Best Thai food I can find at the Jersey Shore, I always try somewhere new and wish I had just gone to Bamboo Leaf! So delicious and flavorful. My favorite dish is the vegetable green curry, with lots of extra rice! I’ve also had the Thai basil and drunken noodles, all amazing.

I’ve never reviewed bamboo leaf?! What is wrong with me? Love this place. Best Thai you’ll get in the area albeit more expensive than if you were in South jersey.(They have a larger Asian community.) Anyway, quality of food is great. The same(fiiiine) waiter is there and has been there since I remember. He’s very personable and accommodating. I love to take ppl here who have never tried Thai before. Drunken noodle is yum. Actually everything I’ve eaten here is yum. The only thing that I’d say is mediocre is the pineapple rice. Why is everyone obsessed with that? I feel like that’s what you give the Thai newbie so they can day, «oh it’s kinda like Chinese». I actually order it for my u year old. Skip that. Go for the classic pad Thai or a curry dish. Expand your horizons! Thai is soooo yum and total comfort food level.

Came here on a very late dinner with the family. It’s a cute and quaint restaurant. We called at 915 to see if we would make it there on time and a guy with deep voice picked up the phone. At first I thought I had dialed the wrong number and had gotten the gym… lol…but it was the correct place. They took us in at 930 and was able to serve us quick. There were other customers that came in shortly after us too, so I didn’t feel to bad about keeping the staff there beyond their time. Onto the food: they ran out of rice noodle, which was for the kids so my husband ordered some coconut soup. That soup was eh… i was never a fan of coconut soup and neither are my kids… that was put to the side n packed to go quickly. My husband’s drunken noodle was the best dish of the night… so good that whatever was leftover i ate the next day… lol. I had ordered the glass noodle and it was very under cooked. I didn’t asked for it to be returned back cause I didn’t want to go home with diarrhea/stomach pains. Left the noodles as it. There was a good amount of patrons late in the evening. I’m sure that it must get crowded there during the summer season. I’d come back again.

Best thai food in the area. Their spicy papaya salad is the best around, crispy and juicy. I love their basil fried rice and beef satay. The staff is very friendly and i love that this place can be casual Friday hang out with friends or take out and relax at home in pajamas… the food tastes amazing both ways.

I have been to Bamboo Leaf many times. I live in Bradley Beach so it is always a quick good take-out option. I have to admit though, the last several times I have ordered, the food was very over cooked/burnt. I figured i would give it another try again, and I ordered the shrimp rolls and the shrimp was not even cooked! Summer is coming, you better get your act together.

I love this place. Their Thai food has a very unique taste. I usually get the Chicken Pad Thai, and Thai Basil Chicken Rice. Soooo good! It’s pricey, but you won’t find Thai food anywhere else that tastes as good! I have to admit, there have been times when they overcooked a bit, but it didn’t stop me from coming here just because nothing compared, and it was always worth the shot.

Dined here for the first time and as a Thai food fan i had high hopes. I ordered the drunken noodle and fish cakes for appetizer and was impressed. Highly recommend this place for their friendly service and delicious food!

This place is amazing. I was so surprised on how good this food was. Caramelized Spare Ribs are a must, I would bathe in that sauce. The meal from start to finish was top notch. Service was knowledgeable and really helped us select the best dinner menu. I suggest going with a group of 4+ and just sharing multiple dishes. Basil Seafood, Panang Curry, Coconut milk soup(have to try) are all must tries.

We just ate her for dinner on Saturday night around 7pm. The place is small as it is and there were lines waiting. In my head I’m thinking, this looks promising. I asked for a table for two and was told that it was going to be thirty minutes wait. I was okay with the wait. Less than thirty minutes later we were seated on a six top, shared with party of four. This was pretty common and understandable especially during peak dinner hour. We ordered the following: Fish Cake, sauce was good, portion was terrible. Taste was average. It was so overpriced. Drunken Noodles w/Veg, OMG! It was so salty to the point my wife had to brought it to one of the servers attention. It was replaced with a new one and yet it’s still way too salty. Crab Fried Rice-It has the potential to be good until the point where I realized that I ordered crab fried rice not giant julienne of onion fried rice. No joke, it was probably ½ lb of juliene onion in the fried rice. For $ 17, I could get way cheaper Thai fried rice in NYC and taste wayyyy better than this one. Caramel Ribs– to sum it up it was deep fried ribs doused in extra sweet and salty soy based sauce with again ¾ lb of onion. Please lay of the onion, I get that onion is cheap and you want to stretch your food cost but please consider the value perceived by your customers. #dinnerisruinediwenthomeandcookedramennoodles

