It’s a Walmart so you pretty much already know what you are getting yourself in to, for better or worse. One of the main things I like about this particular Walmart is that it is not nearly as packed as others. It makes it much more manageable to get in and out of. Like almost every other Walmart I’ve ever been to, they do not have enough registers open. But, since this one is not nearly as packed, you can get still get through the line in a more reasonable amount of time. Overall, it’s just OK.

Convinient locations but does not have the selection I would have expected. Still a worth place to do shopping at. I actually like Walmarts for the better than average customer service compared to small buisnesses.

Not a huge fan of Walmarts in general. I find them all to be creepy with creepy employees and creepy people going to them. I mean come on theres a website dedicated to weird people who have been seen at Walmarts, they don’t have that for Target lol. But I never liked this Walmart reason being its always empty, it’s in the middle of no where on route 22 surrounded by run down or abandoned motels. You feel very unsafe at this Walmart. Just do yourself a favor and go to Target in Bridgewater, they have a Starbucks in the store, and it’s just a better cleaner environment. It’s not too far from this Walmart.

This store is convenient from Bedminster, and the values for some items are good, not great, but good. Visio TV buys are better at Costco. Food? I am more comfortable buying at Kings, Shop Rite and rarely, Wegmans… now, occasionally, Fresh Market… the issue for me at Walmart is the time it has taken me to check out and pay. Walmart is so penny conscious to their vendors, I’m guessing they bought the lowest cost Checkout system, compared to Wegmans, who is #1 in food; Home Depot in #1 self checkout, Walmart is last in staffed and self checkout by far.

I don’t normally write poor reviews, especially about large chain stores like Walmart but I have to express my frustration, disappointment, and extremely poor customer service I had at this particular store. I only give one star because it is laid out very nicely and is overall clean. I don’t know why but it seems like there’s never any help behind the photo center or in the media/movie areas. Not sure if there’s nobody assigned when I’m there or employees are on lunch, but there should still be coverage. I’m used to it, except this particular time I needed assistance with the photo machine. After choosing pictures and finalizing your order to be printed, anyone who’s used a self-help immediate photo printer knows a claim ticket will print out and then you scan the bar code to collect your order. Well, I heard a noise, the paper was stuck, so no claim ticket produced. I looked around and finally found an employee over by the cameras. I snatched him quickly before he would disappear, told him no one was in the photo area, and the paper was stuck so I couldn’t get my pictures out. He said«oh yeah, we’re out of paper, we just have a little piece here so the sensor won’t go off.» He opened the printer and there was clearly no paper in there. You would think that would be something that would be tended to immediately but I guess not. I said so how am I going to retrieve my pictures? He said«we will use your phone number.» So I asked him«I just have to hunt you down when my pictures are done?» He said«yeah I guess.» This guy was already annoyed I took him away from what he was doing but it’s not my fault the machine was out of paper. They should have just put an Out of Order sign on the whole photo area because of the cat and mouse game I had to play. I wasn’t the only one, another woman was pretty annoyed too. It gets better, my photos were done. I could hear the beeping. That employee was no where to be found so I pried open the door myself to get my pictures. With no claim ticket I had no choice. My total was $ 35, no price printed or anything and usually I turn right around and pay at the desk. Of course nobody was behind the desk. If I were a dishonest person I could have easily walked out with free pictures. No one would have been around. I walked behind the desk myself to get an envelope to put them in and went up to customer service to pay. I point blankly stated how easily it could have been for me to walk out without paying, and that any other person would have done so. The girl behind the desk apologized and acted surprised, but as I was paying, she was texting and talking to another associate. So unprofessional. I’m honest and addressed a problem, and they don’t care. Working in customer service, this makes me so angry. I should have asked for a manager.

While this location doesn’t offer the wide variety of grocery products found in Wal*Mart Supercenters, the Wal*Mart in Whitehouse Station on US22 is a terrific one-stop shop for all types of household necessities. Regardless of the economic and social evils associated with big box stores in small communities — the staff is friendly, the store is clean and well-stocked with a wide variety of household necessities ranging from sundries to cleaning supplies and hardware, and the prices are terrific. Like many Wal*Mart locations, this store has made efforts to embrace the local community, going so far as to carry Hunterdon Central Regional High School Red Devils sweatshirts and gym gear.

No, I’m not a fan of Walamrts, per se. But…this ‘aint no regular Walmart — it’s the old LaneCo dressed up as a Walmart You see, Walmart wanted into Hunterdon County bad — why not, look at our demographics, we’re amongst the richest communities in the US, but we didn’t want Walmart — only your tax dollars, so we made you move into the defunct LaneCo, and deal. And deal you did. I have to admit, I love getting my RedBox here, and a quick cheap supply if I forgot something from ShopRite. I won’t diss you Walmart, since this location looks as Old School as you can get, and you do bring jobs, and tax revenue into the area — just don’t try going Super Walmart on us.
