Worst, worst, worst people and business I have come accross in years of my event planning career. They have zero customer service and no communication at all with their customers. They showed up to deliver the two golf carts for my event at 4pm when it was clearly stated in all the emails over a few weeks that it needs to be delivered before 8am. In addition they never called to tell me they were running late because their truck broke down. instead of apologizing they were rude on the phone. To make things worse an hour into us using the carts we discovered that the horn on the golf carts were not working. I called immediately and Teri(claims is the owner) said most of their rental golf carts don’t have working horns. uhmm ok, how about you let the customer know ahead of time. No apologies again and i really thought because a) they showed up so much later than the agreed upon time and b) because the vehicle was not working in its full capacity they would send me either a nice note apologizing or really offer a small discount for the BIG inconvenience. The reason the horn was so important was because this was a huge festival with hundreds of people on the ground. We had to take these carts around this crowd with the elderly and handicapped on board. This was a service we were offering to people that came to pray at this religious event. When i didn’t receive the email, i thought to call myself and when i did i was amazed at their response. Teri, was rude and actually had the gall to say to me «did you ask for a golf cart with a working horn». uhmm again sorry but i usually don’t go into a car rental place either asking them that the most obvious things like the horn and breaks are in working condition. To that Teri replied«well one shouldn’t assume. See what happens when you assume.» I have reported them to the better business bureau, have written them a email and am going to post this on all of the important sites to alert people that might want to do business with them. I understand we only ordered two golf carts but nonetheless we gave them business and this is no way to treat your customers. Shame on you Tri State Golf Carts and Teri. I was hired by a small company to plan their event and they went with this company only based on my recommendation which definitely put my career and reputation on line as well.
