Won’t be back. Clean place & friendly service — but lousy food. Egg whites runny, turkey sausage like cardboard. You know who has great turkey sausage? Bob Evans! They do it right! I would much rather have breakfast at IHOP or Bob Evans. Grrrrr.

Way overpriced for what you get. Had to wait a long time for a table, then had to wait a long time to order food, and you guessed it a long time to get our food. Everyone at our table left hungry which is frustrating for how much we paid. Would much rather go to The Broken Egg or Butterfields and get more food for the price and a lot faster service. Definitely a let down as I had high hopes for The Granary.

Very friendly, helpful servers. Although, quite busy on a Sunday morning, we were seated in less time than anticipated. Breakfast was quite good, with delicious chunks of home fried potatoes, where you could actually taste the potatoes. Big selection. We’ll go back.

Came here for the first time today and was immediately surprised with how nice the place is inside. My food was excellent, the bacon was crispy just the way I like it and the toast was extra thick and amazing. If you are a small party and don’t want to wait for a table, you can sit at the bar. We will definitely be coming back

Great restaurant. As someone who has to eat gluten free because of allergies. This restaurant has a fantastic gluten free guide and provides suggestions on how to make certain items gluten free. Never seen something like that! Ambiance is great. They have some of the best gluten free pancakes I’ve ever had! My parents live locally and I come to visit them often — we will be back!

This is my first time here. I’ll definitely be back everything is just the way I like it! I found a new breakfast restaurant. The servers warm and friendly price is reasonable. OK this was one of my favorite breakfast places until today when I decided to come here for pancakes. I don’t get them very often but I am particular about the way I like them. I don’t like them thick and flufy but I like them thin and crispy she said to me the batters already made and they can’t change it. Well all you have to do is put a little water in my portion and she kind of snippily said that they just won’t do that. Well you know what I don’t have to come here do I? I must also say I remember her from another restaurant which I can’t recall and have problems with her there too so I don’t totally hold it against the restaurant. I believe it is possible to get a thin thin pancake so I won’t give up.

These young entrepreneurs have another home run on their hands. I’m happy for our friends from across the pond. They just know how to run a really great hometown restaurant!

The food was good. It’s your average, maybe above average breakfast, lunch spot. The owner said hello, who seemed very nice. We had a gift certificate from Christmas that brought us in, but the check was about $ 30 total, which is a little higher than an average quick lunch. Overall good food, slightly high prices, friendly owner, ok service. Meh.

Delicious breakfast and lunch! My son loved the waffle! I had the burger and my family lived the omelet, monte cristo and roast beef sandwiches!

Came here solely on a suggestion from one of the locals and the Granary delivered on his promise. This is a charming breakfast/lunch bistro with a plethora of delicious foods. There is certainly plenty to choose from. Personally, I tried«The Fry Up», a hefty concoction including eggs, sausage, bacon with mushroom and grilled tomato. We found The Granary tucked unassumingly within a little plaza. This was a nice stop on a Monday morning with friendly staff and a couple cheesy definitions of the term«granary» pasted on the walls. Décor including some faux brick and plaster walls and some homey jar lanterns. The Granary is closed on Boxing Day.

The food here is very good. That being said, I probably won’t go back there anytime soon! After several visits that I thought were sort of pricey, a visit I made last week clarified this for me. I took my 7-year-old grandson for breakfast. He had 2 slices of French Toast, 2 strips of bacon and juice. I had 2 eggs, 2 slices of bacon and coffee. My bill was close to $ 25.00! This meal included no sides, no choices of fruit, potatoes, or grits that other breakfast restaurants offer. I, personally, think this is a little much when there are so many good breakfast restaurants that offer a full meal for so much less!

