Being of Amish heritage, I am always suspicious when a business claims Amish authenticity. Ben’s holds up to their claim. The pretzels are soft, and addictingly delicious. They have a good number of dipping sauces to choose from, but the pretzel stands on its own, flavor-wise. Pretzels are fresh, and if you order, for example, sugar and cinnamon, you don’t receive a pretzel that’s been sitting there under the lights that heat the sugar, giving it a more burnt flavor. Your pretzel gets the sugar and cinnamon applied once you order, so it maintains that freshness in every way. Their staff is friendly and welcoming, accommodating special requests and creating a fun, happy atmosphere. I always like to visit when I go to Wal-Mart because they go out of their way to be sure I am happy. I have even been known to stop in when I had no other shopping to do — they are that good. I also love their pretzel dogs, and I am looking forward to tasting their warm, melted peanut butter on some buggy bites today… or maybe some pretzel sticks… they go extremely well with dipping!
