cube of feta or pepperoncini as a garnish instead of a dill pickle. French fries were very good. Service was fantastic from the greeting upon entering, the quick seating in a clean dining room and the very nice waitress who had our drinks back to us within a minute. No waiting for a refill of ice tea or lemonade either.

Very upset with the customer service I received from the rude lady on the phone today when I called at 7PM to order pick up. I wanted 3 kids meals for my kids: 2 chicken and fries, and a cheeseburger and fries + a large greek salad… she said«you need to order an adult meal or we can’t do this» I said ok, I’ll call back later. So is that a rule at Olympic now? I like their large greek salad and my kids enjoy the kid’s meals… what a joke. I used to really like this place, now I am debating if I ever go back… thanks for nothing rude lady!

I cannot thank this restaurant enough for going out of their way to fill a large order close to closing time on a holiday weekend. My friends were late coming back from a cruise so our plans had to change last minute. All the food ordered was fresh and well presented. I have always loved this place. I’m a fan!

Waited in drive through for a simple greek salad for over 15 minutes. Then when I got home to eat it-Utterly gross! Not sure why the Bradenton Herald rated it #1 greek restaurant except for the fact it’s the only one in town! Not going back!

More like 3 ½ stars. Service was above average and prices are fair. The gyro was one of the best around. Gyro meat was full of flavor and the sauce coated it well. It came with a small side of Cole slaw and that was good too. Would definitely come back for another lunch or dinner.

We always make a stop here when we’re in town. The food is always good and they are usually busy. I like the drive thru option, but be prepared to wait awhile! Very old school, family friendly place.

It might seem strange to have really good Greek food in Florida, but this place must be doing something right to be around this long. The same owners have been there 18 years — and indeed they were working when we ate. I had the gyro — it is pretty simple: fresh pita, lamb, tzatziki sauce and sweet onions(no lettuce) and it came with a side of unremarkable slaw. Eating a gyro brings back memories of college when we would get them after a night at the bars. I don’t think I was concerned about food quality then. My 5 year old daughter had chicken fingers and french fries. I am trying to NOT feed her these at every meal we eat out. It is a tough proposition to break her of the habit considering how good the quality of these fingers were.

The Olympic has been here forever. It’s a family-owned, family style restaurant… but don’t let that scare you: they have beer and wine. Their Greek food is good, and clearly prepared fresh. I’ve uploaded pix of the gyro platter and Greek chicken salad we had(large enough that we took some leftovers home along with bacclava dessert). Service was fine(and it was fairly busy) and the place was clean. If you’re craving Greek in Bradenton give it a try.