Typically, I check Unilocal prior to trying out a new place and I was very skeptical about going to The Granary based on a couple bad reviews(& the responses I read). However, I’ve been wanting to try this place since before they opened so I decided to take a chance today and I’m glad I did. I was greeted by a smiling hostess and was very pleased with the décor(they also have televisions). Everyone I encountered was friendly. About the food: I order a grilled cheese w/fry…YUUUUUUM! The grilled cheese was fresh, buttery, & crisp; the French fries were awesome… perfectly seasoned. Also, the banana chocolate waffle was really good. I’m sure if I would have asked they may have been able to accommodate me(but I was nervous & didn’t want to ruffle any feathers) I think the banana chocolate waffle would be perfect if it came with walnuts or roasted pecans. I was also disappointed that they didn’t serve any non-pork breakfast meat(i.e. turkey bacon/sausage or even chicken sausage). Finally, the negative reviews on Unilocal are addressed on a comment card when you receive your bill. We’re encouraged to ask for a manager if we’re not happy. And I think that’s a fair request. «Don’t go away mad!»

Wow. My family & I were sitting near another table and witnessed the customer being nice but the owner went absolutely crazy in the middle of the restaurant on her because she said she heard that the customer had«talked behind her back.» Seriously? The customer said what was it I said that offended you and the owner just went off screaming and not answering the level headed customer who was there with someone as well. After multiple times of the customer asking the owner finally yelled back you said your friends don’t come in here.” We thought are you kidding me??? The owner kept demanding to know the customer’s name & wanted her business card to which she refused. Rightfully so! She’s nuts. The owner said I don’t want you coming in here again. That’s fine the customer said. Meanwhile the restaurant is watching in shock at the owner losing her mind. As the customer & her friend were walking out the door the owner literally ran up and got in her face demanding her name, to which she refused. We were in absolute shock at how aggressive she was. She looked like she was about to physically attack her. This woman is a ticking time bomb. Seriously this is the owner??? The customer had to tell her twice to get out of her face. She was trying to prevent her from leaving. The customer didn’t do anything & was calm & collected. She handled her aggressiveness quite well. As the customer was walking out the owner came out the door screaming. My family and I were ready to call the police for the sake of this customer and everyone there’s safety. We will NOT be back. This woman needs meds or something. Holy cow. If she is upset because of that what the heck happens when there’s a real issue. I hope the staff is safe there! Ugh what terrible terrible service to witness. Never again. Grow up! Replying to your comment… Lady, I don’t know who think you are referring to but I’ve been in this restaurant only. If you have other places I wouldn’t go there. You don’t know me or my family nor do I work in marketing or media. Sadly, we witnessed your behavior and aggression which follows over into your above comment. This is not slander. This is a review site and how you verbally & almost physically attacked that customer, well community deserves to know. You’re unstable. In fact someone else commented to us regarding your behavior. One customer upset you to that degree? Wow… Goodness, let it go. I got thinking about one place that is truly great & treats customers with much respect & gratitude and… it’s 5 min away from the Granary. Sea Star Café! Prices, food & proportions are great! Best part, they treat you like family. In fact, they deserve a review for all the times I’ve been. I’ll be happy to share my appreciation in person and explain why after what I witnessed today.

One star because the service is not up to par. I ordered a blueberry waffle with bacon and asked the server for hot syrup and she looked at me as if I asked for a million bucks. With a surprised look on her face the server told me she had to ask management and disappeared to the kitchen. She came back still looking puzzled and informed me that the restaurant does not provide hot syrup. Wow you can request hot syrup at Waffle House &IHOP so this place is a step below both. The waffle was average with four blueberries tossed on it with a swirl of whip cream. I was hoping for a waffle with a unique batter or at least one with blueberries actually within the batter. My friend ordered the spicy sausage sandwich specifically telling the server no mayo however the sandwich was served with mayo. When we informed the server that the sandwich had mayo on it she sorta laughed saying I forgot to put that on your order. Wow… Last but not least the OWNER came over to apologize for not serving me hot syrup because she did not want other customers to see it being served to me and start requesting it. WOW!!! So the owner felt that this was really a justifiable explanation. That it’s so hard to pop syrup into the microwave for me or any customer requesting it. We were seated at the bar and noticed many cross contamination. The server touched the menus, input orders into the computer, touched the pens/checks and then touched customers lemons as she put them onto the rim of their glasses. The owner took scones out of the oven without any gloves after fulfilling many tasks behind the bar. This restaurant is not sterile by any means and I noticed many of the women rubbing there hands throughout their hair then serving guest. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone because the owner does not appreciate your business. Hot syrup is too much of a request, instead go to IHOP or Waffle house where they actually cook your order the way you want it and will not look at you like a deer in headlights when or if you request HOT syrup. If your like me you just like to try new places for a change let me warn you not to take a gamble on this place. Nothing special about the food you can make it at home in 10 min or less.