We got there at around 6pm, somewhat early for dinner but since it’s a small place and we had no reservations we wanted a table right away, which we got. We waited about 10 minutes before we ordered, i get the app beef sate then the drunken flat noodles with beef. The food took about an hour to arrive which normally I would hate in such a small place but since I had no where to be it was fine. When the food came out it was totally worth the wait. It was hot(both in temperature and spice) full of flavor and there was more than enough for two people. I would have given it 5 starts but they could probably have used an additional server/cook or two to push through the orders. Food alone is 5 stars, service is 1 or 2.

Disclaimer: Based on the service during peak time: poor expectation management. Made a 7pm reservation and checked in. No heads up that our table wasn’t ready. 45 minutes went by and we flagged someone down to hear there were still two tables ahead of us. We probably wouldn’t have eaten until 9. Food smelled great so I imagine the food is much better than the initial service. We had left before then so we will never know.

This is a review for their take-out(although I have eaten in the restaurant, which is also fantastic): I walked into their restaurant in Bradley Beach, and the gentleman behind the counter quickly took my to-go order. He said it would be ready in 25 minutes, but it came out in just under 20. I got the Tom Yum soup with shrimp, and I asked for it «Thai spicy». It was delicious, lots of quality shrimp, and it was plenty hot and spicy. That made me very happy. I also got the drunken noodle with chicken, and I asked for that spicy as well. It was delicious, although I wouldn’t have minded just a bit more chicken. Still, it was a large portion overall and I ate every last morsel. Overall a fantastic meal, and worth the money(about $ 24).

Fantastic food! The service sadly is lacking, they only had a single waiter for a full house of diners! However, the food was honestly amazing. Highly recommended: Drunken Noodles and Meat Lovers Fried Rice. The pork in the meat lovers rice was awesome and the rice was rockin’. Would definitely order again.

My review is based on the Seafood soup. Squid was rubber as was the lone scallop. The shrimp tasted like a fart so I didn’t eat it. Please take the seafood off of the menu and maybe check on your tables to see how the meal is.

My first time in this restaurant was seriously flawless. All restaurants should take example to this place. First of all, the staff was polite and nice. And I mean all of them. The food was excellent, and hot(temperature wise). Highly recommended. And we are definitely going back.

Finally… I’m eating good Thai food at the shore in Monmouth county… HAPPY!!! This place is fantastic… for starters, it’s incredibly relaxing… atmosphere, music, staff(calm, quiet, lovely), service is timely and the food is amazing!!! Best Thai I’ve had since moving from the Pacific Northwest!!! The pineapple fried rice is as good as everyone else says… the Thai sausage is a perfect compliment to the pineapple… mmmmmm!!! I also had the green curry with tofu and veggies… I’m a huge fan… love the flavor and mix of veggies! I will be back… OFTEN!!!

Excellent food and excellent service. Finally tried this spot after living just down the street from it for years. Ordered the Thai basil fried rice with chicken(extra spicy) and the Chicken Saté. Food was ready in 15 minutes and was piping hot when I got through the door. The Thai basil fried rice is heavenly. What a great dish. The chicken saté also very good, but the rice was superior. Portion wise, you seem to get a ton of food. I have leftovers for at least two days. Can’t wait to return!

Best Thai food at the shore. This restaurant is a small little BYOB place with a cozy feel. The service was great. We had a reservation for 4:30 right when it opened and it was pretty dead when we arrived closer to 5. The staff was attentive and our server was very knowledgeable about the gluten free dishes without even having to run to the kitchen to ask the chef. The food was very flavorful. Highly recommend the spring rolls as an appetizer. The sauce was amazing. Mango duck was a great choice too.
