Tacos Dona Monse

As you might have seen, this taco wagon did a disappearing act and then returned. Last night I got a chance to stop and see what is going on. It is still in the parking lot of the Oneco market, so easy to get to and park at.
What I couldn’t resist is they have tamales now. I got a couple along with a couple carnitas sopas. The tamales were amazingly good. The masa was tender and flavor full. The pork filling was yummy and just a bit of spice. But don’t forget the green salsa they had for these as well. So yummy, so spicy and good.
The sopas were excellent as well. The carnitas was starting to think about being dry, but the whole package rescued them. I“m sure since it was late and not far from closing we got the end of the batch, but they were still 10X better than you get a lot of places. A lot of good flavor in those little bits of pork. You will notice though I didn’t have the tacos. Got to save something for the next time! Although with tamales this good, why have tacos? Oh yeah, chorrizo! Next time chorrizo tacos is what I’m trying.
Seemed like there were new owners as the inside and menu was a bit different. I wish them all the luck as I love eating their tamales!