We stopped at the Granary on our way home from the Hunsaders Festival. My husband had heard it was good but I was skeptical because there aren’t a lot of great places to eat around 64. I was very pleasantly surprised! I got the Thai chicken salad sandwich and when I was questioning the amount of Thai they immediately got me a sample. It was delicious! My husband got the roast beef sandwich and said it was very good as well. We will go back! It was busy but we were able to find a couple seats at the bar so we didn’t have to wait.

I would have given this joint 4 stars but the service was terrible. My father in law came to the Granary for a bite to eat for lunch. The restaurant was nicely decorated and felt welcoming. There was a short wait but nothing that was intolerable. I had the fish and chips and my father in law had a hamburger. Both meals were prepared well and the food was fresh and hot. Check the joint out, it surely will not disappoint. Don’t expect great service as the restaurant gets extremely busy.

We stopped in today for an early lunch. It has a cute rustic feel and the service was friendly and fast — our food came out a lot earlier than we were anticipating for how full the restaurant was. I had the raspberry chocolate latte with lunch and it was my favorite part of the meal. A pretty great menu overall, fair portions and prices, though I would’ve liked to see a few more lower priced a la cart options. If you love breakfast and lunch, definitely check it out for yourself!

We heard rave reviews from friends about this place so we had to give it a try. Tried to go the other weekend but the line was so long so we left and got up early today. No like at 8:30am. Went for a nice breakfast because our favorite place closed down(Chickadees), which makes me very, very sad! The food was descent but for the price and the amount you actually got served, I would’ve rather bought groceries and cooked breakfast for a few days. The menu is a bit bare compared to most but as they say, they have only been open a month. A large orange juice will run you the price of a half gallon of orange juice at the store. Ugh. Eggs Benedict was good but I left hungry and do did everyone at my table. I won’t be returning to the Granary as I can do the same if not better for a fraction the cost. I felt for the quantity and price there should’ve been white fabric tablecloths and an extensive wine list. Ha. I believe serving espresso beverages(quality espressos) could’ve made the experience a lot better, or even fresh squeezed orange juice for the price instead of, what I thought tasted like Minute Maid. They do turn out a crowd and since they are only open for breakfast and lunch, they could put a bit more on the plates besides filling the plates up with a toasted Tomato slice to give the impression of a full meal. You never know, you might have a better view on them than me. Enjoy!

Clean place.new.cool casual rustic/farm décor. friendly staff… open from 7:30am to 3pm. Service was fast, food was average and overpriced. $ 7-$ 10 for mimosa. Had the carrot cake pancakes-not very hot and really only tasted the walnuts, not really the«carrot cake» part. Also had the Mediterranean omelet –good, but nothing special. Potatoes were not fully cooked. Soup of the day was lentil-very good, just very small cup for $ 3.

Brand New September 2015. Great food. Slow service. Basically, an expensive breakfast and sandwich place. Nice décor… Looks clean for now. Many of the staff came over from the Irish bar and grille at the Main Street Mall. Ample and easy parking. I had the shrimp and lobster roll with fries and a coke — $ 20.
