Very clean and the store is huge. There is Dunkin Donuts, Cleaners and Chase bank. Main reason we were there was to try the cold and hot salad buffet bar which they had a huge selection and was very good.

Pretty clean and well stocked. Has a decent bakery selection and hot bars. The only drawbacks are cashiers are slow at times and lunch time is pretty busy with not always fast moving lines, employees are polite.

I love this place. Honestly, the BESTBAKERY. Not even kidding. Their bakery is better than the Bridgewater bakery, the place on 202 «randazzo’s», The Somerville bakery«dessert plate», seriously all those bakeries had stale cookies and brownies with no flavor. Shoprite is the best all around the prices and bakery!

This Shop Rite is pretty much as good as it gets. Unlike almost any other Shop Rite, they have: 1. Dunkin Donuts 2. Dry Cleaners 3. Chase Bank They have all three inside the store. It’s awesome. Shop Rite has always been my supermarket of choice because their prices are the most reasonable and they always have a good selection, unlike some other supermarkets. This particular Shop Rite is also huge but never feels too busy. There is plenty of room in the aisles to maneuver so it makes for a much less stressful shopping experience. On top of all that, they offer a ton of other things most other Shop Rites do not. They have a huge bakery, a Chinese food area(the food looks as good as most take out places), a large sushi selection that offers phenomenal prices and a monster sized deli. I also love the fact that they have plenty of cash registers open at all times. That is huge. There’s nothing worse than getting done with your shopping and then waiting in line for upwards of 20 minutes. We’ll definitely continue to come here. You can’t beat this place.

I tried to call ahead to have a medium sized deli/hot food order prepared but got transferred three times and then reluctantly somebody took my order. I was really just trying to save myself some time as it was a really busy day where I worked and I wanted to get in to get the food and back to feed my hungry staff as fast as possible. When I showed up to pick up the supposed order, there were eight people behind the deli & to go counter and no one could possibly take the time out to help me even though they were only talking amongst themselves. I flagged someone down and they pointed towards a person in the hot food counter who should have my order. This person, Anthony, was actually quite delightful but he only had a portion of my order — the rest he said I had to pick up off of the self-serve bar. But I had requested mashed potatoes and gravy and they didn’t have gravy and I had requested macaroni salad and there was none of that either. So I ended up leaving the shop rite which just a portion of my order and a very bad taste in my mouth for their customer service. I have been to other shop rates in the greater New York New Jersey area and never experienced such disregard for the customer. Anthony should have the job of supervisor of the prepared food area and everyone else should be let go!!!

Deli Dept personnel has been upgraded, thanks !! Morale has improved, but it seems it’s the tenured employees only?

This is a really nice ShopRite. It’s a little more cramped than the brand new, swankalicious one in downtown Somerville, but it’s still got a great variety of goods and a nice produce selection. I do find that they don’t carry all the organic and specialty items that I like, but otherwise it’s got all I need. The store includes a Dunkin’ Donuts, a cleaners, and a jewelry shop, cause you know, in between buying your milk and bread you might want some diamonds. No, seriously, I think the convenience of it for me might be for a watch battery replacement or something. That would be a nice thing to have done while I get my groceries.

Fantastic large supermarket. The prepared food section is pretty good. I’m always down for their sesame chicken, meat candy at its finest!

Its a large super market with a wide selection of items. It was just across the road from where i was staying so i ended up shopping here every week. I found the prepared food department to be pretty good and has large selection of fresh prepared meals to go like chicken cacciatore, baked ziti, chicken marsala etc all of which i tried and likes. They also have standard fried chicken(which i found to be too greasy) and rotissere chicken(which was good). It has a large salad bar which is good to add to the mix when eating a lot of packaged stuff and a sub shop which was ok(my advise use the subway outside if you are looking for a sub). Bakery selection is also good with cakes, cookies, pastries etc again all of which i tried and likes. What you can avoid is their Sushi section as it was really bad both the times that i have tried it. I cannot comment on the fresh groceries section as i did not buy any but their selection fresh fruits can do with some improvement. Overall prices are reasonable and people at the checkout lines are friendly so thumbs up from me!!!

Writing this post, I hear my wife vomiting the lobsters we unfortunately got from Shoprite Branchburg. She didn’t have to go to the hospital. So thanks for that Shoprite, you’ve made a great sale at our expense and deserve 5 star(fish) as a commendation for skill, exploiting customers.

A different clientele than the one in Bound Brook, but who cares: it’s ShopRite, not date night. The parking lot’s not as crazy as Bound Brook’s. Price and quality are between the crap at A&P in Pluckemin and upscale King’s(which I find WAY overpriced)…not quite Wegman’s. Red Box machine inside.

DH and I have been here a few times. It took us a little while to get the layout of the store down because it is quite a bit different from the Shop Rite where we used to live. This Shop Rite is one of the bigger ones I have seen. They have a huge prepared foods section with a wide selection of items. Can’t comment too much on this area yet as we have only tried the Chinese food which was pretty good. The people that work there are really very helpful. While we were trying to decide what to get for dinner(it was a late shopping trip and neither of us wanted to cook!) the lady at the grill station was friendly and asked if we needed any help. On another occasion I was in the cheese area trying to find a yummy hard cheese and the lady that worked there made some recommendations. She even gave me a taste of a couple of cheeses so I could decide what one I wanted. The store is clean and the lines are usually manageable… I have never been more than the second person in line behind the person that was checking out. Keep in mind we tend to go during the week in the evening so that might be why, but we have enjoyed the short lines.

Update: I give them credit as they found a new way to annoy me. They have groups of people from an outside company clearing the shelves and doing inventory. They do this in the middle of the shopping day, clogging the already narrow aisles, and making whole shelves of groceries unavailable. The pallets of crap at the back of the store and the ends of each aisle are more numerous than ever, making it difficult to move your cart around. Did I mention the p.a. announcer also annoys me when he says.: «Shoprite of BranchBURG»?

Wow! What happened to the prepared foods department here? It’s amazing! I got some catering from here on my way out to State College fro some tailgating and I had no time to cook, so figured I’d pick something up on the way. Stopped at this Shoprite, and the food actually looked good, well made, clean, dare I say… appetizing. So ok, I bought some, not like me to buy prepared food from a grocery store, but it was just tailgating, right? Well, I got the most delicious fresh ribs flavored to perfection, FRESH& crisp grilled veggies, sauteed sweet potatoes, and moist and flavorful chicken. But what I got even better was tons of complements and an empty cooler, which is not always the case. So I’d like to say thanks Caribbean grill of Shoprite, I like to see people who actually care about making good food, so I’m never cooking for a tailgate again(and maybe not for Thanksgiving either!)

It’s big and has lots of stuff. It smells funny sometimes by the meat/sushi part, but I can only assume that it’s fish and meat. Big selection of stuff, lots of frozen food isles and such. The people didn’t seem overly rude or peppy. I stop at this on my way home from my boyfriends and this one is A LOT better then the one I go to in Piscataway, which is half the size. No complaints.
